About: My lifelong love of animals came initially from my farming family and with the gift of a kitten in elementary school. Once married, I moved on to my own canines as well and learned the nuances of being a dog mom. I have thoroughly enjoyed the huge impact pets have on our wellbeing. I've rescued pets, owned full breeds, and shelter animals with each bringing love into my life and the life of my family. After becoming widowed, a son wanted his father's dog, which has left me pet-less for the first time in my life. I now can share this love and the responsiblity I know you need from a pet sitter as a 20 year pet mom and former banker to help you when you need someone who respects and values your pets as much as you do! I currently work as a freelance writer and online shop owner so I am able to be flexible to your needs seven days a week. I believe in tailoring care to your pet, so as to meet the exercise, emotional and feeding needs of your animal. Depending on services, we can craft a plan which best meets your pet's needs and your finances
About: I’ve taken care of a variety of dogs for as long as I can remember! From pit bulls to poodles. I currently have a German shepherd husky mix and she is the sweetest, gets along great with other dogs. I’m not currently working so I’m fully available to house sit and/or walk your animals as often as you need. I love dogs and cats! I currently live in an apartment with my doggie, kitty, and two year old son. He loves helping me feed our pets and take them outside to play and go on walks. We have a small fenced dog park in our apartment complex. We go there often. But I prefer to care for your pets in your home where they are comfortable. I’m unfortunately not allowed to have other pets in my home.

About: Hello! I have had and cared for many different types of pets - dogs, cats, ferrets, turtles, bunnies, hamsters, Guinea pigs, bearded dragons, and fish my entire life! I also have experience with many stages of a pet’s life including puppies, training, seniors, sick/treatment care, and more. I have volunteer experience at Alaqua Animal Refuge in Freeport, FL. This provides me with the training to work with dogs that are anxious, abused, lonely, energetic, scared, and reactive to people and other dogs. My husband and I are retired and empty-nesters. So, I have plenty of flexibility to play/walk with your animals and do drop-ins as needed! I will provide professional references upon request. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! Whether you live locally or if you are just vacationing and need someone to check in on your furry friend while you are soaking up the sun, I am here for you. You can trust that I will treat and care for your pets as if they are my own. All instructions will be followed and I will leave your home in the same condition if not better as when I arrived. Please communicate to me if your animal has any preferences or special needs so I can accommodate your loved ones and give them the best experience! I was blessed to retire early and my children have left the nest, so I have lots of time to spend with all fur babies!!! :) I have a fenced yard and two dogs. I am willing to discuss your dog staying at my home depending on their size and age.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for most of my adult life, about 20 years. I have a love for all animals and caring for them brings me great joy. I recently moved to Panama City from Eastern Pennsylvania and am a veteran of the Army Reserves. Currently trying to find steady work but in the meantime I'm available anytime to dog/cat sit. My hours for pet care are ideally early morning - mid afternoon. Extended overnight sits can be accommodated. Walks and Visits are easily doable for me in the morning and daytime. I’d be willing to follow and adhere to any rules/restrictions for myself and their pets to a standard I hold myself to as a responsible human being for a pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
