About: I have taken care of all sorts of animals since I was very little. I am a equine major and own 3 dogs and a cat. About: I have taken care of both cats and dogs for years. I've taken care of dogs over 100lbs to 5 pounds, I've had cats all my life (including 4 right now) and they're some of my favorite creatures to care for. I currently work part time, and making time for caring and walking animals is what fulfills me the most! ( I only work part time so I can do this) My cats are strictly indoors, everyone has goes to the vet regularly and has a routine. When I visit clients house I make sure I follow their directions step by step. About: Hi my name is Cory! I love dogs and they seem to know it right away. I have been around dogs since I was 4 years old. I have owned 2 akitas and an English bulldog . My latest Akita Diablo passed away 5 years ago and I haven't gotten another dog since his passing so currently I have no dogs. I only have chinchillas and a hamster as of now. I have a lot of experience working with dogs and they seem to feel relaxed and comfortable when in my care, making this the perfect job for me. I know how to approach these animals in a way that is non-threatening to reduce their anxiety and to help them relax. I can help to maintain the routine they are used to, so they will not get anxious or feel so alone while their owners are away. I have extensive knowledge concerning the different breeds of dogs and I know how to take care of them properly. I understand that some breeds have special needs and that the age of the dog will play a major role in how to take care of them. About: Growing up, my very first chores were dog- related, so animal care has always been integral in my life. While I sadly no longer have any furry friends of my own, I am an animal person at heart. I’ve pet-sat for family, neighbors, friends, Rover clients, for pets of all breeds and sizes, and I’m very comfortable around any dogs. I grew up with 2 German-shorthaired pointers, and I was responsible for their care daily before and after school. As we (me and the dogs!) all got older, I was the primary caretaker of them in their senior years, so I’m very familiar with the struggles and ailments that come with elderly dogs. I am strong enough to lift most dogs if stairs are any issue- our dogs were around 60-70lbs. I have had roommates with cats who I’ve become very close with. I’ve always loved cats, so learning to care for them and earning their trust was so exciting. I’ve cared for the cats for a week’s time before, so would feel comfortable caring for cats as well. I love pet sitting- it’s nice to have a furry friend to visit since I lack one in my own family at the moment! Any client of mine gets all the pets and attention they could ever dream up. I am also very active, and I walk or run every day, so having a companion there is a bonus for us both! I look forward to your consideration, and if you have any questions about my experience or anything please let me know. I am currently between full-time jobs but keeping my calendar updated very frequently with my summer availability as I am hoping to pick up work either ongoing or on a one-time basis! Depending on the comfort of each pet, I always spend some time introducing myself and getting to know them at first. Spend some time petting them and getting them comfortable with my presence in their space, and next playing with them if they’re up for it. Once they know they can trust me, we’ll take the day ahead together and they’ll alternate resting, playing with toys, and walking outside. About: I’ve lived so little of my life without a dog around. What separates me from other sitters is that I live to care. I rescued and raised my dog myself and she is exceptionally sweet and friendly. I’ve seen a lot. With all types of dogs. I once saved a senior beagle from the lockjaw of an untrained pitbull for example.
