“Mattisen has been a wonderful dog sitter for my dog Rose. She visits during the day to let her out and spends time with her while I’m at work. Mattisen has been very communicative during her visits and I have felt very secure leaving Rose in her company while I’m not there.”

About: I’ve always had animals in the home. I absolutely adore them and love spending time with them. I have experience giving medications to dogs and specific feeding routines. I do work 8-3:30 most days besides weekends so I can be with the animals a lot and work a consistent schedule that allows me to be with the animals on a certain routine. I have a fenced in yard, with lots of shade. Lots of space in the backyard and inside of the home for the animals to explore.
“They were great!! I was very worried my cat wouldn’t get along with them but surprisingly he opened up to them and was very happy and well taken care of when I came back from my trip. 100% would recommend”
“Thanks for taking such good care of Lucy. She was happy and healthy when my husband got home. Appreciate you!!!! Reliable and gets along with a spoiled Dashound. Not an easy task!”

“Emily had great communication while we were gone and took the time to come by and meet our pups before we left. They were very comfortable with her very quickly. She even did a nail trim while we were gone which one of our dogs can make challenging to do by yourself. We’ll be rebooking Emily in the future”

“We booked with Sarah over 10 times now because she is awesome! We can tell she really cares about our pets and shows them lotsss of love! We have also given her complicated care/feeding instructions and she followed them perfectly. When we’ve had to suddenly change our booking she is always very understanding and does whatever she can to help. We recommend her highly and will continue to book her!”

“Jessica was available within the same day. She communicated well and provided updates/pictures. She made our first experience on this app a great one! We will use her again and recommend her to family and friends!”

“Angie was amazing with both my cats and dogs! Super easy to communicate with, kept me updated, and sent the cutest photos while I was away. I felt totally at ease knowing they were in good hands. I’d definitely book with her again!”

About: A little about me…I absolutely love animals! I would be the person who will feed a stray and make sure it’s taken care of or potentially finds a home. I provide attentive care, including feeding, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I’m also comfortable following specific routines, administering basic medications if needed, and keeping owners updated with regular photos and messages for peace of mind. I treat every dog as if they were my own and strive to create a fun, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. I would love the opportunity to care for your furry family member! I am available whenever needed. My teenage kids also love to help me with the fur babies I care for. We are all animal lovers. ❤️ I have a fenced yard so your pet will always be safe with me. I will make sure to always protect your pet while with me.

About: I've met nearly any kind of dog and cat you can imagine, with personalities and needs of all sorts. My family has always relied on me to take care of and tend to many of their pets. What makes them so inclined to choose me comes from my extensive knowledge and expertise on animal health and body language. Every pet has something to say, and I always do my best to make an animal feel safe, seen, and understood. Animal behavior (more specifically dogs and cats) is one of my special interests, so I am always learning new ways to understand and bond with furry friends. You can always count on me to give your pet the absolute happiest and comforting experience that I can offer, no matter their circumstances—I've even tended to partially-paralyzed pets, so no matter the situation, I will always put your pet first and make sure they know I'm there to help. Pet care will fit into my weekly routine wherever possible! I've got all sorts of time on my hands, so I will always be available to tend to your fur baby! I currently have 2 cats that get along quite well. They are offered several scratching posts and cat trees, alongside many toys and exclusive playtime for enrichment. I've grown up with several dogs as well, so I'll always know exactly how to make your pet feel comfortable and at home!

I work 2 days a week 5pm-9pm and 1 day a week 7am-4:00pm I was an intern at a vet clinic for the past 2 summers so I have experience being able to read your babies body language and how to control the situation if you would like to ask how I would handle certain situations feel free to ask and I will happily answer:) I will also bathe your pets, trim nails if requested with no extra charges. I do not charge for extra pets I am trying to fix it on my profile

“Kelly had been wonderful! She first kept my sick kittie who needed daily sub-q injections and extra attention while recovering from an illness. Kelly has the perfect home setup for your fur babies, plus excellent vet tech skills. She then made home visits for over a week to take care of my entire “herd” while I was on vacation. I bet they all miss Kelly! Everything was taken care of perfectly and the daily visit check-ins and pics were great.”

“We had a great experience with Jordyn! She was punctual, caring, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She kept us regularly updated with messages and photos, which we really appreciated. It was clear that our dog was in good hands and received plenty of love and attention. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in La Porte. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
