About: I've cared for dogs for 30+ years. My first dog was a Boxer but I've downsize to a 13 lb Poodle mix, Sammy. He is one of the joys of my life. In the past I did dog training and was a member of several dog clubs. I'm retired now and am always home. I am retired and am a homebody. Because I'm home, I'll be here for your dog. Sammy and I look forward to meeting your furbaby. We have a safe and secure fence yard that is wood, 6 feet high. The gates have locks to keep your dog secure while playing in the yard.

About: I’ve fostered over 300 cats and dogs since 2017 through Rescued Pets Movement and BARC in Houston, TX. I’ve worked in an upscale kennel/boarding facility in the past and can easily adhere to specific routines some pets may require. I currently live near the Medical Center in Houston, TX with my male fiancée. I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life- I love all animals but have much more experience with larger dogs vs. smaller breeds. I work 100% remotely and am home generally all the time on the weekdays unless I need to run out for an hour or two, during which my personal dogs are required to be crated by my landlord. Depending upon weekend plans, my personal dogs are crated for no more than 8 hours a day while we are out and are fine with this. I am happy to not make plans on a weekend I am watching your pets if they suffer from separation anxiety or similar condition. My two personal dogs are a 6 year old male black lab mix (Avery) and a 2 year old female Great Pyrenees rescue (Kona). They are both incredibly sweet and gentle with all animals and people they encounter. Kona is a bit shy with new people but is great around other dogs and LOVES cats. All of my animals, including my two female cats, are all spayed or neutered. We also have a “senior” kitty LadyBird who is around 7-8 years old and a 5 month old Russian Blue kitten named Romy. The cats are the well established bosses of the house but please do not book with me if you have a dog that is aggressive toward people, other dogs, or cats. I work 9-5, 100% remote from my home and can take as many breaks as needed for potty breaks and usually a trip or two per week to the local dog park after working hours. My animals are big couch potatoes and love to lounge around while I work and listen to music or watch tv. We always use slip lead leashes unless we are at the fenced in dog park. Because of my remote work, I am able to maintain a quiet, relaxed and peaceful home environment that would hopefully quell some animal anxiety being in a new place.

“5-Star Dog Boarding Experience!! I can't say enough good things about my recent experience with Great Woof Lodge! From the moment I dropped off my dog, Bella, I felt completely at ease. The staff was incredibly welcoming and took the time to get to know Bella’s personality, which made me feel confident that she would be well cared for during her stay. The facility was clean and spacious. Bella is quite the social butterfly, and I loved receiving daily updates and photos of her playing with other pups. The boarding package included not just a cozy sleeping area but also daily walks and playtime, which I really appreciated. Bella came home happy and tired, which is a sure sign that she had a great time! I highly recommend Great Woof Lodge to anyone looking for a reliable and loving place to board their furry friends. I will definitely be returning for Bella’s next stay! Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my girl!”

Erin I.
“I left my senior cat Fiona with Erin while I was out of town, and she was absolutely amazing! Fiona needs daily medication, which can be tricky since she’s not always thrilled about taking it, but Erin handled it wonderfully and kept Fiona so comfortable. Erin sent tons of cute pics and texts, updating me on how Fiona was doing, so I never once stressed about her. She’s super genuine and sweet, and you can tell she truly loves animals. Erin’s constant check-ins made it feel like she was with family. I’d trust her with Fiona anytime and highly recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter!”

Ariel E.

“Ariel was great! Super sweet and very flexible with us! Our dog loved her!”

Cheyanne R.
“Cheyanne did an amazing job with my dog. I have used Cheyanne for many years and she has helped me pick out my boy. I had my heart set on Great Dane and Cheyanne helped me test each puppy I looked at for possible service work and after some time I finally found my boy Duke. Cheyanne gave great pointers for raising Duke in a prospect service home mind set she has trained myself as well with it I was completely unaware that so much more comes into having and training a service dog and she was amazing through this journey with me. I first brought Duke when he was 5 months old for board & train with Cheyanne for 4 weeks in the 4 weeks she had him almost completely potty trained knowing his commands sit, down, place, recall, heel ignoring people, waiting for command at the door before exiting, and started having him do some light retrieving exercises. I continued the training and had private sessions off and on when I needed more help. When Duke was 2 years old I ended up with a bad horse riding accident and broke my leg so Duke went to Cheyanne for boarding and just maintaining his training. He was with her for 6 months then he came back home. During the 6 months I had Cheyanne also teach him light mobility exercises and the crowed control. I wanted him to be about finished since he was coming up on 3 so I had ask her to finish him and she took the last 4 months of his 6 months stay of boarding and did remaining training with him.Duke is now a fully trained service dog. Cheyanne took on Duke even though he was a Great Dane which are known for being lazy and stubborn along with past knowledge of others trainers refusing to work with me since I wanted a Great Dane as my service dog. Duke has learned deep pressure therapy, turn on/off lights, medicine retrieval, light mobility exercises for me to continue and also orbit (crowd control). He is on and off leash trained! Duke goes to Cheyanne regularly for grooming and sometimes for boarding if I absolutely need it like when I was moving into a new house he stayed for a couple days he loves going to her house. I can’t say enough great things about Cheyanne and her business she truly cares for these animals”
