About: Thank you for checking our profile. We are new here but we have lots of experience with dogs, including special ones (deaf, disabled, giants 😉). We grew up around them. We would be happy to provide a fun and safe stay for your four-pawed loved ones while you are out. Hope to meet you and your pet soon ☺️🐾 We are full time at home and would love a furry companion. They will have lot of attention and love from us. We usually go on walks 2-3 times a day but adaptable depending on needs. We are open for different diet types. We just moved from Miami. We live in a large house with a large fenced backyard and balcony. Our house is surrounded by green area and 2 blocks from the ocean. Perfect for walks or lazy days. No small kids are at home. We are able to take care 1 or 2 dogs at a time if they are from same owner, so we can dedicate our days fully to your pet. As a dog owner I know how stressful and important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. We will make sure to send you plenty of pictures and video updates of your pets. We can provide different services such as pick up and drop off, baths and any other special request. We also available for check-ins and daycare. We can provide a separate area for your pet .
About: I’ve cared for pets for decades and I have 2 grand dogs and 5 grand cats. I have been blessed to care for many dogs, a half dozen cats, fish, hamsters, 3 baby squirrels and a hedgehog at my home and in others. Familiar with senior pet care, giving meds, raising puppies & kittens and I love to snuggle. I am retired and am available night and day. I miss our senior dog that we rescued as a puppy who passed a few months ago. In need of snuggles! I have pretty large grassy backyard for your dogs activities and a sunroom with full length windows for your pet to watch for birds, squirrels, hummingbirds, ect. I don’t mind having pets on my furniture or in my bed. I will provide the routine that your pet is used too and I am very familiar with senior dog care and puppy care too. We are in a gated community and I will be able to be home most of the time with the exception of a few small errands.
“Jess was great at making me feel comfortable prior to our first doggy day care day with her. She offered a site visit, but I chose to do a video call instead for ease of my schedule. Through talking to her I instantly knew she would be a great fit for my dog. Upon drop off, she welcomed me in so I could see where Norton would be for the day. She sent several updates with pictures throughout the day. Norton seemed to have a good time and felt relaxed in her home. Thank you Jess for the peace of mind taking care of my furbaby while we did a day trip. We will definitely use Jess again.”

“Taylor and his family were SO sweet and I could not be more grateful for them! Taylor sent lots of pictures and I could tell Beaux had a great time. We will definitely be booking with Taylor next time we’re in the area.”

“Jerry was absolutely amazing! My booking was pretty last minute because I was so scrambled that weekend, but Jerry was able to pull through and helped me so much! Bud looked like he had an absolute blast with Jerry and Bud got taken on so many new adventures which he looked like he absolutely loved. Jerry was even able to pick up Bud for me which saved me so much time that morning and gave him a bath for me before I went to go pick up Bud later that day! Jerry is literally so amazing and I will definitely book with him again in the future!”

About: Having been around and owned different animals all my life, I have years of experience with dog routines, feeding schedules, training habits and cuddles. I enjoy playing fetch and walking my pup daily and would love to include yours! I'm a stay at home mom so I'm around all the time for all your pets needs. I am available 7 days a week. “Valerie was wonderful with my pup. She sent updates and kept me informed as to how my pup did while he was with her. Her home and yard were safe and appropriate for pet sitting. I am very thankful that we found her to care for our boy.”

“Melody was so sweet! My dog Roscoe had the best time with her and her dog, so much that he couldn’t stop playing the whole time he was there! She was so considerate and thoughtful! She gave him a bath (he was all dirty from the beach) and a cute little goodie bag when we left! So helpful to have him clean on our drive home! We are from out of town but definitely will be contacting her again when we need a sitter in Wilmington and will refer my friends to her! Worth every penny! Thank you!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kure Beach
Radar had a great day with Desi and her very cute pup posse. Desi was very open about showing me her home and yard where the dogs would be. She introduced her dogs to Radar one at a time and was very mindful to make me feel comfortable leaving my puppy in her care. Desi has great dog energy and sent me photos and videos. I will definitely call on Desi for dog care in the future!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
