About: Hi I'm Katie! Also known as that British lady! I have owned dogs my entire life, usually always two at a time. I currently have one of my own after losing three elderly dogs in the last few years. I now only have Ernie a chihuahua cross i rescued from Kansas in 2017. I've had experience with various breeds and fostered ex racer greyhounds for a while in the U.K. I also have two indoor/outdoor cats I rescued as kittens from local feral cat litters. I finish work for the Summer in June and can offer drop in services up to three times a day for dogs, cats and smaller furries if you live in the local area, Maple Falls etc. These can be whilst you’re at work to give your beloved pet a potty break or they can be for longer stretches of time while you vacation so you can feel secure your dogs are in their own home safe and comfortable. I can also board dogs in my own home from all over Whatcom county if they are dog/cat/responsible kid friendly. I have a fenced in yard and a very dog friendly house! I finish work for the summer in June and have a lot of availability for both walks, drop ins and boarding! From June 12th my schedule really opens up! I have a fenced yard and a dog friendly home. I have two dog friendly cats who are indoor and outdoor and tolerated living with four dogs and two kids. Dogs are allowed on my sofa and bed but only if you allow that at home… I don’t want to create bad habits!

“Tami was fantastic. By coincidence, the first day we took our dog to Tami's place, there had been several inches of snow the night before. There was a small hill on the way to her house thaty sedan wasn't able to handle in those conditions. I let her know we were having trouble getting to her, and she drove out to meet us. Then she did the same when we came to pick our pup up from her. Really went the extra mile for us, and it was very much appreciated. Our dog came home happy and tired, and we'll definitely be going to Tami again in the future.”

About: Both my husband and I have grown up with dogs and love spending our time with them. For the past five years, we’ve regularly cared for friends' and neighbours pups while they’re away on vacation. She sent pictures, although I didn’t get them because I didn’t have WiFi on the whale watching excursion most of the time, until later but she sent me a lot of them for the short amount of time they were with her. She took great care of them. They are looking forward to going back to see her and her puppy tomorrow and spending the night with them!!!”

I grew up caring for neighborhood pups, giving them daily walks and love which fueled my admiration for them. I love spending time with animals because of how much we learn from each other. I spent summers working on a farm where I learned to work with all animals - great and small. From draft horses to cattle to chinchillas to fish to llamas to birds and bunny rabbits - I have worked with many types of animals. With dogs, I have cared for and train dogs from dachshunds to Great Pyrenees and so many breeds in between. I have worked with animals for over 15 years time as a caretaker. I volunteer at an animal shelter where I get to work with lots of different breeds.
