About: I grew up in a neighborhood my friends used to call “the farm”. We had 3 dogs, one neighbor had chickens, one neighbor had horses, and another neighbor had goats. Along with various dogs and cats at each house. Because I was the oldest kid in the neighborhood, I was the go-to person anytime a neighbor needed a house sitter or even just needed me to feed their pet dinner since they were out late. When I got older and started driving, I began dog sitting for our large group of friends, taking care of all sizes of dogs, cats, and the occasional reptile. Although I work part-time, I am generally available 7 days a week for house sitting. I am willing to accommodate crazy schedules and last minute plans if need be. I have a small home but a big yard, so while I can’t accommodate boarding, I have a large outdoor space and my own pup that is eager for play dates during the day. As for house sitting, I provide attentive, personalized care in my client’s home so your pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely. With my history in the animal health field, I am comfortable administering any medications if needed. As a person who values communication, I provide regular ‘pupdates’ and pictures so owners feel confident their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for.

With over forty years of experience with animals and as a reputable Trainer for an Assistance Dog organization, i have a strong background with animals and can provide a safe and fun environment. My home is a canine paradise! It's quiet and serene with plenty of shade, a fully fenced yard, and a private dirt road that meanders through the countryside right out our back door, - perfect for walks for the dogs. There ia a resident Labrador retrievers named "Heart" and a Bernese Mountaing Dog named "Stormy" They are great ambassadors and love to host furry friends. I can also offer training, baths/grooming just ask if you think you would like this. We look forward to your dogs vacay with us. Why I love dog sitting I know when I leave for vacation, knowing my animals are in good hands allows for me to relax and enjoy my time away worry free. Animal owners are some of the best people I have known and I love meeting new friends, human and furry alike. I work part time from home, so it makes for the ideal environment to incorporate dog sitting into the day. I care for the dogs as if they were my own and I hope that you will allow us the honor to care for you animals(s). I am currently working from home. I leave the house on occasion but can either take your dog with me for a car ride if they like that, leave your dog home or if you would prefer, crate it for a short time. I am never gone long when dogs are n my care. I treat all dogs as if they are my own and follow the instructions of the owners on what to do to make them comfortable while in my home.

While these responsibilities do not take up my entire day, they do require me to stay in the area, so I am only able to take on pet care within Sebastopol. I have a flexible schedule and am available any day of the week in the Sebastopol area. I’m able to accommodate morning, midday, and evening visits, as long as it is within the area. I follow your instructions closely and stick to your pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always safe, and I pay attention to each pet’s behavior so I can respond to what they need, whether that’s space, attention, or exercise. I keep your home tidy and respect your space, and I’m happy to send updates and photos so you know how everything is going.
