About: I've owned a small dogwalking/pet sitting business since 1999. I am CPDT-KA certified in dog training as well. I've worked with all breeds of dogs, ages with many different dispositions. My husband & I moved from Brooklyn(where we had our biz since 2006) to New Paltz this summer. We are continuing to do personal & very limited boarding in our new home. I am also offering private training sessions(in your home) . I specialize in puppy or newly adopted pups/dogs. Doggie care is part of my daily routine. I have 2 dogs of my own, both less energy less days, but still enjoy getting their walks & sniffs in. The very limited boarding means your dogs stay with our family, always supervised & leashed outside. We have many dogs beds but can bring your own.

“Lisa Erin is lovely and kind and great with our dog. She was flexible and was not afraid of rain. Most impressive- she asked to meet our dog first to be sure it was a good fit. Great pick”

About: I have cared for dogs and cats of all kinds since I was 13 years old. Friends and family have trusted me to take care of their pets. I’m currently working part time, so I’ll have good quality of time to spend playing and walking with your beloved pet. I am available weekends and during the week any time. Whether you prefer to have your fur baby cared for at your house or mine, I am available to watch over them as if they were mine.

“Akash was great with my 11 month old lab, Clancy. I hired him for a 60-minute walk & he went above and beyond by offering to take Clancy on a local nature hike instead of his usual walks around the neighborhood. Akash was a great communicator, and kept me updated with pictures & short videos of Clancy hiking, which was awesome! I look forward to hiring Akash again!”

So, I do have limitations and restrictions when it comes to boarding. Regardless of whether I care for your pet in your home or in mine, they will receive gentle, loving treatment from an experienced pet daddy.

About: I’ve done lots of pet sitting gigs in between jobs and seasonal work. I have nannied for two families for longer stints (1 year +) both of which have had dogs and cats, who I was responsible for in addition to childcare. I am a full-time farmer and animal lover looking for some extra income :) My farming job has long hours during the week so weekends are my preferred scheduling times, but I have a car and am happy to commute! I love getting to know pets based on their personality. Because I work so closely with nature and wildlife on a daily basis, I am very in tune with the human to animal connection. Kindness, empathy, and understanding are crucial. Even though pets don’t speak our physically language, they can read our bodies and energy so this is the most important part of creating a great relationship with them.

About: I’ve been raised in a house with many types of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents, birds and fish! I have worked at and volunteered at multiple wildlife rehabilitation centers and zoos, and have been taking care of family and friends’ household pets for many years. I’m focusing on school and working in my passion throughout this summer. I’ll be free most weekdays and weekends unless stated otherwise on my calendar. I am experienced in giving medication to animals and treating superficial wounds. I also have experience in dog training, crating, and cat & dog CPR.

About: I worked for the UCSPCA for 12 years (manager of animal care for four years)! I’ve had dogs/cats since I was little. They bring me great joy! I’m very active and love to hike safely. I know how to do basic training (not certified but have worked alongside trainers for years): leash walking improvement, reactivity improvement, basic commands). I have a senior, Bubba. He goes potty 3-4x per day in addition to hiking (Mohonk, Vernooykill Falls, Neversink, Catskills, etc) multiple times a week. I offer potty walks, playtime, leash work, hiking, easy rail trail walks, stay-in pet sitting, playtime with Bubba. I have been pet sitting/walking for many years (mostly through word of mouth, volunteers from my work at the shelter, adopters, etc).

About: I’ve been caring for animals my whole life, a dedicated dog momma for 9 years and cat momma for 1. I’d love to take your pup on a nature hike with my dogs during the day - please reach out for a meet and greet so we can do introductions :) I have a very flexible schedule these days. I am in school and work part time from home. With enough notice I can usually plan around most daytime requests. I am not currently offering boarding. I will consult with you on your pets daily habits and needs and make sure to keep things consistent.

About: I grew up on a farm in the Hudson Valley and have experience with a variety of animals. Animals are my passion and I can’t wait to meet your best friends. I work part-time locally in New Paltz, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets. I am flexible weekdays and weekends to accommodate your schedule. Please let me know if you have a fenced in yard and if your animal is house and create trained. Do they love to go on walks? Do they love puddles?

About: I grew up with dogs, a cat, gerbil, fish, and even a rescue squirrel. I have been pet sitting for a few years and just love it. I take care of all breeds, ages, and size dogs as well as cats and other traditional pets. I can administer oral meds and ointments. While I am not a trainer, I do everything I can to reinforce any training they have or are undergoing. I am a full time pet sitter. I occasionally do some consulting but that is all WFH. I am flexible and don't have any day restrictions. While I am open to boarding and some dog walking, I typically do pet sitting in your house and drop-ins while people are out of town. My goal is to keep consistency for your animals. I ask questions to understand what they are allowed and not allowed to do, eat, etc. and I stick to it. I believe pets are a member of your family, not just some animal. I will do everything I can to create a safe environment for them. I will also take their lead. If they want pets, they will get it. If they are more standoffish, I won't force contact. Their well being is my #1 priority. You will find I am very communicative, and provide updates how and when you would like. While my 1st priority is their safety, my second, is providing you will peace of mind, so you can fully enjoy your time away.

About: I have special experience with a variety of animals. Additionally, I've studied behavioral training. Growing up we had rabbits and rats, my sisters have had multiple large size dogs, and we currently have six cats in our family. As a self-employed business owner and entrepreneur providing myself with work breaks not only allows me to explore regularly, but also gives me the loving energy I need by interacting with animals daily. I'm highly aware that being allowed into someone's house is a tentative and sacred allowance. I take all the care to be respectful of human environments while caring for your most beloved pet/baby. My ultimate goal is to become best friends with your animal family member.

About: I’ve taken care of young puppies, energetic dogs and senior pets as well. We are an outdoorsie family and like to go for long walk and hikes with our dog. High energy pet is a no problem! Our current dog is a senior, so we have a nice accommodating environment for her and other senior pups. I’m staying home currently with a baby. I decided to start providing pet care for extra income and for interacting with other animals, as we are not a able to get more animals at this time. I have a large house with a one acre yard and an and an overhead trolley cable. There are multiple rooms where the dogs can rest and a large crate where the doggies can be if they feel safe there.

Janeece R.
“Janeece has been a pet lover her entire life. She has trained all of her pets to be obedient and loving family members. Besides training them, she has nursed some back to health, rescued several, and put smiles on several children with her well behaved canines. Her greatest achievement is the amount of love she shows them through their entire lives. They are not pets to her...they are an extension of her happiness. I would trust Janeece with any animal at any time as I know they will be cared for like they were her own.”

David S.

cassidy c.
“Cassidy is a caring and responsible animal lover with years of experience caring for animals. Knowing she has training in animal CPR and first aid gives me confidence that she can offer the best care for all my pets. The additional fact that she is studying to be a zoologist offers further comfort that Cassidy’s pet sitting and companionship will be the best possible care for the animals I hold close to my heart.”

Logan L.
“I’ve known Logan for over 10 years. When I became the Operations Manager at the Ulster County SPCA, Logan stood out as the best employee on our team for many reasons. She is a true team player—kind, compassionate, and genuinely caring toward both people and animals. Logan began her work in animal care and never hesitated to get her hands dirty. Her versatility and dedication allowed her to wear many hats, including taking on management roles. She has overseen the care of both cats and dogs, managed daily routines, monitored medical conditions, and facilitated adoptions. In addition, she played a critical role in training animals, staff, and volunteers alike. Logan is dependable, empathetic, reliable, and honest. She has a warm, calming presence and an incredible personality that puts everyone at ease. She truly has a gift with animals—she recently worked with a difficult, untrained dog belonging to a family member, and in just one session, she was able to get the dog to peacefully coexist with another it had previously tried to attack. I would trust Logan completely—with my animals, my home, and without hesitation.”

Emilee F.
“Highly recommended! Emilee is my full time dog sitter. She takes care of my 4 dogs while I am out of town or at work. She has completed numerous over night stays and she has sent me photos of my fur babies while I am away to check in and let me know she has everything under control. She treat my house as it is her own and has kept it cleaner than I do when my pups make a mess. She is on call for me if I need her to stop by and let them out for a potty break, or if I am running late from work she runs and feeds them for me. I have 4 large dogs and she has no problem bringing them for walks. She is very responsive and is a great communicator. My dogs never go without cuddles or care when she is around. If you are looking for help while you are on vacation, out of town, at work, or just simply want your pet to get more attention, Emilee is your answer! Highly recommended by the community in the area! She won’t let you down no matter what type of pet you have.”

Meg V.
“Meg watched my 14-year-old dog, Chloe, for several days at my house. When we got back, we couldn't even tell that another person had been there! The kitchen was clean, the bed was made, and Chloe was so well taken care of. Meg is an excellent sitter. She took the time to meet beforehand, we went over all of my pet's needs, and she followed instructions. She also cleans up after herself. I have had bad experiences in the past, where housesitters have left dishes in the sink, beds unmade, and just a mess. Meg was not only a great dogsitter, but an immaculate houseguest. I can't recommend her highly enough!”

James H.
“We had James dog sit/house sit for us over the summer and she was great! I am quite nervous leaving our dog with anyone, because she slips off her leash and has lots of naughty behaviors mixed with anxiety. However James was fantastic. She spent quality time with our dog and sent photos to keep us updated on everything. I highly recommend James for house/pet sitting! 💜🐾”

Karina B.
“Karina has always been a dog and cat lover. She goes above and beyond for the animals in her care. She rescued a sick kitten and took in a senior dog. Besides the basic needs she always makes sure that the animals have the phisical and mental stimulation they need for their age.”
