Matt stayed overnight with our dogs while we were away for a week. Matt arrived around dinner time and stayed overnight. After feeding them breakfast, he'd leave for a few hours and then come back mid-day for a play break. We got proactive daily communication and pictures. Which was great! Matt even accommodated an unusual request when a family member needed access to our home while we were away, which was much appreciated. We would definitely use (Jenni &) Matt again.

The most amazing experience with Elisa!! She was incredibly awesome with our very shy 2 dogs. She was extremely patient to gain their trust (not easy to do BTW lol) to the point that they even slept with her after getting to know her- that is how good she is! We loved Elisa and definitely will be our -go to- from now on every time we need a doggy sitter. Our girls got a new bestie with Elisa!

What a delight it was to have faith watch our four year-old golden retriever! It put me at ease knowing our Doggo was being well cared for. Faith did a wonderful job with communication starting from a meet and greet all the way to letting us know when she was leaving. She went above and beyond with check-ins and photos to washing and remaking the bedbefore she left. We will definitely be using Faith again for our future trips.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Kathleen! She came all the way from Maryland to Philadelphia to care for my dog, Rocco, over the past two weeks during Thanksgiving, and she was absolutely incredible. Every day, she sent me pictures of a happy and content Rocco, and it was clear he was in the best hands. I left Kathleen with multiple pages of instructions, and she followed everything to the letter. Not only did she take phenomenal care of Rocco, but she also left my home spotless. I’m almost hesitant to write this review because Kathleen is such a gem that I don’t want anyone else to book her up before I can. She’s truly amazing, and I can't recommend her highly enough!

About: I’ve had my own dog since 2017 and have helped care for him ever since. For the past 5 summers, I’ve also dog sat and house sat for a family friend’s two standard poodles, one elderly dog with hip issues and hearing/vision loss, and one younger, high-energy dog who needed lots of attention and play. Last fall, I cared for the older dog during his final days, helping him stand, supporting him outside, and cleaning up after him when needed. I have also dogsat for my cousin's dogs for multiple days, walking them however much they needed and spending time with them. In addition, I’ve cared for a family friend’s cat by feeding her, refreshing water, cleaning the litter box, and spending time with her while they were away. I currently have a very flexible schedule. I’m waiting to hear back about a summer internship, but even with that I would still be available for evening visits and weekends. If I do not get the internship, I’ll likely be working part-time with varying shifts, which would still allow me to do pet care during the other half of the day and let pets out before and after work. I’m reliable with scheduling and happy to work around your pet’s needs. I have an electric fence but can take will take it out on a leash if they aren't fence trained. I have a dog that is not 100% reliable on how friendly he will be if it is a male but we can easily put him away for a few hours and keep him calm. I would mostly keep a client's pet within their home/neighborhood.

About: I have been around and taken care of different pets since I was young. Often I pet/house sit for family/friends while they are on vacation but I have recently started watching dogs in my own home while the owners are away. I have watched dogs ranging from Cane Corso to Shih Tzu as well as several cats, hamsters and fish. I prefer to pet sit in the owners home so the pets are less stressed but will do everything I can to make them feel comfortable in my own home. I live on 4 acres that are not fenced in so if you or your dog are not okay with that I will make sure they are leashed anytime they are outside. I do have cats but they are in a separate part of the house where your pet will have no access with. I am always open to any questions or suggestions! I work full time typically from Monday to Friday. It’s usually 8-4 but can range from 4am to midnight. I will always let you know ahead of time what my schedule is or if you require something specific I’m willing to try to work something out. I have a lab that is crate trained if your dog is lonely they can go together or be in crates next to each other. The dogs will also never be alone or outside together without supervision. As for your own home I have no issue with pictures/FaceTime or cameras being in the house. I have a law enforcement background and my only concern is to care for your pets and make sure the house is secure when I leave.

Tricia is, hands down, the best pet sitter we have ever had! From start to finish, she went so far above and beyond her basic duties to make sure our home and our dog were completely cared for. Our boy can be extremely picky and hesitant with new people, but Tricia bonded with him almost instantly. He is also a big boy which can intimidate some people. She knew exactly how to make him feel comfortable, safe, and loved while we were away. She played and brushed him daily and have him lots of cuddles! Her communication was incredible. She updated us multiple times every single day and sent plenty of photos and videos, which gave us total peace of mind the entire time we were gone and allowed us to enjoy our vacation. It was so reassuring to see how happy and relaxed he was with her! On top of being an absolute natural with dogs, Tricia took exceptional care of our house and garden, tackling extra tasks and leaving everything in pristine condition for our return. If you are looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring—especially if you have a selective or picky dog—look no further than Tricia. We will absolutely be booking her again!

About: I’ve had pets (dogs and cats) since I was young and as a teen to adult have taken care of them well into their old age. Some of my pets have required extra care as they aged, and I was able to keep them comfortable while having all of their needs met. As a teen, neighbors would trust me for house drop-ins and dog walking regularly when they went on vacation or even had a sudden event that made them late to give their pets dinner. I’m capable of taking care of all needs including giving medications to stubborn dogs and cats, accident clean-up, litter box maintenance, walking, brushing, and bathing. **Years of experience ~4 collectively in which I was paid for pet-sitting services, owned and cared for pets my whole life. I am full time work from home, so I can easily schedule throughout the day to drop by for your pet, or I can bring my computer to your home and spend the day with your pets if you’d prefer! Additionally, I am available most weekends and weekday evenings after 5pm. I do occasionally travel for work, so booking at least a week in advance is preferred so that I can be sure of my availability. I have one dog (black lab, 7 y/o) and one cat (13 y/o). Both are very friendly, but my cat will most likely keep to herself. I have a fenced in yard where the dogs can roam, and live near a park with a walking trail so a long walk is also an option. My lawn has been treated for ticks and fleas.

About: I’ve always loved caring for animals and have experience with a variety of pets! I regularly dog sit and provide dog walks, and I also have experience horse sitting. I’ve cared for smaller animals as well, including having a pet hedgehog of my own. I’m comfortable following specific routines, giving pets plenty of attention, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away! I’m currently a full-time college student, so my schedule varies by day. On school days, I’ll typically be away from home for about 6–8 hours at a time. I’m available around my class schedule for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting, and I have more flexibility on days when I don’t have classes. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and find a schedule that works best for both of us! I care for every pet as if they were my own! I make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, and lots of attention and affection. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including walks, feeding schedules, medication if needed, and any special instructions. I also make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and never left without the care they need. I’ll keep you updated with pictures and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Kemblesville on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 1,488 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Kemblesville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kemblesville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kemblesville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kemblesville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kemblesville. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
