“Marissa and her husband were wonderful. Very warm and welcoming and very friendly; they immediately put you at ease about leaving your pup in their care. The boys loved their time with Marissa, got plenty of walks and scratches, and I got a lot of pictures, which was so nice. Thank you, Marissa! We will definitely be going back, and I would highly recommend them.”

About: Hi! I’m Julianna, and animals have always been my people- dogs especially. I’m college educated with a background in psychology, and my hands-on experience includes working as a veterinary assistant and training under the animal behaviorist at Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, where I developed a real eye for canine body language and communication. I know what a relaxed dog looks like, what an anxious one needs, and how to read the subtle signals in between. I have a particular soft spot for senior dogs. I’ve loved and owned a few myself, navigating medications, mobility needs, and the extra patience and tenderness that comes with caring for an older animal. If your senior pup needs someone who genuinely gets it- I do! I believe every dog has its own personality and pace, and I’m never in a rush to push past what they’re comfortable with. Whether your pup is confident and social or a little shy and particular, I’ll meet them wherever they are. Outside of time with animals, I’m happiest outdoors- hiking, backpacking, and camping are my reset buttons, so a long walk or an adventure with your dog is genuinely my idea of a great day. When I’m not with dogs, I’m usually with my cat Harry, who has made it very clear that he runs the household. So yes, I’m also fully vetted by a feline. I originally joined Rover in 2018 and am just reactivating my account after an extended hiatus. While I’m rebuilding reviews here, my background speaks for itself- and I’m happy to do a complimentary meet and greet so you can see firsthand how I interact with your pet before committing to anything. I’d love to meet your dog and earn their trust — and yours 😊🐕🐾❤️ Pet care fits naturally into the rhythm of my day rather than feeling like an add-on. I keep a flexible schedule that allows me to be genuinely present and attentive- not rushed between commitments. Whether it’s a morning walk, midday check-in, or an extended stay, I prioritize showing up consistently and on time. Animals pick up on stress and distraction, so I make a point of bringing calm, focused energy to every visit. Every pet and household is different, so I always start by learning the specific routines, preferences, and needs of each animal before anything else. I follow your pet’s established schedule as closely as possible- familiar routines reduce anxiety and help them feel secure in your absence. I’m comfortable administering medications, managing special dietary needs, and handling the extra care that senior or high-needs pets require. Your home and your pet’s comfort are always treated with the same respect I’d want for my own ❤️
“Sharon and Fred are simply the best, and the boys are pretty much family at this point :). I expect to take all of her open dates for the foreseeable future. Sorry everyone :)”

“Gail was great with Charlie. First of all, she stepped in last minute to help us out when another Rover situation fell through. She kept Charlie calm during a massive thunderstorm and he was walked and happy when we picked him up. I would definitely recommend Gail and would use her again in a heartbeat. She has a heart for animals and it shows.”

“Giselle is a sweetheart. As soon as we turn down her street Zoe starts to get excited. Giselle’s main priority is to make the dogs feel loved, keep them active, and give them a beautiful clean environment. Zoe is so content with Giselle and that means everything to me. If you want the best for your dog, look no further. Marjorie A.”

“Christy did a great job with my dog. She sent pictures of her throughout the day and kept me updated on how she was doing. I was also very impressed with the layout of her home as it provides so much space for my dog to roam/run especially on her covered patio.”

About: I’ve had a dog for 15 years and have taken care of many of my friends, family’s and neighbors dogs as well. I’ve always gotten good reviews and really enjoy spending time with the pups whether it’s feeding them, walking them or playing with them. My schedule is pretty open right now, so I’m very flexible with walking and feeding and boarding. I always prioritize taking care of animals before I attend any other plans. I have a fenced back yard all around with lots of trees for the pups to play in. I also keep small things out of dog’s reach that could be potential chewing or swallowing hazards.

Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, sticking to a routine, or providing extra patience and attention, I’m committed to giving your dog the best possible care and keeping you updated for peace of mind. I work from home, which allows me to be present throughout the day and provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine, whether that means walks, playtime, potty breaks, sticking to your dog’s schedule, or simply keeping them company. I genuinely love dogs and enjoy making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When pets stay in my home, I make sure they feel welcome, comfortable, and part of the family. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I provide plenty of attention, supervision, and affection to help pets feel safe and secure while you’re away. I also keep pet parents updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for.
“Gema has a nice home and furnishings for dog boarding and day care. Wrigley was the only dog under Gema's care today and he obviously had a nice time with her. We would us Gema for future engagements.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 8. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I grew up on land where we raised cats, dogs, horses, lizards and more. Animals have always and will forever remain a huge part of my life. My mom is a professional dog and horse trainer and has fortunately on top of her expertise I’ve inherited her patience and love for all things furry. I work part time and from home , so I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I set my schedule weekly and it is super flexible. I am happy to have a meet & greet play date with your pups under your supervision in order to help your dog get to know me and build your confidence that your furry friend will feel safe and loved by me!

About: I bring genuine enthusiasm and reliability to every pet I care for. With my afternoons and evenings consistently available, I'm there when most pet owners need help- during the workday stretch when dogs need a break and that important evening routine when you're stuck at the office. What makes my approach different is that I truly pay attention to each pet's individual personality. Some dogs need a high-energy adventure walk, while others prefer a leisurely stroll with plenty of sniff breaks. I adapt to what makes your pet happiest and most comfortable, not what's easiest for me. I'm observant and communicative. If I notice anything unusual- a change in appetite, energy level, or behavior- I'll let you know right away. I understand that pets can't tell us when something's wrong, so I stay alert and keep you informed with regular photo updates. I also respect that inviting someone into your home requires trust. I'm punctual, follow instructions carefully, and treat your space with care. You'll never wonder if I showed up or how your pet is doing, I make sure you have that peace of mind. While I'm still growing my professional pet care experience, I approach every dog with patience, care, and a commitment to making sure they feel safe and happy while you're away. Your pet isn't just another appointment on my calendar- they get my full attention and care. Pet care is a natural fit for my schedule and lifestyle. With my part-time job ending in the early afternoon, I'm consistently available from afternoon through evening, which means I can offer flexible walking times, accommodate pets who need midday attention, and be there for evening routines when many pet parents are still at work. I build my week around the pets in my care. I keep my afternoons and evenings open specifically for walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with your furry family members. This isn't something I squeeze in between other commitments, it's a priority I plan for. My routine includes daily walks for my own household, so adding your pup to our route or stopping by for a visit fits seamlessly into what I'm already doing. I'm also home in the evenings, which means I can handle last-minute requests or provide updates with photos after our time together. Whether your dog needs a consistent daily walk at 3pm or you're looking for someone reliable for afternoon drop-ins, my schedule allows me to be dependable and present for your pet's needs. For dog walking, I tailor each walk to your dog's energy level and needs. I start by learning their temperament, any commands they know, and walking preferences. During walks, I keep them engaged and safe, monitoring their behavior, keeping a secure leash grip, and watching for any signs of discomfort or stress. I always bring water for longer walks, pick up after them, and take different routes to keep things interesting. Before heading out, I ensure doors and gates are properly secured, and when we return, I make sure your pup is settled with fresh water. For drop-in visits, I follow your routine as closely as possible to minimize disruption for your pet. I'll feed them according to your schedule and instructions, refresh water bowls, administer any medications if needed, and give them the attention and playtime they crave. I also do a quick home check, securing doors, bringing in mail or packages if requested, and making sure everything is as it should be. I always send photo updates so you can see your pet is happy and well-cared for while you're away. Safety is my top priority in both services. I'm attentive to your pet's body language, careful about potential hazards during walks (other dogs, traffic, weather), and respectful of your home and belongings during visits. I treat every pet like they're my own and every home like it's my responsibility to protect.
“I booked Ada very last minute but she was still able to accommodate my puppy. She took my dog to the beach with her two doggies and my dog had a blast! When I came to pick her up, she gave me a rundown of how her day went. Very comfortable with leaving my dog with her.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for many years. I currently have 2 dogs. One is diabetic so I have plenty of experience at giving shots. I am a certified pet sitter and also recently passed a pet CPR certification. I recently retired, so would have plenty of time to hang out with your pet. Walking them, playing with them, all brings joy to me and therefore happiness to the pet! I have a fully fenced in large back yard and two dogs at home that are very good with other dogs, if you opt to have me watch them at my house. Your pet will be very comfortable and happy! I can also care for pets in your home, just need a break to come home and give my dog her insulin shots every 12 hours.
About: Your dog will be treated like family in my home. I provide a safe, loving, and attentive environment where your pup can feel comfortable, relaxed, and happy. They’ll get plenty of exercise, structured playtime, and supervision throughout the day. I also reinforce good behavior with positive encouragement (and treats, if approved!). My pup, Riley is very friendly, social, and used to being around other dogs. She loves having company and enjoy playing, running, and interacting in a safe and supervised way. I take pride in making sure every dog in my care feels comfortable, loved, and right at home. I’m happy to follow any specific routines, feeding schedules, or care instructions you provide. My schedule is very flexible, so I can easily accommodate feeding times, walks, play sessions, and any specific routines your dog is used to. Whether your dog needs frequent potty breaks, lots of exercise, or just companionship, I’m able to adjust to their needs. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a clean, secure, and loving environment where every dog is treated like family. In my home, I make sure all dogs are supervised at all times, with a safe space to relax and plenty of room for play. I introduce dogs to each other carefully and only allow interaction if they are comfortable and friendly. I follow each dog’s specific routine and care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, and any special needs. I also keep a close eye on behavior to make sure your dog is happy, stress free, and safe. For walks, I use secure leashes and stay alert to the surroundings to ensure your dog is always protected. I never leave dogs unattended outside and always prioritize safe, controlled environments. If I’m caring for your dog in your home, I will respect your space, follow your instructions carefully, and keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible to reduce stress. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Juno Ridge
It’s always a special treat when Otis gets to go and spend time with Marissa and Garrett. You can see how much they love him and his tail never stops wagging💕I’m so glad I have Marissa and I am very confident she will take great care of Otis and I love getting the pictures which tell me how happy he is. I highly recommend Marissa.

Christy has a very nice home and furnishings for operating a dog boarding and day care facility. Wrigley spent a long day with Christy and was in good spirits when we came to pick him up. Christy was responsive to our inquiries and was easy to work with. We will definitely work with her again.

Ada is so sweet and great with my rambunctious Shih Tzus. She was very knowledgeable about the breed and had no issues with health concerns. My older dog was a bit of a bully and she was so nice about his behavior. She's knowledgeable about dogs and their needs and dominance with male dogs. She's so patient. She had great naturopathic advice. We will definitely use her again!!

Larisa is so wonderful!! She is very knowledgeable and I trust her completely. My puppy gets excited when he realizes we're on our way to her house. He comes home exhausted and happy. I'm so appreciative and blessed to have found her on Rover! Thank you so much for being reliable, awesome, and available.
Barkus had the best time with Yarianna and Austin! It was my first time using Rover and leaving him with someone new, and they made the whole experience so easy. They were super sweet and responsive, sent me videos to ease my mind, and took such great care of my boy. Thank you again!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
