We had a great experience with her watching our dogs. She was very communicative, responsive, and easy to work with, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs were clearly comfortable and happy with her, and we appreciated the updates and pictures she shared. It was obvious they were well cared for and relaxed at home. We would absolutely book with her again.

About: I have over two years of hands-on experience providing loving, dependable pet care, including drop-in visits, in-home dog sitting, and dog walking. I’m lucky to have several amazing regular clients and truly enjoy building strong bonds with the pets I care for. One of my absolute favorites is Remy, a playful white Labrador I’ve been trusted to watch for over a year, he always keeps me smiling! I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have four of my own, so caring for pups is second nature to me. I’m passionate about making sure every dog feels safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or cuddles, I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. I am currently in school in the mornings and work in the afternoons however I am usually done by 6 giving me the whole night to hang out with your pup! I love being able to give dogs my full attention, whether that means extra playtime, long walks, or just keeping them company and making them feel comfortable and loved. Because I have four pups of my own at home, I do not offer pet sitting in my home. However, I am very comfortable caring for pets in your home, where they can stay in their familiar environment. I’m happy to keep your home tidy, follow your routines, and provide your pups with plenty of companionship, attention, and love while you’re away.

About: Growing up in Minnesota, I’ve had dogs my entire life and have also had a cat for most of my life, so caring for animals has always been a big part of who I am. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have house sat for several families and looked after their pets while they were away, providing dependable and loving care. I understand that every pet has their own unique personality, routine, and needs, and I strive to make them feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. My experience babysitting, working at a daycare, and coaching children has also made me responsible, patient, and attentive, qualities I bring to every pet I care for. My goal is to treat every pet like my own, giving owners peace of mind that their furry family members are in good hands. I recently graduated from college and am home in Minnesota for the summer, which gives me full-time availability and plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. My schedule is very open, allowing me to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and overnight stays throughout the week and on weekends. I’m committed to providing dependable, attentive care and can easily adapt to your pet’s routine and needs. In my home, pets will be welcomed into a safe, loving environment in a friendly neighborhood with a nearby park and plenty of walking trails for exercise and enrichment. I understand that every pet has their own routine and comfort level, and I strive to make them feel as comfortable and at home as possible. When caring for pets in their own homes, I treat both the animals and the home with the utmost respect. I will follow all care instructions closely, maintain your pet’s regular routine, and provide plenty of attention, playtime, and affection to ensure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I work remotely in marketing full time. We’re very grateful to have a nice home with a wonderful, large, fenced-in backyard that allows the dogs to go potty in and explore (bark!). My availability and hours are very flexible and the dogs are rarely left alone or kenneled, they are free to roam the house, I just close doors as necessary. I have never owned a dog of my own, I just grew up around dogs and cats. Mainly and most recently, it was a sisters two dogs our family spent the most time around: Gibbs (15 lb., 13 yr old, male Jack Russell Terrier & Beagle mix) and Zero (65 lb., 5 yr old, male Standard Poodle). I would basically Rover for her and her husband, which including giving the senior, anxiety-ridden dog meds (he didn’t enjoy, he would spit them up). We enjoyed being outdoors and evening walks around the neighborhood and having them a part of our family. They have then since moved to the West coast with their dogs. I work remotely and am blessed with the work-life balance it offers. I have an energetic elementary school-aged daughter. She's an empath and truly cares for all animals wellbeing! She's deeply concerned about any discomfort or distress. We have a dog-friendly orange cat named Buddy (4). He's fed first thing in the AM and enjoys chin scratches. He stays nearby me in my office or does his own thing. My daughter buses to and from school and I take a hour lunch at noon, then am done at 5 PM and we go about our evening routine. Dogs go out every few hours (sliding patio door) to the fenced in yard or when they signal me. Right in the morning and before bed. I try to get as much activity in for us as possible, especially on decent weather days. We utilize a nearby parks, dog park and walking trails in our community. Having the dogs here really motivate me to go for more walks, the dogs love them and I appreciate the eager walking company. I also live with my younger sister (23). She works full time 2 jobs as a CNA/retail, isn't home much but does help me care for the dogs, such as a short walk around the block. Our home is a 4 bed, 3 level split with a finished basement. It has a large secure, fully-fenced in yard and the property has 11 trees. Garage is attached. We all sleep in the upstairs bedrooms which is also where my office is. I have 2 litter boxes for my cat, one in garage that he prefers. The other is in the basement bathroom, where I can keep the door shut (Ive caught sisters dog eating litter covered turds). Our neighborhood is very safe and quiet. I have a reflective sash I wear out at night (this summer I was nearly ran over by an SUV when it was dark). The dogs usually sleep on the floor in my room and it's OK if they sleep on the bed, I am not concerned about fur. If the dog stinks, I can give them a bath either downstairs in the wash tub or upstairs in the bathtub. If they stay longer and start to stink, I will bathe them, because everyone feels better after a bath.

5 Stars is not enough for this incredible Rover dog/house sitter! Kristin followed our directions to a T, (and then some!) She took care of our dog and home as if they were her own. Our dog was so comfortable while we we gone and our house looked better than when we left. I will be disappointed if we can’t book her every time we need her services!

Emmalee was attentive, responsive, and took excellent care of our two dogs—one senior and one younger. She followed all of our instructions closely, including their medication and supplement schedules, which gave us great peace of mind. When we returned home after four days, both dogs were happy and clearly well cared for. I would highly recommend Emmalee to anyone considering a house sitter as a more comfortable alternative to traditional boarding.

FAQs for House Sitting - Jordan

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Jordan on Rover is $38.3 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 2,404 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Jordan. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Jordan walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Jordan maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Jordan choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jordan. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
