About: I bring years of hands-on experience in pet care, including time as a veterinary assistant and my ongoing work with the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter as both a rescuer and foster. I’ve cared for pets of all kinds — from dogs and cats to birds and exotics — and I’m comfortable with animals who need extra patience, whether it’s shy rescues, energetic puppies, or seniors needing gentle support. What sets me apart is my ability to combine professional training with compassionate care. I’m skilled at reading animal behavior, keeping pets safe, and making them feel at ease in new situations. Whether your pet needs medication, structured playtime, or just some extra cuddles, I treat every animal as if they were my own. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life — I’ve built my schedule around it. Between my own pets, fostering, and volunteering with the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter, I’m used to giving animals consistent attention, exercise, and enrichment every day. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday drop-ins, or evening feedings and cuddle time, I’m flexible and happy to adjust to your pet’s routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In your home, I follow your routines closely — from feeding schedules to favorite walking routes — so your pet feels secure and stress-free. I take the time to learn their cues and make sure they always have fresh water, exercise, and plenty of love. If caring for pets in my home, I create a safe, supervised environment where they get attention, enrichment, and space to relax. Because of my background as a vet assistant, foster, and rescue worker, I’m experienced in monitoring health, administering medications, and keeping pets calm in new situations. Above all, I value trust — I treat your pets and your home with the same respect and care I’d want for my own.
About: My family and I all love animals, so we applied to be pet's sitters at home care. We have a independent house with a yard, and there will always be someone at home 24 hours a day. The pets can move freely at home without too many restrictions. We have regularly clean to the house to ensure the clean and hygiene environment for all pets. I have over a year of experience in taking care of cats and over six years of experience in taking care of dogs. The longest time I took care of a cat was for two months. At the beginning, the cat would hide under the sofa for a week, but lately he became completely unrestrained and would lie on the bed together, play hide-and-seek with me, and explore every corner of the house. When the weather was good, the dogs could play freely in the yard. Welcome all cats and dogsto my home, we are the best friends of your pets! We can keep daily routine for all pet's. I am working part-time on weekends and I will come back at 4PM , but my family members are off on weekends. And my family members and I take care of all pets together. About: My family has a total of 6 dogs ( 5 shihtzus and a german shephard) and I have taken care of them all since the age of 18, along with my 10 year old pup of course! Nothing is too "extra" for this dog mom. I wipe paws and tushies after every walk if you'd like! Picky eaters? I'll stand next to your pup, encourgae him/her to eat with baby talk if that's the only way they eat! I currently work from home full time and I'm available most weekends for walks and overnight stays. I love the company and the push to go outside for a walk!! For overnight stays, I have a clean studio apartment and they are allowed on my couch if comfortable! There is more than enough space for a crate as well. My street is pretty quiet for those pups who get scared of loud noises. No other dogs are living with me at the moment so all my attention is theirs!
About: I've taken care of dogs of all sizes ever since I was 12. My own or those family members. Everything from dog-walking, dog-sitting, and more. Currently working a part-time, so Mondays through Wednesdays before 11:30am, but full availability Thursday through Sunday! Can be pretty flexible, especially if you let me know in advance. Will usually first greet/play with them for a bit, followed by taking them for a walk and then either play with them more or just keep them company should they not be up for it. Will also feed them if necessary, of course.
“Our cats are our kids and we hate them being lonely and uncomfortable when we are away. Our newest rescue also seems to not like men so much, so this time when we needed a sitter last minute we reached out to Ella and hit the jackpot!! Ella followed all our directions for feeding etc and kept our house clean while we were away...which isn't easy with 2 cats. Our cats, which can be very shy initially, fell in love with Ella and it put us at ease knowing how happy they were with her and how much they looked forward to seeing her. Highly recommend Ella to take care of your pets. She is very responsible, corresponds with you very well, and loves your pets like her own.”

“We knew Valerie from our days of volunteering at Pets4Luv, so we were comfortable and confident our furbabies would be in great care while we were away since we know how much she loves them all!. Valerie took great care of our Max and Lexi - she was prompt, she communicated with us about how they were doing and sent us pictures too! About: I have experience caring for pets through both professional work and personal ownership. I currently provide dog walking and pet care through Wag!, where I’ve worked with dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels, including senior dogs and more active breeds. I’ve also had the opportunity to build trust with repeat clients by providing dependable, compassionate care. As a proud cat mom to two cats, I understand the importance of patience, routine, and recognizing each pet’s unique personality. In addition, I’ve volunteered with a cat rescue, where I cared for cats with a wide range of temperaments, cleaned enclosures, socialized cats, and administered oral and topical medications when needed. I also spent a year working at a family-owned pet store that specialized in dogs, cats, and exotic animals, giving me hands-on experience with daily animal care and pet wellness. My goal is to provide every pet with a safe, loving, and stress-free experience while giving pet parents peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. Since I also drive, I’m able to reliably travel to visits, walks, and drop-ins. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets is something I genuinely look forward to each week. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I believe pets feel happiest in their own home, so I take the time to learn their schedule, feeding routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions before each visit. I always ensure doors, gates, and harnesses are secure, keep a close eye on your pet during walks and playtime, and treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’ll also provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
