About: I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters, and guinea pigs. I always made cakes and treats for my German Shepard's. Of course peanut butter and blueberries were his favorite. I live in a three bedroom home with a spacious yard on a quite side street. Your dog will be spoiled and have all the love they can handle when they are with me. I am currently working from home and have ample time for walks, play time, head scratches, and snuggles. I am available for long weekends as well. I will be able to crate your dog if needed. Your dog will have to be walked on a lead as I do not have a fenced in yard. There are no other pets or young children in the house.

I have 16 years of experience in the pet care industry and have had a passion for animals ever since I was a little girl. I have a daytime job working for a veterinarian and his wife on a farm in Flint Hill caring for their Scottish Deerhounds. His wife is a dog breeder so I have lots of experience working with dogs of all ages and abilities. I work about 20 minutes away from my house, so not only am I close by but my job position says a lot about my level of responsibility and experience. I work for about 6-7 hours (7:00AM-1:00PM/2:00PM) on the farm each day Monday through Friday and I am OFF on WEEKENDS. I have various references throughout Fauquier and surrounding Counties and I hold certifications in Pet Sitting, Pet First Aid, Animal training, Dog Grooming, The Art of Bathing and Brushing, Pet Nutrition, Pet Psychology and Veterinary Assistance. Note: Boarding is in my actual HOME not a kennel. If your dog has not been washed within the past 4 weeks then you will need to add a bath or grooming package to your stay. Dogs must be free of parasites like worms fleas and ticks. PLEASE NOTE: I am unable to accept aggressive dogs and dogs with anxiety issues that are not properly managed. If you do not know your dog well enough to know if they fall under these 2 categories I would highly recommend paying the small fee ($10) to arrange a meet n greet before your trip. This way you can drop off your dog at my place for a few hours and leave and see what he does. So we will know if it's a good fit for all parties involved. This is my home, not a kennel. I offer a calm, clean, safe, organized environment and I cannot accept dogs that create a disruption to the environment. It makes it an uncomfortable experience for the entire household. This set up is designed for normal trained animals with responsible pet parents that are looking for quiet 1 on 1 care with a real pet care professional. This is much different then throwing your dog in general population at a kennel in a sea of anxiety stricken barking dogs. PLEASE NOTE: On major Holidays and holiday weekends example: Christmas Eve,Christmas Day, Memorial Day weekend, labor day weekend, 4th of July etc......... I do charge a HOLIDAY RATE and can send you a custom quote if you are in need of holiday care. Holiday rate is typically double what I usually charge. I unfortunately am unable to accept last minute requests unless you are an existing client or would like to pay double. I recommend booking 1-2 weeks in advance if you would like to be a new client. That way there is time to do a meet and greet. *I do charge for meet and greets to be sure appointments are kept and inquiries are serious. * Any stay that is less than 4 days may require an increase in the daily rate. *Senior pets, puppies, and special needs pets start at $55 nightly depending on their needs. * I do offer multi dog discounts at my discretion. I factor in length of stay, size of dogs, time consumption, major holiday weeks, etc. If you have more than one dog feel free to inquire on what sort of discount I may be able to offer during your stay if available. *Drop off and pick up hours during the week I typically try to do between 2:00PM-6:00PM. Weekends my schedule varies. I unfortunately do not allow drop off and pick up into the late evening hours. I also typically DO NOT not offer drop off and pick up on major holidays. Dogs are let out at least 3 times daily. Puppies/Seniors are let out more often. (see puppy/senior rates) I work on a farm Monday through Friday from roughly 7:00am-1:00pm. I am home on the weekends. Your dog will have 1 on 1 care I do not usually board multiple dogs from multiple families. I offer a safe, calm and quiet environment that is much better than a kennel. I offer boarding for small animals and farm visits are also available for very basic care of horses, goats, chickens, ducks, mini pigs etc. I offer services to a variety of clients just as unique as their pets! I really make an effort to try to cater my services to the individual needs of each client and their pets to make it a comfortable, safe, happy experience for everyone! Overnight Care Visits/House Sitting- Does not mean you are buying me for the entire day to stay in your house 24/7. I don't have an option for buying me 24/7. The $100 fee covers me coming around 9PM and doing a before bedtime let out for your dogs of roughly 30 minutes. Hanging out with them until I actually retire for the evening and then me physically sleeping at the residence. And then doing a 30 minute morning routine with your dogs. Remember even though I am sleeping I'm not sleeping in my own home so I still have to have payment for all those hours because I am on your time. 9PM-6AM Then other visits and additional hours would be a separate drop in rate depending on how long you want each visit to be and how many you want. 30 minutes 60 minutes etc. (See rates under drop in visits) $30-30 minutes $60-60 minutes. Then goes to $25 hourly. I cannot do overnights at homes that have indoor cats due to allergies. A meet n greet is required for this service. This is for the safety and comfort of both parties. Rover computer generates the prices so if you have a multi dog household it automatically charges for each dog. Please talk with me so I can give you a discount if you have a household with several pets living together. I usually work on the farm from 7:00AM to 1PM. My work is about 20 minutes from the house so I'm not gone for very long. Guest pets are primarily kept in the kitchen when staying in my home. I usually keep them separate from my dogs with a tall dog gate. This leaves less rooms for mishaps such as dogs escaping through an open door. I do not offer guest dogs free roam of the house for safety reasons. Dogs are leash walked during their stay with me and must be decent on a leash. I can offer custom services for those seeking in home visits.
