About: Animals definitely perceive my positive attitude, and people do too. I genuinely love making cats and dogs happy. I often talk to any animal quite a bit because I believe a calm tone of voice is good for them psychologically. Additionally, I have taken care of multiple dogs and cats throughout the years, working in kennel facilities and through ownership, and I understand what is required to keep them happy and healthy. I have a flexible schedule, with much time to ensure your pets get the exercise he or she needs, and the attention they deserve. They won't be lonely while you're away! Additionally, I can administer any medications necessary and follow any special dietary restrictions. Your cats and dogs are in good hands with me! I center taking care of my own animals around my daily schedule. I do my best to keep their regular feeding times ,and for my dogs walking times at expected hours. It can be difficult, but it wouldn't be fair for them to not know what to expect. So ultimately, I adjust my required needs around their schedule in terms of errands, and etcetera. I care for pets in a way they are accustomed to; meaning regular schedules for feeding, walks and/or medication. If they are staying in my home, I would try to provide the most comfortable accommodations as possible while awaiting their people. But in a client's home, I would just coddle the pet, give them comfort, and again - keep them on the schedule they are accustomed to.

About: Thank you for letting us love on your four-legged friend while you are gone! We are a family of 4 and feel that a home isn't complete without a fur baby to love on and we would love to open our home to your dog while you are away. We have experience with dogs of all ages, medical needs, chewing habits, and anything else you can imagine! We have our own dog, Rey, and know the importance of finding a safe and loving place for him to stay when we need to travel without him. Rey is a 12 year old chimatian (a chihuahua/dalmatian mix) about 20 pounds in size and has done great with the various dogs that have come and gone from our home. I am a retired teacher now working from home so I am able to provide potty breaks and cuddles on demand. With Rey and two kids in our home (the youngest is 13), your little love is sure to get lots of love and attention, including walks around our peaceful neighborhood. We also have a large garden that is securely fenced in so even escape artists can’t escape. You can rest assured that your pup will be happy and well-cared for while in our home! I work from home so my schedule is fairly flexible. I do have kids of my own so occasionally I am off with them at an event or practice for a short time. I have a fully secured back garden and dogs are allowed on the furniture (if you like) while they stay with us. We do have stairs going up but I am able to block them if needed. While in your home I will be sure to open and close doors carefully and allow time for your pet to approach me.

Throughout my life, I raised 8 family dogs (Labrador Retriever, Huskies, Weimaraner, Papillons, Corgi, Boykin Spaniel), helped raise 3 grand-pups (Long-haired Dachshund, Goldendoodle, Labradoodle) and pet-sat for several extended-family dogs while their humans were away on vacation. 5 of the 8 family dogs I raised from puppyhood. 6 of the 8 family dogs I brought through basic dog training. During the initial months of my retirement, I would walk our family’s 9 year old Goldendoodle 1-2 miles each morning; however, he unexpectedly succumbed to cancer, recently. My attention is fully available for caring for your pet. At one time, my home had 4 dogs each different in size and personality, but they all got along great! My back yard is large and fenced in. This is the first time in over 30 years my home is without personal pets, although I continue to pet-sit grand-pups and other extended-family dogs.
