About: What sets me apart from other sitters and walker? Well, I’m a graduate in zoology and conservation biology which means I’m not only committed to caring for your dog but I’m committed to a broader global mission of protecting all wildlife. Though I’ve been deprived of having a dog my whole life, I’m a huge dog and animal lover in general and have taken care of many animals from lizards, to ferrets, to primates and of course dogs. I’ve done lots of dog sitting in college and care for friends' dogs, and it’s my plan to get a dog as soon as I settle down somewhere. I'm also big hiker and runner, so if you're dog needs any form of exercise I am more than willing to help! My full time job has now ended for the summer season so I am free 24/7 for the next two months and able to do pet care whenever and wherever. Whatever service your dog needs I can provide. Whether it's feeding, going for a walk or run, monitoring them outside, entertaining, I am very responsible and get the job done as long as I there are clear instructions and necessary equipment is provided (leash, toys, food, etc). Of the pets I've owned I've always had an official schedule with feeding and watering times I strictly abide by. Most importantly, depending on the animal, I ensure play time and entertainment to ensure the animal is happy and healthy. With dogs specifically, I love to go on plenty of walks, runs and hikes if the owner is ok with it!

About: Hi! My name is Kate and I am a physician assistant student at Pace University! I recently graduated from George Washington University and moved to Westchester to go back to school! I love dogs and am always the one to watch my family and Friends’ dogs! I am very good at caring for dogs of all sizes, and I am never intimidated by any breed. “Carrigan is a lovely young woman with a dog whisperer touch. Puppy Sammy immediately sat at her feet as we were preparing to leave her driveway for an overnight trip — his first stay outside of our home/with a non family member EVER. I was worried that he may not take well to the situation, but he adjusted quickly, and Carrigan took him on several long walks which exercised him and tired him out. I recommend Carrigan highly!”

About: I have grown up with animals my entire life. Starting with dogs, cats, pigs, cows, goats and fish. Caring for a pet builds patience, empathy, and unconditional love. In addition to caring for my personal pets I also help take care of dogs with our neighbors before and at work with one dog and two cats. I’m currently working part time after school hours Monday to Thursday so basically free during the day and can work all day Friday plus weekend if needed but it really depends on the time or day you need I will accommodate. I have a small backyard and extra room which we normally call sunroom for now with one of my dogs that can accompany your dog. I can easily crate your dog as well if needed. I have one in my house that my dog stopped using for a while.

The thing I like best ( and my dogs like too) is this is not a kennel- it’s a home that they become part of the family. My dogs never liked kennels and became very upset whenever I brought them to one. At Maria’s they jumped out of the car and were happy to be there - like visiting a relative home.
