“I found out the day before that I needed a sitter for my 8 month old, yet to be neutered, tank of a puppy, Apollo. Having previously left him with only family members, and only a handful of times, we were a little nervous. When we first got there, Apollo immediately seemed to feel comfortable, not even looking back at me. I received photos a few hours in, and when it was time to pick him up, Apollo was trying to climb into a lap (he’s 75 lbs), and was being praised as a love, cuddle bug! Overall positive, seamless experience and I would book again.”

“Catherine is wonderful and I can tell she truly cares about all the dogs in her care! Our Frenchton 8 month old puppy Opie went to Catherine recently for daycare and had a great time. I was nervous because Opie had never spent the day away from home before but Catherine made sure to share plenty of pictures and kept me involved throughout the day with how he was doing. I also appreciated that if she was unsure of something, she didn't hesitate to ask me. I know he had a great time not just from the pictures but also the fact that he slept for hours when we got home! It was the reviews that led me to reach out to Catherine and I can't say how relieved I am to know I now have someone I can trust to care for our pup whenever we need it.”

I know this because Laurie was kind enough to send me pictures throughout the day of Augie playing with the other dogs she was watching! Laurie is incredibly accommodating and very quick in responding to messages. When I went to her home to pick Augie up in the evening, he was ready to go with a special “doggy” bag of treats! Very sweet gesture! We will definitely be using her services again for doggy day care and also boarding needs! Thank you Laurie and Cliff for all the extra love and attention you gave to Augie!! About: I am a animal lover I grew up with lots of animals.I have my grooming diploma. I am CPR/pet first-aid certified and I have a diploma in animal physical therapy. I'm a home health aide my hours are very flexible, I would like to take care of your wonderful dog. I was born in Puerto Rico and I currently live in Long Island, I have a beautiful teenage daughter, and 11 years old son, all who loves animals just as much as I do. I have a adorable 9 year old English Cocker spaniel named Snowflake . Your dog will get all the love and attention that it would need. Looking forward to taking care of your wonderful pets. Your doggie will wake up to breakfast and playtime in the yard followed by a full day of love and fun! During nap time, your dog will be enjoying their private doggie suite. When we created our private doggie suite, I was thinking of all the things I would want our dogs to have if we were away. Our checklist of amenities include: - private couch/futon for lounging - clean fresh water bowls 24/7 - several breaks for play time outside - 24 hour recorded camera monitoring in - secured locked doors -AC and/or heat & fans with temp alerts - TV and ALEXA/echo music - fenced secure yard - easily cleaned floors **rates are for 24 hour periods. After 24 hours, it’s $10 an hour. - puppies and tiny dogs may stay in smaller secure area or my be bought in our home. -LOTS OF LOVE AND ATTENTION ❤️ When taking care of dogs, it's important to provide them with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Here are some fun activities I can do with the dogs I watch: Walking is a great way to provide dogs with exercise and mental stimulation. I Choose different routes and places to walk, such as a local park, beach, or hiking trail. Most dogs love playing fetch. I can take your dog or dogs with your permission to a fenced dog's park and play a game of fetch with a ball or frisbee. Dogs love to play with toys, such as squeaky toys or tug ropes.

About: New to Rover but not new to pet-sitting. I have had pets or been around animals my entire life (including puppies, dogs, kittens, cats, fish, rabbits, and birds) and they have always been considered a part of the family. I love every pet as if they’re my own- prepare for the custody battle 😅. lol jk. In all seriousness, your pets comfort is important to me and I am confident they will feel right at home. I have experience with puppies and all the beautiful challenges that come with that stage, as well as senior care. I have also had experience with adopting my own dog with reactive tendencies which has made me hyper aware of the importance of dogs social cues both with animals and people, and reading their body language/boundaries. Safety for all parties involved is always my top priority. I work from home so my schedule is pretty flexible. Walks availability: Anytime Sun-Tues, (Wed-Sat hours fluctuate, will need to discuss exact needs.) Doggy daycare availability: Anytime Sun-Sat (if pick-up/drop-off needed will need to discuss availability in more depth.) Boarding availability: Anytime Sun-Sat (if pick-up/drop-off needed will need to discuss availability in more depth.) I currently have boarding slots set up to 4 at a time but feel free to contact me regarding specific availability needs. For example, does your pet require an environment without other animals? Do you have 2 dogs but 3 cats? Based on your pets specific needs, we can discuss alternate solutions. I do require meet & greets for any new clients to ensure it’s a good fit and safety requirements are met for all. We can discuss what works best for your pet. As long as animal is house broken and properly trained, I am flexible with crate/uncrated visits/boarding. My apartment complex is dog friendly but unfenced so would require on leash walks. Property also includes fenced in dog area, or I am open to dog park runs if that is your preference. If scheduling crated boarding, will need to provide own crate.

About: I love all dogs! They are all so funny, each with their own fun personalities. I love to go for walks with the dogs, sometimes 2 at a time! When your pup is in my care my focus is on keeping them safe and happy! I am retired from working so I like to say that I am a stay at home dog Mom! When I am watching your dog, there is nothing more important to me than your fur baby’s safety and happiness. Since I am home full time I am available for your pup 24/7! I do occasionally leave the house but usually not longer than an hour or two. I have a large fenced in yard and a sweet, fun 2 year old Lab mix who loves to play with dogs of all ages and sizes. I have a 5 month old grand puppy and Reba loves playing with her!

About: My husband and I grew up with dogs and have loved and cared for many over the years including our first doggy child, Molly. She has since crossed the rainbow bridge and although we’re not quite ready yet for a new dog, we’re happy to share our built up puppy love to provide a safe and loving environment while you’re away. At our home, all dogs become part of our family and I will reinforce any behaviors you maintain in your own home. But if your pet is used to couch cuddles they’ll get the same thing here! They’ll have all of the love and comforts of home that cannot be matched by any traditional boarding place, while receiving personal attention as they’re in space where they’ll be the only dog. It’s a change for your dog to go from one home to a new one. However, I find that having a home with no personal pets and no other boarders helps to ease the transition and get them acclimated quickly. I work from home full time so your pet would have nearly 24/7 care. It makes me so happy to be able to spend my workday with a fuzzy friend! You’d be aware of all times where I wouldn’t be home but this typically does not exceed 2 hours. When the weather is nice, the family and I try to be out as much as possible and will always bring your dog along for the fun! I enjoy getting out for walks several times a day to stretch out my legs after extensive periods behind a desk. If your dog is up for it, then I’m happy to get to bring them on my walks! I have a large, fenced yard with a designated “potty” area. There are no other pets in the home so even the most anti social of pups are welcomed here. Since I work from home, I’m able to accommodate almost any feeding, medication or bathroom schedule and provide lots of cuddles! I care about the safety and wellness of your pet above all else and have been certified in pet CPR and first aid. If your dog will be joining us in the car, I have a harness for their safety while traveling.

About: I absolutely love dogs! My family dog passed away when she was still a puppy, a beautiful husky named Belle. In her honor I make sure to give all the love and protection to dogs that little me couldn’t provide. I promise you, your fur babies will be so loved, cared for and protected while they are with me! I am an elementary school lunch aide during the school year, so I am only out at least three hours a weekday. I don’t have this job during the summer so my schedule is more flexible! I have a yard perfect for your fur baby to run around in, and the elementary school I work at is right down the street so we can get some great walks in and play on the field (only if you’re okay with it of course)! I will need a list of what you’d prefer for your fur baby and for you to bring their essentials for food, play, and sleep. I want to disrupt their schedule as little as possible so just tell me what I need to do and your wish is my command! The more details the better!

About: My family love pets specially my little 9 years old, we are looking to help pet parents whenever they need support with their loved pet. We understand pets are important family members and that is exactly why I take this responsibility seriously, with me you can rest assure your pet will be under good care! As of the moment we count with full availability. I say we because I can take care of your pet or my mother who lives with me. I live in a condo , the building is pet friendly and has a huge park across the street where I can take your pet for their needs and to unwind with a nice walk.

Islandia dog parents share their Rover experiences
This was my first time ever using rover/ a dog sitter. They updated us periodically with pictures and videos, communication was great which made this experience stress free! Thanks for taken Milo in he was attached to Nicole , he was sad on the car ride home … will definitely rebook and highly recommend Nicole & Chris as great dog sitter parents!

My dog Dublin had a wonderful day at Doggy Day Care with Kyla! Kyla was warm, and welcoming, and Dublin took to her immediately! Her home is perfectly set up to create a family like environment, making Dublin feel right at home. Kyla has a beautiful grassy backyard where Dublin ran, and ran to his heart’s content, all the while being supervised by Kyla. Kyla sent me pictures and videos through the course of his stay, and knowing he was in such good hands, helped me enjoy my day! Dublin was definitely pooped when he came home, and fell asleep with a smile on his little face! I will definitely be using Kyla again! She was awesome!

Mary was responsive, kind, and attentive. Our little Lucky is very loved and we are particular about who we leave him with. It was obvious he felt comfortable with Mary as he slept most of the time (we needed a sitter for several hours while we attended a wedding). Mary sent us updates with pictures and was very welcoming. We would definitely ask her to watch Lucky again if we’re ever in this area.

I highly recommend Christine! From the moment you meet her, it’s clear how much she cares about providing the best service possible. She went the extra mile to learn about my dog and cater to her needs, which made us feel extra special. I will definitely book again!
