He took the time to introduce Bleau to his dog slowly and properly, which made us feel really comfortable right away. We even accidentally left her bowls behind, and when we went back to pick them up, Bleau was so excited to see him again — which says everything about how well she was treated. “We have used John for Doggy Daycare and Dog Boarding and we could not be happier with his care for our Penny. When we adopted her she was so shy and we've been working to bring her out of her shell so we were worried when we first left her but John was so good at making us feel comfortable and allowing Penny the space to get comfortable with him. We got updated pictures, he got her to eat right on the spot (which has been a struggle) and he even had Penny out in the yard and starting to play with his dog, LaVerne. Whenever we pull up in front of John's house now, Penny's tail starts to wag and she gets so excited to see him! About: I've always had a special connection with dogs. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. On top of that, I've volunteered at an animal shelter, cleaning dog and cat rooms and socializing with the animals. I currently can't have a dog of my own because I fly in and out for work. That's why I'm doing this part-time — it's never an assembly line for me. Each dog gets my full, individual attention, and I truly make friends with every one of them. I'm a sound designer and composer working on contract-based stage productions, which gives me a flexible schedule. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine — I walk dogs at least three times a day, feed them as many times as requested, and make sure they get plenty of playtime outside of my work hours. Since I'm not working a rigid 9-to-5, I can easily adjust my day around each dog's needs, whether that means extra cuddles, a longer walk, or a spontaneous trip to the dog park. Plus, because I fly in and out for work and can't have my own dog right now, caring for other people's dogs is something I genuinely look forward to and prioritize every single day. I live in a first-floor condo apartment in a neighborhood with lots of green areas — perfect for dogs who love quick potty breaks and longer sniffing walks. About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my family for 10 years and helped my grandmother care for her three litters of puppies. I’m patient, caring, and love being around dogs. Since I enjoy staying active, I’m also a great fit for pets that need plenty of walks and exercise. I currently work part time and in grad school, so I have flexibility to accommodate most schedules to give your dog the care and attention it needs. I can walk your dog, check in on them, or stay overnight in your home, making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away.

I am more than able to provide walks and exercise on a large scale from calm scenic walks to high energy runs.
About: Animal lover since the day I was born! I have a 5 year old cat named Lilly who is extremely friendly with other pets so I can bring pets to my house. I worked at New York’s Best Pets on Dyckman 200 Street before it burned down unfortunately and there I took care of feeding, grooming and playing with the pets as well as customer service. I’ve taken care of many dogs in the past, from walking to dog sitting. I have given prescribed medicine to dogs when they needed it and have trimmed their hair when asked to, as well as given them a full shower and a good groom. I live next to Raynor Beach Country Park and I love going out for walks and runs so you know your dogs will always have a good time and stay fit! I’ve been taking care of pets most of my life and I want to give pets the best experience they’ve ever had. I’m athletic so I have plenty of energy to burn. “We had a good experience with Alejandro and I can’t thank him enough. He accepted our dog, Bleau very last minute after another sitter no-showed, which already meant so much to us. He took the time to introduce Bleau to his dog slowly and properly, which made us feel really comfortable right away. We even accidentally left her bowls behind, and when we went back to pick them up, Bleau was so excited to see him again — which says everything about how well she was treated. “We have used John for Doggy Daycare and Dog Boarding and we could not be happier with his care for our Penny. When we adopted her she was so shy and we've been working to bring her out of her shell so we were worried when we first left her but John was so good at making us feel comfortable and allowing Penny the space to get comfortable with him. We got updated pictures, he got her to eat right on the spot (which has been a struggle) and he even had Penny out in the yard and starting to play with his dog, LaVerne. Whenever we pull up in front of John's house now, Penny's tail starts to wag and she gets so excited to see him! It's so comforting to know you are leaving your dog with someone who really cares and takes care of your animals. We are so lucky that we met John and we know Penny will have many more adventures with him! We can't recommend him enough. “Couldn't be more thrilled ...our 1 year old Shih Tzu who is still learning and is an overactive puppy can be a bit much to watch all day; so we were very concerned about leaving her with strangers overnight. However Theresa was fantastic not only did she allow us to bring all Peanut's stuff (pack and play crib/playpen and tons of toys, pillow, blanket, doggy dishes etc.) but she understood the fact that because this was all new to our young dog she especially took pains to know what Peanut's needs were. At first Peanut did not even want to enter the home and shied away from Theresa but Theresa took the time to win over Peanut and by the time we left her she was playing with her toys. Theresa sent us pictures of Peanut playing and having fun. We were especially happy knowing Theresa only takes one dog at a time in her home because our dog is small and young and doesn't know how to socialize with other pets (our vet wouldn't allow this until all her shots were completed) and Peanut is from a home with only adults and no small children we worried that other sitters who take in more than one dog or had their own pet might become a problem. However Theresa's policy of only one dog at a time who also doesn't have her own pet, and doesn't have numerous children which might be a concern for pets unused to active kids. Theresa's dog sitting arrangement was an ideal win win for us and Peanut. She will become our dogs sitter from now on as Peanut loved her and her family and now we can relax whenever we need to go out of town or just need a sitter for a day. Thank you Theresa and family you were the best!”

Our dog can get anxious when he's away from home, but he was calm, comfortable, and clearly well cared for throughout his stay.
