About: I’d love the opportunity to take care of your pet! I love dogs and cats, and have one cat of my own. :) I currently care for family and friends pets when they are out of town, but would love to add a few more pets to my schedule for boarding/drop-ins or walks. I am responsible & reliable and will treat your pet with much love and care! My current availability is evenings after work and weekends. During the summer months (mid June, July, August) my availability is open and I can provide pet care any time. I will follow all directions and give your pets the same love and care I give my sweet babies at home! I am reliable and respectful of others home & pets. You can count on me to take excellent care of your pets!

About: Hello! I've been caring for family members' and friends' cats and dogs for years, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. I know every pet has their own personality, routine, and preferences, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one unique. I can't board pets in my home because my cats are very sensitive to other animals, but I'm happy to provide drop in visits, walks, and companionship in your pet's home where they're most comfortable. I'm comfortable administering medication if needed, and I'll always communicate with you throughout your booking by sending updates and photos. My goal is to help your pet feel safe and cared for while giving you peace of mind while you're away. I'm also happy to do a meet and greet beforehand so everyone (pets included) can get comfortable. I work from home full time, which gives me a flexible schedule for drop in visits and walks throughout the week. I have a standing meeting every weekday at 10:00 a.m., and any additional meetings are usually scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., but I'm often able to plan visits around them. If your pet needs care at a specific time, just let me know. I'll always be upfront about my availability and do my best to accommodate your schedule. All of my services take place in your pet's home, where they can stay in a familiar and comfortable environment. I'll follow your instructions closely and stick to your pet's normal routine, whether that includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box or potty breaks, medication, or simply keeping them company. I'm comfortable caring for pets of all sizes, breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. I'll treat your home with the same respect I would my own, and if I notice anything out of the ordinary, I'll let you know right away. You'll also receive regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: I have been an animal lover my entire life and had dogs in my own home for 10+ years. I have had experience ranging from raising and training puppies to caring for senior dogs with special needs such as blindness and diabetes. I work remotely from my home and will make sure your pet has all the attention that they need. While I have your pet I will ensure they are only left alone briefly for necessary errands. I have a fenced backyard and one well mannered if energetic pup. Your dog will receive as much love and care as my own. From snuggles on the couch to long walks around the neighborhood and games of fetch in the back yard.
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give Rhonda more than 5 stars, I would! She was an absolutely incredible caregiver for my cat, Luna. This was my first time leaving Luna, and Rhonda provided so much peace of mind with her detailed updates and wonderful photos. She went above and beyond just the basics—she took the time to earn Luna's trust, played with her energetically, and noted all the little details about her personality. You can truly tell she has a genuine love for animals. My sometimes-standoffish kitty even warmed up to her by the end of the visits! Rhonda is reliable, caring, and an excellent communicator. I am so grateful to have found her and will absolutely be booking her again in the future. Don't hesitate to book with Rhonda—your pet will be in the best possible hands!”

Really helped me out short notice which is so appreciated, and even sent me photos of my dog during the drop in visit. She responded quick and was very professional and kind. About: I've had the pleasure of growing up in a dog household ever since I was little. I have worked with a number of various breeds but have had the opportunity to raise a German Shepherd as well as my current Australian Shepherd and Blue heeler, who both have plenty of energy. I’ve been blessed with finding a work from home job as an RN and am free most days to help your pup. I took a little break from Rover but am back now that I have a more flexible schedule. Looking to meet your pups and create a consistent schedule ! I have a decent sized fenced backyard that will give your doggo plenty of space to run around with my Australian shepherd dog. I also have space for a crate if they are crate trained.
About: My daughter visits from Virginia Beach 3-4 times a year and stays up to 2 weeks with 4 dogs from 40-75 lbs all spayed or neutered I’m recently retired and am home most of the time only driving for errands and appointments. I live alone and would love the company of a dog. My last dog passed away 4 years ago I have a fenced in yard and can easily crate a dog if needed. I have a large backyard and would be willing and able to walk.
“Sheila was great with my two cats while I was away for a week! Lots of updates & photos, everything was kept super clean & she even dealt with some upset stomach situations. She socialized and played with my most social cat & took time to bond with my skittish who actually came out for pets at one point - which is a rarity. I came home to two happy cats! I would 100% recommend her & will book again in the future!”

About: Since I was young I have always cared for not only my own personal pets but my family and friends pets whether they were dogs, cats, birds, fish, you name it. This include walking, feeding, bathing, and loving. Currently I have experience in a Vet clinic as a Veterinary Assistant so handling any type of medication or medical need is no stranger to me. I have also worked with a kitten and cat foundation that has given me experience in raising a litter of kittens and getting the most fulfilling job of bottle feeding new born kittens. I have also volunteered at a doggy spa day where I bathed greyhounds and made sure every pet looked their best. I am also attending school to get my Bachelors of Science in Animal Science along with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine right after and I currently do research on horses at Michigan State University and have enjoyed that experience of working with these big beautiful animals. So learning and knowing what responsibilities it takes to care for horse as well working in a Vet clinic I value giving any pet the time, dedication, and love they deserve. Animals are my passion, I am consistently around animals whether they are small or large. As a student, I plan to fit my pet care schedule around any classes or school based events along with making sure your pet is well taken care of. So this meaning for dog walking and check-ins I will do morning and evening walks and check-ins to makesure your pet gets a good stroll on their favorite path or much needed time of love and play to burn off some energy. For dog sitting I will be their in the morning when your fur baby wakes up and wants their morning breakfast, sometimes during the day enjoying quiet time as I do homework or spend time playing with their favorite toy, and then tuck them into bed when they dream about their favorite people in the world. I will ensure to communicate with you on what my schedule looks like and ensure the best possible service for you and your animal. I value giving the best quality service and building a trusting relationship with you and your fur baby. Once I first step in your home I will treat you and your pet as family ensuring care and respect. This will be done by consistent communication with you as I am with your pet, whether its cute pics, letting you know when I have arrived and left for walks, and giving you any important information that may come up. I will also ensure that you and your animal feel safe and comfortable whether its in your home or out on a nature walk. Also, I will ensure that when I leave your home it will look better than new and your animal is the happiest in the world.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
