“Chelsea was a perfect fit to check in on my two cats while I was out of town! She took great care of them and the Rover cards are a nice addition to the experience. I will definitely be asking her to come back in the future.”

About: While this is my first time as a sitter/walker on an app like this I am very experienced with animals including dogs and cats. I am experienced with dog walking and caring for pet’s basic needs. I currently have a very open schedule so I will be able to visit or walk your pets with little scheduling conflicts. I will be attending community college in the fall starting in late August but I will update my schedule when it does change. I take safety for pets extremely seriously. Doors are a high alert area because I know how sneaky some pets can be once a door is opened. I have my own experience with stopping my own dogs and even cats from getting out either by body blocking the door or picking the cats up and moving them to a safe place. While on walks I like to keep my dogs at my side and always stay clear of other dogs or animals.
“My dogs love her, including my chihuahua who takes a long time to warm up to new people! Such a huge help having her let my little guys out in the middle of the day. Highly recommended! 👍🏽”
About: For over 25 years, our home has never been without a dog. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our beloved boy, Blue, this past year, and we deeply miss the daily joy and warmth a pet brings to a household. Right now, our family is in a transition period as our daughter heads off to college to play softball. Before we commit to a new pet of our own, we want to see how her game and travel schedule unfolds so we can ensure we have the proper time and dedication a permanent dog deserves. Caring for your pet gives us the wonderful opportunity to welcome that familiar canine joy back into our lives, while giving your dog a warm, experienced, and incredibly attentive "home away from home" where they will be treated like family. Since I work from home full-time, your pup will have constant companionship throughout the day. I am easily able to step away for regular, timely bathroom breaks, and I love using my work breaks to check in on them, stretch our legs, and truly enjoy their company. We have a fully fenced-in backyard, but please note that one portion of the fence in the back is a bit lower. Because of this, we want to ensure your pup isn't an active "fence-jumper." However, safety is my top priority! My work-from-home setup gives me full visibility of the entire backyard while I work. If there is ever any concern, I am more than happy to accompany your dog outside every time they need to do their business. Daily Routine & Preferences Once the workday wraps up, it’s all about the dogs—longer neighborhood walks and dedicated playtime are always on the horizon! I am incredibly comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic young pups to gentle seniors, provided they are fully house-trained.
“Great communication! She was quick to respond to any message or question we had. Very professional and our dog had no issue warming up to her. Would highly recommend! Plan to use her again in the future.”

About: I’ve been providing drop in visits and walks on Rover for the past year and have built great relationships with returning clients. I treat every dog as if they were my own and understand how important trust is when caring for someone else’s pet. I genuinely enjoy building relationships with both pets and their owners. I offer drop in visits and walks so your dog can stay relaxed in their own home. Whether they need a potty break, meals, medication, playtime, or companionship, I follow your instructions carefully to keep their routine calm and stress free. Your home and pet will always be treated with respect and care. I’m based in Allen Park and serve the surrounding Downriver communities. Because I work remotely, I have flexible availability for mornings, midday visits, afternoons after 3 PM, and weekends. My 14 year old Labrador requires daily medication, so I’m comfortable with senior care and mobility support. I also previously raised a Lab with IBS and managed a strict diet and close monitoring of his needs. I work remotely and structure my day intentionally so each visit receives my full attention. I plan my schedule carefully to ensure punctuality and reliability for morning, midday, afternoon, and weekend visits. I always schedule a meet and greet before starting services to make sure we are a great fit and that your dog feels comfortable with me. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, medication, walking routines, and home access. I double check doors, gates, and leashes for safety and treat your home with the same respect I would expect in mine. Clear communication and reliability are very important to me.
“Isabelle has helped us out with occasional drop-in visits for our small dog and she is great! Our pup has been well-cared for and Isabelle was even available on relatively short notice. She is very communicative and we will definitely hire her again!”

“Yvonne was amazing. My cat Ares absolutely loved her. Even when he first met her, he ran up to her and rubbed on her!! Lol She sent me photos daily of them playing together, which I totally loved. She feed him and changed his little box while I away. She even switched up his food because he dislikes eating the same food everyday. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars. She deserves 100 stars!! I will definitely book her again!!”
“Makayla has been a lifesaver. She has been great with all my fur babies. Even my most fearful cat has warmed up to her. She also has great communication. I’ve already utilized her services multiple times and will continue to.”

About: I have taken care of my own yorkies for 17 years and also had friends ask me to babysit their babies and of course my babies relied on me for fresh water, meals, grooming, nail cutting and much more. Outside-never alone, walks, play and especially brushing and petting on my lap. Lots of love I'm retired and home all day, with exceptions of Doc visits. When I am not home Hope stays at the house with any babies that I have in the home. I will be taking the babies out and be with them the entire time they are outside. I will play with them and have them sit in my lap if they choose to. Or anything else the owner would suggest. The babies are allowed on my furniture and to sleep in bed with me if they choose to.
About: Most dogs aren't badly behaved. They're stressed, confused, or never taught how to communicate what they need. I spent a year training in person under Tess Erngren, founder of GoodDog Academy in Oslo and one of Scandinavia's most established voices in reward-based, fear-free dog behavior work, alongside my own husky, learning hands-on. That year, and everything my own dog has taught me since, still shapes how I work today. I have pet first aid knowledge from that training as well as general first aid experience. Eight years ago, my first husky changed how I see training completely. A puppy class on fear-free, positive reinforcement methods showed me that most of what I thought I knew about training was actually about control, not trust. Force-free doesn't mean soft. It means real structure, built through a dog's own agency instead of fear and appeasement. I don't use an aversive of any kind: no e-collars, no prong or choke collars, no corrections meant to intimidate. Letting a dog choose what to sniff, where to go, and when to disengage builds confidence, not just compliance. That philosophy is the same whether I'm walking a husky who needs to run their nose for an hour, or sitting with a bichon who just wants a calm lap and a familiar routine. A session with me might look like decompression walks, nose work, or simply unstructured time to explore, whatever that particular dog needs that day. I offer walks, in-home drop-in visits, house sitting, and 1:1 training, along with basic husbandry support like nail trims and brushing. My training sessions aren't about teaching your dog to perform on command. I teach you the tools and principles: communication, timing, and how to read what your dog is actually telling you, so you can train whatever you want, on your own terms. My schedule is fully flexible, mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends. I'm happy to work around whatever fits your dog's routine best, including last-minute requests when possible. All sessions take place at your home, so your dog stays in a familiar environment. I limit the use of crates as much as possible, dogs do best with freedom and choice, but if your dog is already crate-trained and calm in one, a short session is fine. I offer meet and greets whenever that's helpful. When meeting a new dog, I let them come to me rather than approaching directly, stay relaxed and at their level, and pay close attention to their body language so the introduction happens at their pace, not mine.

About: I’ve been providing dependable, loving pet care for 6+ years, and what sets me apart is the level of comfort, patience, and genuine attention I give every pet I watch. I focus on creating a calm, safe environment where pets feel relaxed and cared for while their owners are away not just “watched.” I have experience caring for pets of all personalities and energy levels, including playful puppies, anxious pets, and senior dogs who need a gentler pace and extra patience. I’m attentive to routines, feeding schedules, medications, potty breaks, exercise, and making sure every pet receives plenty of affection and companionship. I also believe communication is important, so I provide regular updates and photos to help owners feel reassured while they’re away. My goal is always to treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. 🐾 I do work a full-time 9–5 job during the week, but pet care still fits very naturally into my routine and schedule. I make it a priority to return home directly after work to spend time with the pets in my care, and I typically only leave for necessities like work or grabbing food. I’m very routine oriented and make sure pets receive consistent attention, potty breaks, feeding, exercise, affection, and companionship throughout the day and evening. On weekends and outside of work hours, I’m home much more often and able to dedicate even more time to them. My goal is always to make pets feel comfortable, cared for, and relaxed while their owners are away. 🐾 I provide care exclusively in my client’s home because I believe pets are often the most comfortable in a familiar environment with their normal routine. Keeping pets in their own space helps reduce stress and allows them to feel safe, relaxed, and secure while their owners are away. I always take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions to ensure they receive the best care possible. Safety and trust are extremely important to me, so I treat every client’s home with respect and care while also making sure their pets receive plenty of attention, affection, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship throughout my stay. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel reassured knowing their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for. 🐾
About: I've been a dog mom to a spoiled little guy for 9 years. My dog has medical issues so I have plenty of experience administering medication. I also have 3 years of cat sitting experience, including litter box cleaning, feeding, and administering medication. I also love bugs! On the off chance you have any you need help with, I'd be honored. I love animals and I'm excited to meet yours! I have a very open schedule and I'm very flexible. The biggest thing I need to work around is medical appointments, but once I have you on schedule I can book them around your visit! Your pets safety is just as important as the safety of my own pet. I'll make sure any needs they have are met, especially for disabled pets!
“Cheyenne is outstanding. She went above and beyond for my 3 cats and I never had to worry if they were being taken care of when I was gone for a week. 10/10 would recommend.”

Sherice is a very good sitter, I highly recommend!! She communicates very well with me about how my dogs are doing while she's there. Sherice let's me know if they used the bathroom, played, also if they are acting anxious, excited, or cuddley lol. Sherice is also very prompt, flexible with her & my schedule, & she does very well with my skiddish rescue pitbull. I will be having her drop in on my doggys again!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
