About: I grew up with multiple dogs as a child and am surrounded by friends with dogs! I travel for work so unfortunately I cannot take care of a dog at home. I have a lot of patience so I can handle the chaos of puppies! I work from home so it's easy to pop out for a walk throughout the day! I work full time M-F and travel a handful of times throughout the year! I work flexibly so as long as I do not have a scheduled meeting I can step out throughout the day for a check-in or walk. I have one cat at home and he is treated like he's the king of the house! He has a cat tree to watch the neighborhood wildlife through the window and get's treats for being brave after getting his daily medicine.
“Kelly has been so wonderful and understanding! Our girl can take time to warm up but Kelly takes the time and respects her boundaries! It makes me so happy to see how my baby girl has warmed up to her! She has been reliable and so helpful! I can’t recommend her enough”

About: I've been a dog mom to a spoiled little guy for 9 years. My dog has medical issues so I have plenty of experience administering medication. I also have 3 years of cat sitting experience, including litter box cleaning, feeding, and administering medication. I also love bugs! On the off chance you have any you need help with, I'd be honored. I love animals and I'm excited to meet yours! I have a very open schedule and I'm very flexible. The biggest thing I need to work around is medical appointments, but once I have you on schedule I can book them around your visit! Your pets safety is just as important as the safety of my own pet. I'll make sure any needs they have are met, especially for disabled pets!
“I'm so happy I found Kathy to help with my dogs, one of whom has special feeding needs. Kathy shows up on time, is very accommodating with schedule changes (even last-minute) and takes excellent care of my two dogs. I was hesitant to use Rover but I'm so glad I gave it a try.”
“Jessica was very accommodating when our times changed. She took great care with our two dogs and the both loved her. We will definitely use her services again and I would highly recommend her.”

“My dogs love her, including my chihuahua who takes a long time to warm up to new people! Such a huge help having her let my little guys out in the middle of the day. Highly recommended! 👍🏽”
About: I've had dogs all my life. We just just put our dog down after 12 years from being raised as a puppy. Our family isn't ready for a new dog yet, but we love the company! As a teacher, my summer is dedicated to being home and active! I am looking forward to a summer filled with backyard play and plenty of attention for our guest pups. Since we’ll be home the vast majority of the time, your dog will have constant companionship. While we might head out for the occasional short day trip or camp drop-off, our schedule is primarily centered around being home, making us very flexible for drop-offs, pick-ups, and mid-day belly rubs! Your pup’s safety is our top priority! We have a fully fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore under constant supervision. Our home is a family environment with three kids who are taught to be gentle and respectful with animals, so we do require that any guest dogs be kid-friendly. Inside, we have stairs, so please let us know if your pup has any mobility issues or needs assistance. We are also happy to crate your dog for meals or naps if that is what they are used to at home. Since we currently have no other pets, your dog will receive 100% of our attention and love during their stay

“Megan was great with my boy and contacted me as soon as she had a concern about his health. Thankfully all ended up well! She was also well above accommodating and assisted me with my non understanding of rover lol. Thank you Megan!”

“Yvonne was amazing. My cat Ares absolutely loved her. Even when he first met her, he ran up to her and rubbed on her!! Lol She sent me photos daily of them playing together, which I totally loved. She feed him and changed his little box while I away. She even switched up his food because he dislikes eating the same food everyday. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars. She deserves 100 stars!! I will definitely book her again!!”
About: I have taken care of my own yorkies for 17 years and also had friends ask me to babysit their babies and of course my babies relied on me for fresh water, meals, grooming, nail cutting and much more. Outside-never alone, walks, play and especially brushing and petting on my lap. Lots of love I'm retired and home all day, with exceptions of Doc visits. When I am not home Hope stays at the house with any babies that I have in the home. I will be taking the babies out and be with them the entire time they are outside. I will play with them and have them sit in my lap if they choose to. Or anything else the owner would suggest. The babies are allowed on my furniture and to sleep in bed with me if they choose to.

About: No such thing as a dog too big! Growing up with several dogs in my family home, I truly view them as a part of our families. With a belief in positive reinforcement and redirection, your dog will have a fun, stress-free time; making our home their home for the duration of their stay. Having gone through the puppy stage several times, including within the past year, I can assure you our patience is tried and tested, and that I carry an attitude in which it is imperative to maintain respect for the individual temperament of each dog. Some breeds I have experience with include: pitbulls, labs, dobermans, cane corsos, boxers, and mastiffs. I have trained my dogs in basic obedience, all with varying degrees of energy level, stubbornness, and intelligence 🙃. While size does not matter, all dogs who enter our home must be child and dog friendly. **To ensure the safety and comfort of everyone involved, meet and greets are mandatory without exception before boarding or daycare. This can take place at a dog-friendly park, or our backyard if you would like to see our home.** *Smoke and alcohol free home *Large fenced backyard *Almost always home I am a full time stay at home mom to a 3.5 year old as well as 1 year old male (neutered) dog. We do not leave him home alone for more than three hours, so your dog would have human companionship and access to the outdoors at almost all times! Our dog is no longer using one, so we have a large crate that your dog is welcome to use if that is what they are accustomed to or have any destructive tendencies when left alone. Our dog gets lot's of love and exercise. We make sure he practices good manners with daily basic training and keep him happy with enrichment activities, walks, and plenty of scratches. We never leave him outside unattended and he is ALWAYS leashed if outside of the backyard fence. I have had three dogs as an adult, and none have ever escaped.
“Arianna demonstrated an excellent attention to detail in care of the cats. She went above and beyond outlined duties. Always kept to schedule. She is an excellent cat sitter and I look forward to using her services again. 5 stars!”

About: Open home with no children or other animals. All sizes of cats and dogs welcome! I hope your baby likes fun and affection because this is the place for it! I've had pets most of my life, and enjoy having happy wagging tails and purrs of contentment nearby. Pet families welcome too! Pet sitting fits seamlessly into my weekly routine, providing a meaningful way to blend responsibility with care. Each visit is thoughtfully scheduled to ensure consistency, creating a sense of comfort and safety for the pets. I prioritize secure environments, always double-checking doors, gates, and feeding instructions to protect their wellbeing. My growing knowledge of animal behavior helps me recognize what each pet needs, whether it’s a calming walk, playtime, or quiet companionship. This attentiveness brings peace of mind to pet owners and happiness to the animals, making pet sitting not just a task, but a fulfilling and trusted part of my week. When caring for a pet in someone else’s home, I prioritize trust and respect in every action I take. I understand that I’m being welcomed into a personal space, and I treat it with the same care and consideration I would expect in return. I follow all instructions closely, from feeding schedules to house rules, to ensure the pet remains comfortable and routines are maintained. I respect the home by keeping it clean and secure, and I always communicate openly with the owners, providing updates for peace of mind. Above all, I build trust by being reliable, thoughtful, and fully focused on the wellbeing of both the pet and the home.
About: Hello there! My name is Ashley, and I am a local occupational therapist. I don’t remember a time where I didn’t have a dog in my home growing up, so I have plenty of experience caring for dogs, and I’ve had plenty of cats as roommates over the years. Some facts about me: I enjoy spending as much time as possible outdoors, I’m passionate about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and I love to get to know new people in the community! I moved back to the downriver area following my master’s program at Eastern Michigan University and I am looking to connect more with the community. I am a very flexible person, so don’t hesitate to ask if you need certain accommodations. I look forward to getting to know you and your furry friends🐾. I currently work from 7:45-4pm full time, however, I am able to board since I work close and come home for lunch. I can also walk/perform drop-in visits for your animals l after work to accommodate different schedules. I have a smaller home with no pets currently residing here, so it’s be a great place to board smaller or anxious animals while you are away.

Keana took excellent care of our two cats while we were away for 2 weeks. She made sure their litter was clean, bowls were full, fresh water was always available, and that they had plenty of play and socialization time. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
