Safety, trust & environment

As I'm not taking on boarders in my own home, I'm happy to work with whatever set-up you have for your pet. I like to meet the pets in advance so that they recognize me, and I can get a walkthrough of their routine.

Information Kate E. would like to know about your pet

I start by asking if they have any behavioral issues or quirks to know about, like specific triggers or things to watch out for. Also important to know are any medical or physical needs and how I can help assist. Finally, the pet's general schedule and likes/dislikes round out the whole picture.

A typical day

We'll cuddle, take walks, and play games that will enhance their mental and physical health. We have fun but I am always mindful of their normal routines.

Pet care experience

I've been taking care of other people's pets in their homes since I was 16! Over the course of my 10 years of experience, I have also worked in a rescue shelter and doggy daycare/boarding facility. Through working in these various settings and caring for my own aging pup, I have experience giving medications and other specialty care for senior and high need dogs (both behavioral and medical).

Kate takes great care of our two huskies! Follows all directions to a T and even goes above and beyond. Very grateful to have found her :)

Kate let out and hung out with our anxious huskies and we hope she will continue to do so! Does everything we ask and more!

She was right on time, and took Roscoe for a nice, long walk. She and Roscoe got along great!

Kate has been the most wonderful addition to my life and my dogs lives. When Kate first came into my life, I had 3 dogs (one very old and sick, a stereotypical dominant herd guardian, and a highly reactive/dog aggressive COVID puppy that was surrendered to me from a less than ideal situation). I could not use a regular kennel so I just never went on vacation. When I found Kate, I finally started living again! She could handle all of my dogs needs, which were varied and many. She has been kind, respectful, and good at communicating with me about my dogs while I'm gone. I have nothing but good things to say and am so grateful for her.
