Pet care is not just my day job—it's my passion! I’ll be readily available to meet all of your pet’s needs with the attention and care they deserve. Your dog will feel right at home in my care. At my house, they’ll enjoy a secure, fenced yard with plenty of space to play and explore safely. About: *I am once again booking half-hour sessions!* My name is Susan, thank you for your interest in my services! I have been a dog lover my entire life and have had the privilege of being a shelter volunteer, foster, employee and advocate for over fifteen years. I have recently launched my business as a full-time professional dog trainer. I am a member in good standing of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and I carry training/sitting/walking insurance as well. I hold a Bachelor of Science in biology, in which I successfully completed a course in animal behavior, as well as a Master of Education. I believe that our canine companions are not only in need of physical exercise, but mental stimulation as well. I would love to talk to you more about ways we can set your dog up for success. The old adage is true- a tired dog is a good dog! I have three dogs of my own (German shepherds) ranging in age from 1 year to 8 years. I am happy to tailor every walk/drop in/pet sitting to the individual needs of your dog or dogs. I have spent years working in public safety, and I understand the importance and responsibility of animal management. You can trust that I will always be vigilant, ensuring your companion is not placed into situations that might be concerning. I understand how difficult it can be to trust someone with your best furry friend, and you can rest assured I will care for them as I would my own. I will follow your instructions without deviation- after all, who knows your pet better than you? I believe in minimally intrusive/aversive training, and I am an avid clicker trainer. If your dogs need a little work in the training department, this is something we can also discuss. I can help with obedience, house manners, and more. Training can be fun, positive, and strengthen the human/canine bond. I have a completely clean background and I believe in honesty, integrity, and I have a strong moral compass. If you hire me to pet sit in your home, you can feel at ease knowing that I would never violate the trust you have placed in me. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon! I have a highly flexible schedule, and I can cater to your pet's needs throughout the day or evening. Overnight stays are available less frequently, please contact me for availability. Safety is my top priority for your pet(s). I am highly cognizant of potential hazards (open doors, loose fence boards, poorly fitted collars/harnesses) and will always check that I have created and maintained a safe environment for them. I will be communicative with you and ensure that I check in and check out, so you have peace of mind that your companion has been thoughtfully cared for.

About: Updated availability at the bottom. My combination of experience, adaptability, and attention to detail makes me a reliable and trustworthy pet sitter. Having worked for Cowabunga Pet Sitting in Kerrville during its transition to a new owner and continuing with K&K Pet Sitting, I have gained valuable hands-on experience in professional pet care. I have cared for a wide range of animals, from dogs and cats to more unique pets like a parrot, pot-bellied pigs, goats, and horses, allowing me to adapt to different care routines and needs. What truly sets me apart is my ability to follow both written and verbal instructions with precision, ensuring pets receive the care they are accustomed to. I am highly teachable and open to learning each pet owner's specific preferences, while also bringing my own expertise to provide the best possible care. My passion for animal welfare drives me to create a safe, comfortable, and emotionally secure environment for every pet I look after. Additionally, I prioritize strong communication with pet owners, offering regular updates and photos so they can feel reassured about their pet’s well-being. I am currently working an 8-5pm job, but am available Fridays after 5:30pm, early mornings, evenings and possibly overnights on Saturday and Sunday. I am available weekdays if needed from 7am-7:45 and 5:30pm-8:30pm. Pet care is an integral part of my routine, as I have my own pets. I prioritize providing consistent, compassionate care to ensure pets feel comfortable and happy. My approach focuses on creating a structured yet flexible routine that accommodates each pet's unique requirements, ensuring they receive attention, exercise, and feel at home with me. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I maintain their routine as closely as possible to reduce stress and promote familiarity. I follow all provided instructions regarding feeding schedules, medication, exercise, and any special requirements. Ensuring a clean and safe environment is a top priority, and I provide regular updates to owners so they feel reassured about their pet’s well-being. Additionally, I build trust with pets through positive reinforcement, patience, and plenty of affection.

About: I've taken care of pets for around 16 years as an adult, for others and myself! I would say I have worked with dogs/puppies for about of those years off and on. This included some basics of beginner training for a puppy. My background is in human services, so I love people and pets :) It would be my pleasure to help support with your pet in your home, either drop ins, for a certain number of hours, or overnight, including house sitting. I do best with small to medium dogs, or some larger dogs who do not jump, pull on the lease, etc. I work from home, remotely at this time, so I have a lot of flexibility, and some weeks I can stay in home, and even drive a ways for these situations. Locally, Kerrville, Ingram, and within about a 10-15 miles radius, I can work in some regular daytime stays or drop-in. When caring for pets in my client's home, I focus on following the schedule and engagement in ways the pets do well with. I know some pets are more particular than others about schedules, so this is important. Regular movement is also important to me, so dogs will not be in crates longer than needed/requested. I aim to be available to engage regularly for longer stays as well!

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals my whole life! I use to work at a dog rescue so I have experience with many dogs. I have also worked at a vet clinic which means I have experience medicating dogs and taking care of sick dogs. I work early in the morning so I do get out early enough to still spend most of my day with my animals. On my lunch break I also come home too socialize with my animals. I also have my sister come take care of my animals when I know I may be a little occupied because of work. If the animal where to be in my home I have a friendly dog and two dog/cat friendly cats. If need be I would separate my animals from yours so your animal feels comfortable at my home. If I where to be at your home I would assess the animals needs and cater to them. I would also follow the rules for the animal that the owner gives. I have given animals meds and shots before. If things like that are needed I can do so.

About: I love animals and spending time with them. I have trained dogs and worked with problem behaviors. I enjoy taking care of them and playing with them. I am responsible and trustworthy. I have reliable transportation. I live out in the country and have a couple of acres fenced in. My own dogs are well socialized and get a long with all animals. I can help with any training issues you might have with your dog. I believe in positive reinforcement training and that some things work better for some dogs than others. You have to get inside the dogs head and figure out what motivates them and why they react certain ways to certain situations. I also believe there are no bad dogs, they just need training.
