“Jack and his family were great! He kept me updated with pictures and tidbits about my dogs’ day. And he was flexible with my crazy holiday schedule. My dogs seem to have enjoyed their time with Jack and his family. I plan to book again in the future.”

“As a rover sitter myself, I am on always looking at what other pet sitters can teach me- and Karen taught me a lot! She is a consummate pet sitter and very professional. She and her husband loved on my dog Missie like she was one of their own dogs. And their rural hill country home was a perfect environment for missie- lots of shade trees and deer to bark at. She administered some homeopathic medicine for us (Missie has cancer) and was very alert to Missie's body language- and slept with Missie even though that wasn't their routine with dogs (Missie's used to being around people at night) Loved Karen and her husband and their beautiful hill country home. Will definitely use her again- and stay in Kerrville - forget the crowds of Fredericksburg.”
“Kaitlyn is very experienced with taking care of animals. She is very loving. My dog Abby had a great time staying at her house and snuggling with her daughter. Definitely recommend.”

“This was the first time we’ve used the Rover app. From the moment we met Shelby we new this was the perfect person to sit our Pepper. She is an amazing person who went out of her way to make our experience as enjoyable & pleasant as possible. She is a very genuine & caring person , and we will definitely use her again if available Thanks Shelby!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner my entire life (50 years). I am a registered nurse and work from home. I have 1 dog of my own, Bailey, 6 year old Shih tzu. She loves to play and make new friends! I work from home and take my dog out to potty and walk every 2-3 hours. Your dogs will be welcome inside during the day, and supervised when in the back yard. I do have to limit my in home boarding to hypoallergenic dogs due to allergies. My yard is fenced. I always supervise my dog while outside, and always on leashes while in front and on walks. Your fur babies would be my fur babies… I’d love them as my own.
About: I have 30+ years of pet care experience not only with my own pets, but also friends & family that I have taken care of. I am very friendly to all animals and know how to interact with the most timid or aggressive dogs. When I meet a new animal, owners tell me that I must have a sixth sense because the animals never react so well to anyone. I tell the owners that they must know I am a dog lover and enjoy being with animals more than I do people. I work from home so will be with your furry child all day. I have two Black Labs of my own that love everyone! References available upon request.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ingram
This is the first time I have ever left pets with a sitter so I may have overwhelmed Jack with detailed instructions. When I dropped off my two dogs they took to both Jack and his family immediately. Gee, I thought they may not want to leave. Just kidding. He sent timely photos and that was reassuring. Would I book again? Definitely. Thanks Jack.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
