“Lauran was understanding and affectionate with my granddogs , working very well both with the elderly dog and the younger strong-minded one. She was flexible to come when most needed. Lauran is mature, experienced, and able to handle the dogs easily, keeping them safe and happy. I look forward to having her care for the dogs again. She made it possible for me to care for the dogs and they love her.”

“Justin was fantastic! He came to walk my Great Pyrenees, Boo, who can be reactive to other dogs on walks, and I immediately felt confident leaving him in Justin’s care. Before the walk, he took the time to ask questions. Justin was incredibly kind and patient with Boo, and it was obvious that Boo had a great time! He even came early in the morning to help us beat the summer heat, which I really appreciated. After their one hour walk, Boo came home happy, relaxed, and tired! I highly recommend Justin to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and knowledgeable dog walker. We’ll definitely be booking with him again!”

“Zane warmed up to Annie right away upon her visit. When we got home from being away all day, Zane was perfectly normal and he’s a dog who has had separation anxiety in the past. Great photos of Zane while she was walking him; he looked like he enjoyed the time.”

About: I have a genuine love for animals and I have been pet/house sitting for about 10 years. I have always had pets and been around all different kinds of animals. I just graduated from law school, I started my new job post law school. I do work in an office, but I am able to stop in and make sure your animal is taken care of. I live in an apartment so I would prefer to take care of a pet at your home. I am happy to walk a dog on a leash, let them out to play, play with them, take them to a dog park.

About: I have been an animal lover, animal rescuer and pet care taker all my life. I have walked dogs, and cared for cats since I was a child. I currently have a special needs cat, plus two others high needs(spoiled) kitties. I have a good deal of experience medicating and caring for cats and dogs. I walk my parents’ dog for them daily. I took care of a neighbors cats for her while she was traveling for almost a year. Your animal babies will always be safe and cared for with me. I am currently an online ESL instructor for JCPS. I work from home part-time. I also need to be able to medicate my own epileptic kitty at 9 am and 9 pm every day. My schedule is very flexible around these reaponsibilities. I am an experienced, responsible and caring dog walker. I can provide pets with care and company in their homes in whatever way is the least disruptive and the most comforting to them.
“Booked Courtney at the very last minute for a 1 hr walk for the first time and she was able to accommodate and get my boys. They enjoyed their time and she cared enough to towel dry them after their walk as it was raining. Booked again for boarding and she was always informative, reached out with any questions to make sure she provided the best care and daily updates with pictures etc. she made sure they got comfortable being in a new space as well. Xoxo”

“Lauren is amazing! I have two dogs, a senior and a puppy, that have different needs. She worked with me to plan their walks and communicated wonderfully. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Lauren to help take care of your fur babies!!!”

About: Hi! My name is Logan and I reside in St Matthew’s. I’ve worked in pet care since age 12 with my childhood dog Lady. I now have only 1 pet (a cat named Big G) and have previously owned an Australian Shepard , exotic fish, and geckos . I love pets of all shapes and sizes and animals more broadly. What differentiates me from other pet sitters is my experience with high maintenance fish in addition to the usual suspects of dogs and cats . I am a substitute teacher with JCPS and have an afternoons and early mornings free for care. I have a flexible schedule and can make things work for your convenience. I typically visit clients home rather than host at my own residence . I am clean, prompt , and responsive when dealing with pets and their owners .
About: I have experience with both young and older pets. With puppies and kittens, I stay consistent with routines and can help reinforce basic training like potty habits, feeding schedules, and positive behavior. For senior pets, I’m gentle and attentive to their needs, whether that means giving medication, moving at a slower pace, or just providing extra comfort and companionship. I also make sure pet owners feel at ease by keeping communication open—I can send updates, photos, and check-ins so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to create a stress-free experience for both you and your pet. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. I make time for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day, and I’m consistent with routines so pets feel comfortable and secure. Throughout the week, I stay flexible to meet each pet’s specific needs, whether that’s extra visits, longer walks, or special care. I’m reliable and make sure every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. In my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets are comfortable, safe, and kept on their normal routine. I follow all feeding instructions, give fresh water, regular potty breaks, and plenty of exercise and attention. I also provide playtime, affection, and calm companionship so they feel at ease while you’re away. I keep the space clean and always respect the client’s home just like it’s my own.
“Sam was great! She was able to help me out in a pinch. She was prompt and informative. She requested instructions and followed them perfectly. And Korben obviously loved her too!”

About: I’ve owned a dog all of my adult life. I can’t imagine life without having to pick up dog poop daily. :) I was able to crate/potty train our puppy in less than a week! I’m also able to help train with basic commands. Your furry, cuddly love bug will be in good hands. I am a stay at home mom, so I am free anytime to let your fur babies out, take them for a walk, replenish their food and water and give extra cuddles while you’re away. I have a 5 and 3 year old who love our dog. They are very gentle with their furry sibling. Your pet will feel safe and have another furry playmate to play with. I can send pictures once a day so you don’t have to miss your baby too much.
“Winnie looked like she was loving her walk! Oliver responded really quickly to requests, was quite communicative and I loved the photos! (I hav a hard time getting good ones of her.) Thanks, Oliver!”

“Alice is the best. Won’t use anybody else. Very professional. Came to the house before the walk to get acquainted with the dogs and house. Will be using Alice again without a doubt”

About: I’ve had over 20 pets growing up, from dogs, hamsters, ferrets, you name it. I have lots of experience working with animals, including lots of training caring for animals and building fast-strong bonds. Im an educator with early mornings that allow me ample time in the early afternoons and evenings to care for you pet. My schedule is pretty flexible and able to fit around your pet sitting needs when giving proper notice. I can also be available for quick dog walks and check ins everyday of the week. I have my own dog, Onyx who is able to roam free unless I leave the house and will offer the same freedom to your dog. We live in a great neighborhood with other friendly pet owners and provide a great route for nice long walks to enjoy the weather. I can also crate or fence in your pet if needed as well.
“Amanda was a God send! Even when my wrong address was in the system and she went to that house first, she went back to our ACTUAL house to take care of our girls. We were so thankful!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
