About: I am an experienced pet sitter with over five years of experience. My experience includes working with puppies, kittens, and senior fur babies. I am a retired nurse and have experience giving dogs their medicine. Moreover, I have experience with dealing with seizures, congestive heart failure and joint pain in fur babies which helps ensure safe care. About: In 2006, my family adopted an Old English Sheepdog, Zoey. We got Zoey when she was a puppy, and she lived to be 9 before she passed away. In 2013, my dad and step-mom adopted an Australian Shepherd puppy, Molly. Molly was very high energy and needed a job to do, which was stressful for my step-mom so after Zoey passed away, my mom, my sisters, and I had Molly come live with us. Molly was with me for all walks of life, and we lived together just me and her for the past 6 years. As Molly had gotten older, her arthritis became a big deterrent for us, and we adapted as best we could to make her as happy and comfortable as possible. In the years after college, I dog-sat for my family friends and my own friends when they'd travel. It was always enjoyable and a good way to hang out with some pretty cool dogs! They came in all shapes, sizes, and ages! With Maddy the shitzu being 17 and Banor the German Shepherd being almost a year. I've always had pets, so taking care of them has always been a priority for me. It's truly muscle memory at this point. I get up and immediately go to take my dog outside. Before going to bed, I allot 20 extra minutes to take my dog outside. It's second nature. I care for pets by creating a safe environment for them. I always double-check to make sure nothing is on the floor that they could get into. Pushing things back on the counter in case they jump. And making sure they get extra pets before leaving them to go to work.

She took over in an emergency and was so reliable and great with my dogs, and kind enough to accommodate us for an extended sit, that we asked for her services with no hesitation. And that can be tricky when you're not able to explain the care in person. We communicated via texts and phone on regular basis and she went above and beyond to fulfill my dogs' needs and care. And my pups took to her very quickly. Leaving home for quite a bit may be worrisome but she took charge of the house care as well as if it was her own space. About: I’ve had animals my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I’ve primarily cared for small and medium-sized dogs, but I’ve also had experience with larger dogs, including my roommate's two who were very cautious and selective about who they trusted. Somehow, they quickly decided I was one of their people! My family and friends also regularly trust me with their furry family members and often come to me for advice. I currently have a cat of my own who requires medication and has some behavioral quirks, so I’m comfortable with the extra patience, consistency, and attention that pets with special needs may require. I’ve always been the person animals seem to gravitate toward wherever I go. My mom has jokingly called me the “cat whisperer” for years, especially! I truly love getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while their humans are away. I am self-employed and make my own schedule - I am very flexible so I am able to work from virtually anywhere and at any time, so fitting in any set care is very easy! I always want to make sure I earn the trust, respect, and love of the pets by being gentle, caring, and loving and showing them they can trust me. This often looks like some extra cuddles, a treat, some play time during quick drop-ins etc! There's nothing better than earning a fur baby's trust :)
