About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of different breeds since I was 15. I have experience in feeding, walking, playtime, and anything that helps keep them in their normal routine. Neighbors, family members, and friends have trusted me with their fur babies. I even still care for my neighbors sweet dog, Molly, from time to time when they are away. Caring for animals is very rewarding for me because I love seeing how quickly they react to patience and kindness. It feels meaningful to know that I’m improving their day-to-day comfort and happiness while their owner is away. About: I have lived with, raised, and cared for multiple dogs at once for my entire life. I have grown up with retrievers, shibas, Rhodesian ridgebacks, and all manner of rescues. As a dog sitter, I have walked, played with, and done multi-day overnights with all kinds of canines, from timid greyhounds to rambunctious collies. I lead an active lifestyle and take my shiba for at least three 2-mile walks each day, plus weekend hikes and trips to the dog park. I am a freelance writer, so I have a very flexible schedule. The highlight of my day is walking my dog and, ideally, meeting new dogs along the way. I feel like Rover is the perfect way to spend time with dogs and help their time-pressed owners. About: Mason and I have both had pets our entire lives, there has not been a single moment in my life where there wasn't a pet in the house. Between the two of us, we have experience with dogs, cats, bunnies, rats, mice, hamsters, Guinae pigs, and even a little experience with birds. Though new to Rover itself, we have housesat many times for family and friends, taking care dogs and cats as well as chickens and even turtles. We live with my parents and their two dogs and two cats, whom we take care of when they go out of town. In addition to this, we are also pet parents to two adorable bunnies Motzi and Popo who my parents care for when I house sit. Mason and I are both in school, but work opposite shifts when not in class, so your furry friends will never be home alone for long periods of time. We are avid hikers and love to walk, so an active puppy is no problem for us. We both love animals and have extensive experience with a variety of pets and their personalities and would love to get to know yours! As pet parents ourselves, we know it can be difficult, and sometimes scary leaving them with other people for a time, but you can trust that Mason and I will provide thorough, loving care for your furry friend(s)! Mason works early morning into the afternoon and I am currently in college. When I am not in class, I have full availability with your pets, so your furry friends will never be home alone for very long. On a typical week, Mason and I both leave the house at around 6:30 or 7 am depending on how our commute may be where we are staying. I am usually back from school before noon and will spend the rest of the afternoon with your pets! Once Mason is home from work, we both take care of your furry friends. We will always do our best and move our schedules as much as possible to ensure that pets are not home alone for extended periods of time, especially young puppies or kittens as we know how adorable, yet mischievous they can be 😂! We are very flexible when it comes to the care of your pets, they are your pets after all! Whatever needs to be done for them, we got you! If for any reason, we think the job may require more time than we have to give, I will gladly let you know so that your pets will receive the care that they need and deserve. As lifelong pet owners, we have experience will mischievous puppies and kitties who get into stuff they shouldn't, as well as older pets who may need a little extra attention when it comes to things like food and medications. I have had many pets, and know how different their personalities and needs may be, and we are very comfortable catering to specific needs of your furry friends whether it be behavioral or medical.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have found Rich (Kemba) for our American Bulldog, George. Our meet & greet was off to a slow start, as George is not always friendly to new people. Kemba and his wife Sandra, however, we so amazingly patient, understanding and kind to George - allowing him time to warm up a bit as we talked about his particular needs. Clearly they have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with all sorts of animals, including those who are "misunderstood". We scheduled a 2 week period of 2/day drop-in visits for George, beginning with yesterday (while my husband and I were home to show Kemba the ropes). George was extremely unpleasant and unwelcoming, but Kemba remained calm and collected, explaining George's behavior and reassuring him. He reassured me as well, as I was stressing out over George's outburst. We reviewed some of the notes I left for Kemba and went outside for a short playtime. George is very capable, caring hands with this man. We have a very good feeling moving forward and are confident that he and George will be great friends. I cannot recommend Kemba more highly.”

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
