“Erica was a godsend. We took in a foster in Feb and ended up adopting her. Unlike my other two dogs, the new pup hates being crated and has separation anxiety. We had a prescheduled trip planned for April and the new pup was too much for our house sitter to handle since he’d be coming and going. We were able to do a meet and greet with Erica where she assured me she’d have no problem watching the pup. Things worked out well and she will be my go to the next time we get away.”

About: I've lived with and cared for cats since I was born (truly starting to take care of them and help out around age 10). My friends always call me to watch their cats when they're on vacation, because they know I'll always provide whatever care is necessary. Whether the cat is super chill, playful, or would rather I not exist, I do whatever your cat needs while you're out - and daily pictures of your pets are always included! About: My first pet I’ve ever had was a cat. Her name was Mandy. My parents got her as a kitten around the same time I was born. She was a beautiful tortoise shell who had such a loving but spunky personality. She was what made my love for cats grow stronger. Since 2015. My family and I began fostering litters of cats as well as dogs. Some of the litters of kittens we fostered were orphaned, so we had to bottle feed them until they were old enough to eat normal food. I like to think I have a personality similar to a cat, which is why I bond with cats so much!

About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

As for dogs- your dog and I will always take the quieter and less busy route and avoid people and other pets to prevent any unfavorable mishaps. A fenced-in yard is always preferred for playtime, but if you do not have a fenced-in yard than your dog will always be on the leash while we are outside to prevent any runaways. If you have instructions to put your dog in their crate upon leaving, I will always make sure they go into their crate comfortably and latch the hooks completely. In regards to cats, when entering and exiting the house I use extreme caution to make sure the cats do not run outside. I am also Pet CPR and Pet First Aid certified so you can rest assure that your pet would be tended to if an urgent situation were to arise.

“Erica was a godsend. We took in a foster in Feb and ended up adopting her. Unlike my other two dogs, the new pup hates being crated and has separation anxiety. We had a prescheduled trip planned for April and the new pup was too much for our house sitter to handle since he’d be coming and going. We were able to do a meet and greet with Erica where she assured me she’d have no problem watching the pup. Things worked out well and she will be my go to the next time we get away.”
