About: Mason and I have both had cats as kids. Between the two of us, we have experience with cats, dogs, bunnies, rats, mice, hamsters, Guinae pigs, and even a little experience with birds. Though new to Rover itself, we have housesat many times for family and friends as well as a few freelance clients, taking care dogs and cats as well as chickens and even turtles. We live with my parents and their two dogs and two cats, whom we take care of when they go out of town. From the time I was born, there has never been a time where there wasn't a cat in my house. I love cats so much! I'm often torn between being a cat or a dog person, but find that the kitties usually have my heart. Mason and I both have experience with cats old and young, I have had new born baby kittens in my house as well as cats in their late teens. We have no issues when it comes to cleaning litter boxes and I know how to administer oral medications, though I know some cats can be very particular when it comes to any sort of handling at times 😂. We both love animals and have extensive experience with a variety of pets and their personalities and would love to get to know yours! About: My first pet I’ve ever had was a cat. Her name was Mandy. My parents got her as a kitten around the same time I was born. She was a beautiful tortoise shell who had such a loving but spunky personality. She was what made my love for cats grow stronger. Since 2015. My family and I began fostering litters of cats as well as dogs. Some of the litters of kittens we fostered were orphaned, so we had to bottle feed them until they were old enough to eat normal food. I like to think I have a personality similar to a cat, which is why I bond with cats so much!
About: I have had many different pets since I was a young kid. Cats, dogs, birds, snake, rats, bearded dragon and a hedgehog. I am now 31 with 2 rescue cats, a rescue dog & another dog we got at 7 weeks in 2020 (all covid babies) we love them so so much, they are my children. I don’t have any special training but I am very patient, loving, experienced & happy to just hang with your pets!! I am a bartender and mainly work nights. So I am free during the day. I also only work about 3/4 days a week, so I have plenty of time to show your pet the proper attention. I have a full fenced in yard. 2 dogs, 1 rescue mix (65lbs) 1 pug/schnauzer mix (23lbs). 2 cats (1 acts like a dog herself) my pets have free roam of the house but I will crate yours if you prefer. About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

Being homeschooled for a majority of my childhood, I was able to learn about taking care of these needy animals at such a young age. We have fostered dogs and cats of almost all ages, from newborns to adults. Even during the years, my family and I fostered these animals, I’ve had multiple neighbors at a time rely on me to visit and walk their dogs while they’re at work. “Armitage took great care of my 2 dogs for a week. We got photos everyday and plenty of updates that they were doing well. Armitage also washed our dog’s beds before we picked them up, which was not expected! I felt very confident they were in good hands while we were away!”

“Kyla was a superb sitter for our young pup. We were so anxious over having to leave him with someone as he has had a tough time already in life with being born in a street in Texas, then having to stay in a shelter in a pen for almost three months to then being brought to Tennessee to a shelter where he was adopted by us. Then he had to take a long Trek to Connecticut in a semi trailer with 150 other dogs crated the whole trip where we picked him up. He is very anxious and not use to other people or animals. I must say Kyla was super great with Franklin. She did everything we had asked even down to the insane feeding ways we have. We left a long list with Kyla as if we were leaving a human child and she fulfilled each and every one and then some. She is a very caring, kind and loving animal sitter. Her house is super clean and a great environment for any pet. Her children are just the cutest and very helpful with the animals. They love animals and are very gentle with them which was so cute to see. Kyla was super great about sending daily pictures and updates to us about Franklin. She keeps things very professional and I will certainly recommend her to anyone who wants a home away from home for there pet while they vacation or work. We will definitely use her pet boarding services again.”
