About: Ive been taking care of family pets for years and I enjoy spending time with them! Animals are my passion and I’ve earned the experience of taking care of them. This is my part-time job, which means my schedule is very flexible and easy to work around. I’m able to adjust my availability to meet your needs, whether that’s weekdays, weekends, mornings, or evenings! I have had a dog for around 10 years and I’ve seen the way he’s grown from pup to a big dog. I’ve also taken care of friend’s and family’s dogs that are smaller. With this, I can promise that your pets will be safe with me!

Rich was incredible. Definitely helped me in a pinch with my dog Goomba! He was very responsive and loved all the pictures of my pup with him on their walk. Would certainly use him again in the future and highly recommend. For all kinds of dogs, sometimes can be tough finding your pet as much as you do but Rich certainly has a big affinity for dogs which makes you rest easy while he’s with your pup.

Jen is wonderful and has a great calm energy which is a good fit for my pupper. Honey is a little clingy with her humans but by the second walk she was confident with Jen and she got in a great walk. As I am not fully mobile at the moment, having someone to walk the pupper is essential and much appreciated!!

About: My family and I have fostered dogs and cats, and litters of puppies and kittens since I was nine years old. Being homeschooled for a majority of my childhood, I was able to learn about taking care of these needy animals at such a young age. We have fostered dogs and cats of almost all ages, from newborns to adults. Even during the years, my family and I fostered these animals, I’ve had multiple neighbors at a time rely on me to visit and walk their dogs while they’re at work. That is how I got my first job at 11 years old. I’m out of school for the summer, so I am free practically whenever your pups need me! I can drop in/walk daily or weekly, whatever works for you! With my school and work schedule and the living situation I’m in, I don’t currently offer boarding services, but that may change in the future!

About: I have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, including 10 years working in rescue and fostering. This has given me strong experience with everything from high-energy dogs to anxious or shy personalities. I provide a calm, structured, kennel-free home where dogs are treated like family — not boarded in a facility. I have one friendly English Lab, Gracey, and four cats. I have extensive experience managing a multi-pet household and always prioritize safe, slow introductions and proper separation when needed to ensure every pet feels comfortable and secure. While my yard is not fenced, all outdoor time is fully supervised using secure tethers or leashes for safety. I am comfortable with feeding routines, administering medications, senior care, and tailoring each stay to your dog’s specific needs. I am the primary caregiver, but my 14-year-old daughter also helps and has grown up around animals, including 10 years of rescue and fostering experience. She is gentle, attentive, and always supervised. I also offer drop-in visits in the Scituate, RI area for dogs who prefer to stay in their own home. You’ll receive daily photo and video updates, along with clear communication, so you always know your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day. Pets are rarely left alone for long periods, and I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, playtime, and supervision. I structure my day around the pets in my care to keep their routine as close to home as possible. This includes feeding schedules, outdoor time, walks, and rest. I am available for boarding, drop-ins in the Scituate, RI area, and can accommodate weekday and weekend care. My goal is to provide a calm, reliable routine so your pet feels safe and comfortable during their stay. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, structured, kennel-free home where pets are supervised and treated like family. I have one friendly English Lab and four cats, and I am experienced in managing a multi-pet household. I always use safe, slow introductions and can fully separate pets when needed to ensure everyone is comfortable and secure. While my yard is not fenced, all outdoor time is closely supervised using secure tethers or leashes. My home is equipped with indoor cameras for added safety and monitoring, allowing me to keep a close eye on pets at all times. I maintain a clean, safe environment and follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, medications, and any special instructions. I also provide daily photo and video updates so you always know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: Se habla español! Hello there! My name is Devorat, but you can call me Debby. I’ve always loved animals and have spent most of my life caring for pets. I have lots of energy and love to spend it playing with animals! I consider pets part of the family, and I know exactly how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your fur baby. I offer a highly attentive, safe, and loving environment in Cranston. My home has a fully fenced yard where your dog can run and play safely, and I am home to provide potty breaks every 2 to 4 hours. My family has a friendly 6 year old Goldendoodle named Toby, but he lives downstairs in a separate apartment. Because of this, my main living space is completely open and dedicated to my guest dogs! It is an open & flexible place where multiple guest dogs can socialize and play together comfortably. Since I attend school virtually, I am home all day and pet care is my primary focus! Your pets will have constant company and plenty of attention. I am fully available for overnight boarding, fun doggy day care, and active neighborhood dog walking on both weekdays and weekends. I am happy to help with your pet's feeding, playtime, and exercise routines throughout the day! Safety is my top priority. I am here to supervise play and potty breaks in my fully fenced yard. I closely follow your specific care instructions, including feeding schedules and crate routines. I’m home most of the day, but I do sometimes pop out for quick errands. Before leaving, I always make sure the dogs are safely tucked into their crates or separated so they stay safe and happy while I’m gone. You'll get plenty of regular photo updates so you can see your pet is safe and having fun!

Stephanie always takes really good care of our dog, Zoe. At the end of every walk Zoe is completely tired out (which is great since she has enough energy to power up a small village), and Zoe has become really attached to Stephanie since they have started their walks together. I certainly recommend her to anyone!

About: I have lived with, raised, and cared for multiple dogs at once for my entire life. I have grown up with retrievers, shibas, Rhodesian ridgebacks, and all manner of rescues. As a dog sitter, I have walked, played with, and done multi-day overnights with all kinds of canines, from timid greyhounds to rambunctious collies. I lead an active lifestyle and take my shiba for at least three 2-mile walks each day, plus weekend hikes and trips to the dog park. I am a freelance writer, so I have a very flexible schedule. The highlight of my day is walking my dog and, ideally, meeting new dogs along the way. I feel like Rover is the perfect way to spend time with dogs and help their time-pressed owners. I will follow any and all instructions left by the owners. I always keep dogs leashed, prevent them from eating foreign objects, and otherwise prioritize their safety at all times.

About: I've grown up with dogs my whole life and am currently living with a wonderful pup, Sherlock, who is an incredible, calm, and friendly 50lb hound-mix. Given my experience living and caring for dogs, many friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me with walking their dogs or pet-sitting their houses, and it's something I quite enjoy. I am a school teacher, so during this summer season, I have flexible availability to care for your loved ones whether it is for a nice day hike or at night for cuddles and protection! I live in an apartment right across from a park with empty fields and woodland trails. I love walking and would be more than happy to help you while gaining a trail partner in the process! And walks aside, we know all pets need a little bit of love, play, and a responsible caretaker, of which I'd be happy to provide!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of different breeds since I was 15. I have experience in feeding, walking, playtime, and anything that helps keep them in their normal routine. Neighbors, family members, and friends have trusted me with their fur babies. I even still care for my neighbors sweet dog, Molly, from time to time when they are away. Caring for animals is very rewarding for me because I love seeing how quickly they react to patience and kindness. It feels meaningful to know that I’m improving their day-to-day comfort and happiness while their owner is away. I’m currently in college (off for the summer) so I’m available whenever you need me to care for your fur babies. Im available for walks any time and will gladly make home visits when needed. I understand that safety is one of the most important factors in caring for animals. I will always respect a client’s home and only do what is instructed of me. At my home, I have a large fenced in backyard my own dog loves!

From dogs to cats to reptiles to aquatic pets, I know how to care for most pets. I spend my free time studying animal husbandry (caretaking) of all kinds and have always wanted to be a vet. • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
