I am currently a teacher in my local school district available for walks or drop ins after 3pm Monday-Friday! I have plenty of available time to be around to walk and play with your pups! I do not currently offer in house boarding and am only focusing on walking pets in your neighborhood, but I am more than happy and able to walk and play with your pets. I am comfortable with crating animals or leaving them free roam in house after playtime is over, whatever is considered the "norm" for your pup!

I have a senior diabetic pomeranian and a 3 year old highly energetic Border Collie and both of my dogs seem to love Marissa! We always get pictures of our smiling pups and it is clear they have a good time during the visit. Marissa is not only great with our dogs, but she is reliable, trustworthy, and will go the extra mile to accommodate bookings. We never come home to any accidents, and she is always kind enough to bring our packages in front the porch. This holiday season she surprised us with a goodie bag with some things for our dogs AND us! It just goes to show how thoughtful and caring she is. About: I've been caring for all kinds of animals since I was 12 years old. Horses, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, you name it! My love for animals is what inspired me to become a vet tech and I want to continue providing care for many years to come. I have several references available upon request. I'm currently working for an emergency vet hospital 3 days out of the week - Sun, Mon, + Tues in 8 hour shifts. I typically work from 7/8am to 330/430pm. ** For overnights, if your pet is alright with being left alone for these periods of time, or you'd like to schedule me concurrently with another sitter / family member / friend, please let me know. ** ** If you schedule with me at least 2 weeks in advance, I can put in a time off request with my work so I can better accommodate your pets. ** I prefer to care for animals in the comfort of their own homes. Having a daily routine that is specific to an animal provides stability, and removing them to a completely new area they don't recognize can be possibly damaging and cause significant stress. I will adapt to your pet's schedule and help make them feel at ease knowing they won't be forcibly removed from their home.

About: I’ve been passionate about animals my whole life and can frequently be found with the hosts’ pets at most get togethers. My experience has been with numerous dog breeds from chihuahuas and rat terriers to pitties, Rottweilers, and German Shepherds, and I’m currently “mom” to a 7 year old rescue GSD named Maddie. I’m happy to help out whether it’s with potty breaks and playtime, a walk around the neighborhood, check ins for food and cuddles or whatever else your fur baby may need. I’m currently home full time, so I’m more than happy to stop in for a morning check in or walk with your babies (8-11am), afternoon potty break (12-2pm), or dinner (5-7pm). While caring for your pets in your home I like to follow their norm as closely as possible. If there are certain routines you normally follow (ex: they always get a cookie after they go potty), preferred routes your dogs like to take on walks or specific quirks your pets have, please let me know an I will follow them to the best of my ability.
