About: While I'll be new to Rover, i have the utmost care, and love for animals. I make sure I can read their body language to see what they are thinking, since they can't talk. I've been my friends' go-to person for pet sitting and fostering. I'm currently away from my boy during a move, and need some time with pups and kitties! I'd be looking for after-work walks and visits to start with. Possible mid-days depending on location. I'm used to on-leash high energy dogs and long trail walks. I normally let them choose the path so they get to enjoy the freedom of choice. And I ALWAYS pick up the poop! As for cats, I just love them so much. I an experienced with positivity training, so I care deeply about being a good person for your dog and cat. I will never demand, reprimand, or punish the animal. They are another living creature that deserves a voice! This is their time, their walk, and I make sure I am paying attention to them, and the surroundings. I will not be offering in-my-home-sitting, but if needed, I can possibly do pet and house sitting. I'm mostly looking for walking. I have experience house sitting as well, and would treat your home as I would hope someone watching mine would!

About: Throughout my life, animals and children have been drawn to my soft energy. I’ve had and been around dogs and cats all my life. I’ve been working with my giant schnauzer and friends’ dogs that range from rescued grey hounds to small mixed breeds. I am the go-to for any pet sitting for the fur babies. I’m an aunt to a female brindle kitty that is a sassy lady but loves to snuggle me when I visit. Additionally, I frequently watch a reactive grey hound and I am able to still provide the attention she deserves. I understand patience is key when working with people and animals. I’m a Behavioral Technician for children on the spectrum. I currently work 8 am-5 pm Mon-Fri in Warwick. I’m the perfect fit for holidays, evenings, overnights, and weekends! I am thorough with my communication and the expectations needed for any situation. I am typically a homebody who enjoys movies, games, and reading. When house sitting, I usually hang around with your fur baby and offer emotional support until you return. I’ll follow their lead and offer bids for connection. I stick to the routine schedule provided to me (feedings and potty breaks). While providing the known routine for comfort to the animal, I use this time to attempt pairing whether that be with pets of affection, extra treats (if allowed and within acceptable limit), or structured play time.

“This review is long overdue! I have been using Marissa for about a year now give or take for twice weekly drop ins. I have a senior diabetic pomeranian and a 3 year old highly energetic Border Collie and both of my dogs seem to love Marissa! We always get pictures of our smiling pups and it is clear they have a good time during the visit. Marissa is not only great with our dogs, but she is reliable, trustworthy, and will go the extra mile to accommodate bookings. We never come home to any accidents, and she is always kind enough to bring our packages in front the porch. This holiday season she surprised us with a goodie bag with some things for our dogs AND us! It just goes to show how thoughtful and caring she is. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and started helping care for them at a young age. My family always had dogs, so I’m very comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and happy. I’ve also dog sat for several clients through Rover, caring for dogs with different personalities and routines. I understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable in their own home while their owners are away, and I’m always happy to send updates and photos so you know they’re doing well. I have flexible availability for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting during the week. On weekends I’m also available for boarding and longer stays in Groton, CT where there is a quiet yard and more space for dogs to relax and enjoy outdoor time. I focus on keeping pets comfortable and safe in their environment while following their normal routines. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, and medications if needed. I always make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and a calm environment while their owners are away. When boarding with me on weekends, dogs have space to relax and access to a quiet yard for outdoor time.

About: I've been caring for all kinds of animals since I was 12 years old. Horses, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, you name it! My love for animals is what inspired me to become a vet tech and I want to continue providing care for many years to come. I have several references available upon request. I'm currently available all 7 days of the week for overnight sitting, drop in visits, or walking services! I will plan to meet with you and your pet(s) prior to any confirmation of services to make sure it's a good fit for all of us. I prefer to care for animals in the comfort of their own homes. Having a daily routine that is specific to an animal provides stability, and removing them to a completely new area they don't recognize can be possibly damaging and cause significant stress. I will adapt to your pet's schedule and help make them feel at ease knowing they won't be forcibly removed from their home.

About: My family and I have fostered dogs and cats, and litters of puppies and kittens since I was nine years old. Being homeschooled for a majority of my childhood, I was able to learn about taking care of these needy animals at such a young age. We have fostered dogs and cats of almost all ages, from newborns to adults. Even during the years, my family and I fostered these animals, I’ve had multiple neighbors at a time rely on me to visit and walk their dogs while they’re at work. That is how I got my first job at 11 years old. I’m out of school for the summer, so I am free practically whenever your pups need me! I can drop in/walk daily or weekly, whatever works for you! With my school and work schedule and the living situation I’m in, I don’t currently offer boarding services, but that may change in the future!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of different breeds since I was 15. I have experience in feeding, walking, playtime, and anything that helps keep them in their normal routine. Neighbors, family members, and friends have trusted me with their fur babies. I even still care for my neighbors sweet dog, Molly, from time to time when they are away. Caring for animals is very rewarding for me because I love seeing how quickly they react to patience and kindness. It feels meaningful to know that I’m improving their day-to-day comfort and happiness while their owner is away.
