About: I've had multiple dogs over the last 30 years. Mainly Bull Mastiffs, Border Collie Mix, and multiple Pitties. We lately have been adopting older dogs to give them the best end of life possible. For friends I've watched many smaller to larger dogs, comfortable with all. I have experience with all sorts of meds and care, although I prefer to stay away from anything with needles when possible. We've been to the vet more times than I can count, and have gotten good at understanding/reading dog behavior and signs of distress. I have experience with all soft of personalities...shy or alpha, lazy or rambunctious, etc. I like to understand them and work with them where they are at so they enjoy themselves and are happy. I'm a pretty calm presence and in general dogs trust me right away. My wife will joke that I am a dog whisperer as dogs tend to follow my lead easily, but I think it is simply being confident and projecting that you are there to take care of them. I have a very flexible work schedule and am home most of the time. I only have 1 dog right now (Oscar, 82 lb Pitty who loves everything and everyone...he walks around with soft toys like they are his dolls), but will likely be back to 2 in the near future. I walk my pup(s) pretty much every day. We live near Hart Park and the Oak Leaf Trail so getting out to walk along the river/parks is very easy. New to doing this formally rather than just for friends. Normally watch friends dogs at their place. If we take care of your pup in our home, we will always have 1+ pups that will be other-dog friendly. My wife and I have a small Tosa home but fully fenced-in yard to be able to let them out at any time day or night without worry. We have a small main floor but it has 3-4 dog beds and multiple toys (prefer dogs who are ok with soft toys, as our pup(s) don't rip those up. Will likely prefer caring for your pup in your home, it simply mitigates the crowding in the house and any potential conflicts. If I look after any cats, those would be at your house. We no longer have cats and aren't prepped for that in any way.

About: I had two big dogs of my own for over 10 years who are sadly no longer here. I enjoy the company of dogs of all sizes and getting out for some fresh air. I offer walking and check ups on my 3 days off as I work full time, but I have plenty of free time on those 3 days. I can check in on your dog(s) and spend as much time is needed to help you out. Hope to meet some new people and their awesome dogs! I work full time but have off during Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays which is when I'll be the most able to be fully attentive to your pets. Although I can make myself more available as I become more familiar with you and your pet. I can visit as frequently or infrequently as desired on my free days and I will show respect to your space. In my work I walk a lot so if you have a high energy dog that is no problem on my end.

About: My husband and I loved our dog for 10 years. We can’t get another one anytime soon but will love yours like our own. We both had dogs as pets growing up and have cared for a pet for 40+ years. I am an elementary school principal. I am available for full-time care or walking June-August. Outside of that, I’m available full-time on the weekends and evenings during the week. We are available to accommodate personal requests, a safe environment and safe neighborhood. We are looking to provide care for your beloved pet and to help you out when needed.

About: I’ve been watching cats and dogs for the last 5 years. Each of my family and friends have an animal and i absolutely adore them! I love watching them when needed and care for them as my own. Your fur baby will be in amazing hands and my goal would be to have them trust me and feel so loved and comfortable with me🫶🏽 I work from home 3 days a week so my schedule is very flexible, as I can stop by any time during those work days! I would love to meet your fur baby before watching them so we can form a relationship before hand! About: As a young adult I cared for my neighbor's pets, some time managing up to three houses. I have experience with families with three dogs, fish, lizards, and chickens I work from home most days and I take evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am an active runner and will happily pets on long runs if needed I have a fenced in back yard, and several large rooms in my house. I mostly work from home so I can give your pet all day attention do not have children and keep a clean house.

About: I've been caring for dogs since I was 9 and currently have my own dog. I pet sit for coworkers and friends when they go out of town. I've raised puppies as well as cared for senior dogs. I work from home 3 days a week. I am able to check in on or walk dogs with my little dog on my lunch break or after work. (My dog does not join on cat appointments, but she gets along with most dogs on walks. Dog walking appointments without my own dog are possible upon request.) I have experience with dog and cat behavior, including reactive dogs. While I would like to bring my own dog along on walks you can request me not to if that is what's best for your dog. My dog does come with me for cat appointments ever.
