About: I loved animals ever since I was a kid and raised and trained my dog Zephyr since he was a year old. I adore all animals care for two rodents of my own named Orchid and Meadow. I often petsit for my family and friends and have taken care of a wide variety of animals. I've taken care of pets of all ages from puppies to my senior dog who currently has from dementia. I am very patient and licensed CNA so I know how to handle a mess. I am a freshman in college though my classes are very light. I'm free after 9am on Mondays and Wednesdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays I'm free after 12:15 though I can come in earlier anytime before 9, Fridays can vary for me but I'm typically free after 9-10 am though sometimes if I have an exam it might be an hour or so later though I can always make arrangements if necessary. I care for pets by following their routine, spending lots of time with them, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m respectful of my client's homes and always clean up after the pets and leave everything as I found it. I After a procedure my dog needed to be crate trained so I know how to handle that.

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I started out by dog sitting for my family, and over time I’ve become the go-to person whenever someone needs reliable, loving care for their pets. I regularly dog sit my dad’s 5-year-old Husky, who often stays with me for weeks at a time. I’m comfortable with high-energy dogs and know how important daily exercise and mental stimulation are—especially for working breeds. I also care for my mom and step-dad’s two Pomskies. I’ve stayed in their home for a full week and have also hosted them at mine for extended periods. I’m familiar with routines, feeding schedules, crate use, and keeping dogs comfortable in new environments. Most recently, I watched my sister’s two mixed-breed dogs (a Bernedoodle and a Malinois/Boxer mix) for nine days in their home. They’re very active, so I built their days around walks, play, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection to keep them happy and engaged. Because I’ve cared for multiple dogs at one time and for extended stays, I’m confident managing different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for while you’re away. I work a regular schedule from 8:00–4:30 each day, but I build pet care into my daily routine. I’m able to come home on my lunch break to let animals out, check in, or take them for a quick walk. I’m also available on Saturdays after 12:30 PM, and I’m fully available all day on Sundays and Mondays. This gives me plenty of flexibility for drop-ins, walks, or hosting dogs that do well with a predictable routine. In Clients’ Homes: I respect each home and follow all instructions carefully. I stick to your dog’s daily routine, including feeding times, walks, medication, crate training, or any special needs. I keep dogs engaged through walks, play, structured downtime, and enrichment tailored to their personality. I also provide updates and photos so you always know how your pets are doing. I have experience caring for high-energy breeds, multi-dog households, and long-term stays, so I’m confident adapting to whatever your pet needs to feel happy and secure.

“Amina was great with our two cats for the weekend. We just added our kitten Boots to the family so we were nervous leaving for a quick weekend trip. Amina was understanding about the introduction process between the two cats that we were going through and made sure everyone was well taken care of and happy.”

This was my first time using Rover and Sierra. Sierra was amazing!! She has an amazing attention to detail and did everything I asked including checking the mail and dealing with our trash cans. I loved her detailed updates after her stops at my house. I felt very comfortable with her taking care of my kitty and will absolutely use her again!! Thanks again Sierra!!

Sierra was so great with my cats - Oscar and Sydney - who are in different life stages, have different levels of activity, and want different affection and attention. Her communication from before the meet and greet, through each daily visits, and after the final visit was wonderful. The daily Rover update cards I received had full details of her visits and multiple pictures, so I never wondered how each cat was doing. We just moved to Excelsior Springs, and both my husband and I had to travel out of town for work unexpectedly. Sierra made the process of finding a new pet sitter a smooth process, and was very flexible with our short notice, accommodating a meet and greet in little time - making us feel comfortable that are cats were in good hands! Thank you, Sierra!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of November 2026, there are 150 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Homestead. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
