About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind, from my family dog to my friend’s dogs with special behavioral needs. My family and friends have relied on me to feed, walk, and give medication to their dogs and cats. I currently work part time at a dance studio for children that is mainly open during the evenings, allowing me to have a flexible schedule during the day for more walks and playtime. I can walk, feed, play with, and give medications to your fur baby to give them the extra love and attention they want during the day.

About: Your dog isn't just a pet—they’re family. As a devoted dog owner myself, I know how hard it can be to step away. I provide attentive, reliable care tailored to your dog’s unique personality, whether they need extra patience, steady structure, or just a calm companion. Safety and peace of mind are my top priorities. I treat every home with complete respect and treat every dog with the same love, vigilance, and gentle care I give my own. You’ll get clear communication and daily updates with photos so you never have to wonder how your pup is doing. Because I have a flexible schedule with dedicated evening and weekend availability, pet care isn't something I squeeze in—it’s a central part of my day. Mornings & Daytime: I keep a predictable daily rhythm, allowing me to stick precisely to your dog’s established feeding, walking, and potbreak schedules without rushing. Evenings & Weekends: My peak availability is during evenings and weekends, making me a reliable choice for dinner feeds, bedtime routines, long weekend walks, or overnight stays when you need to be away. Dedicated Attention: Whether I’m visiting your home or providing house-sitting, your dog receives consistent, undivided care. I plan my routine around their needs to ensure they get plenty of exercise, companionship, and low-stress downtime. In My Home: Friendly Companionship: I have two friendly dogs who love new playmates and a fully fenced-in yard for safe, outdoor play. Flexible Options: If your dog needs crate time for resting or sleeping, I can easily accommodate their usual routine. In Your Home & On Walks: Home Security: I treat your home with total respect—locking up securely, keeping spaces tidy, and following all house rules. Safe Walks: I use your preferred leash/harness setup, stick to secure routes, and monitor pavement conditions to protect sensitive paw pads. Strict Safety: I follow your specific feeding and treat instructions—no unapproved foods, ever. You’ll get regular photo updates so you always know your fur baby is safe, happy, and well-cared for!

About: Diagnosed with allergies in childhood, I didn’t have pets until in my 20s, when I picked a week-old kitten from a litter & raised him. Thelonious used to walk between my shoulders as I moved around the house, and slept in my bed. Friends told me he behaved more like a dog than a cat—very affectionate. We were very close. His death broke my heart & I still miss him. Seven years ago, I did cat-sitting for a friend whose apartment in NYC I stayed in for a summer while working nearby on Varick Street. He was a very easygoing cat. Years later, my stepson left his dogs at our house & I was their primary minder. I fed, walked & played with them every day. Although I’d been around dogs a lot growing up, it’s one thing to be around them & another to be responsible for them & develop relationships with them. Each of the dogs had a very distinct personality, and I found them fascinating. Through those & other experiences with friends’ pets, I’ve found that I’m able to make connections with animals that go beyond words. I never would have imagined such a thing in childhood. These days I do house sitting & drop-ins for clients in Monmouth, Mercer & Middlesex Counties. I’m tending to pets with a wide range of needs & dispositions, and love I give is more than equaled by the love I receive from them. I’m truly humbled & in awe. Professionally, I managed desktop publishing & automated publishing for a Fortune 500 financial firm for 20 years. So I have a long track record of responsibility & discipline. That combination of sensitivity & responsibility are what I bring to pet sitting. I only accept clients living within a 30-minute drive from my home, and my routines at home are easily adaptable to meet my clients’ needs. That means my highly flexible schedule allows me to provide your cat with the consistent time, routine, and attention they deserve while you are gone. I don’t rush my check-ins; I stay the full duration to ensure your pet gets plenty of physical play and mental stimulation. Because my hours are highly adaptable, I can drop in at the exact times your pet expects breakfast, dinner, or treats. I’m happy to take photos during my stay to enable you as the pet owner to feel secure about your pet’s care in your absence. I like to play with & talk to pets, and try to adhere to their normal routines, so they, too, feel comfortable in your absence.

IMolly was great. Very communicative and conscientious. I left her instructions and she followed them perfectly. I was very nervous to leave my senior dog with anyone but Molly was great. She rcommunicated after each walk and took some cute pictures as well. I was able to have fun on my day trip knowing that Molly was there to take care of my dog. I would definitely use her again.

Daniel has been working with my dog for the past few weeks, and I can’t thank him enough. He is always on time, and always messages me before he gets to the house, as well as when he leaves. As soon as he met my dog, I could tell he was trustworthy and a huge dog lover. I always feel secure knowing that he is on the way looking after my pup. Cannot recommend him enough!

About: I have spent years caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and I genuinely love building trust with every pet I meet. Whether it’s an energetic walk, a calming drop-in visit, or simply making sure your pet feels safe while you’re away, I provide dependable, compassionate care tailored to each animal’s needs. My experience includes volunteering with Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter and Stafford Veterinary Hospital, where I worked alongside animal care professionals and gained hands-on experience with dogs of different temperaments, medical needs, and backgrounds. Those experiences taught me how to read canine body language, stay calm in stressful situations, and always put an animal’s comfort and safety first. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision. I’ll treat your dog like family, keep you updated with photos and messages, and make sure they get the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve every visit. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind and make your pet’s day a little brighter. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. I do my best to accept last-minute bookings whenever possible and understand that plans can change unexpectedly. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a long walk, or a drop-in visit while you’re at work or away, I’m committed to providing reliable, consistent care. My goal is to make scheduling easy and ensure your pet receives the attention and companionship they deserve. I believe pets are happiest in the comfort of their own home, where their routine stays familiar and stress is kept to a minimum. During each visit, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, bathroom breaks, and, of course, lots of attention and affection. I take the time to understand your pet’s individual personality and routine, whether they prefer a long walk, a game of fetch, or simply a quiet companion. I treat every home with the same respect I would my own and always follow your instructions carefully. My goal is to keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy while giving you complete peace of mind. You’ll receive regular updates and photos after every visit so you always know how your furry family member is doing.

About: Over the past few years I have been caring for family and friends pets while they are away. I have just fell in love with all the dogs I have meet along the way. I also have spent time walking at a local rescue which has just taught me so much about dogs and how to be around them and work with them on and off the leash. I continue to grow and learn something new from each dog I work with. It’s a great pleasure of mine. I’m a stay at home mom with both my boys off at school during the day so I have plenty of free time to take care of your pets. I offer drop in visit, dog walking and even over night visits in your home. I will care for your pets like I would care for my own. I will give them lots of love and affection with safety being number 1. I am very careful to follow all the owners need and wants when caring for their pets. I love sharing updates and picture with the owners on my visits. I take pride in my work and make sure I am on time for every job. I am careful to lock up behind me and make sure the pets are secure before leaving them. I am very respectful of people’s home and property as well.

About: Hi! My name is Courtney and I have always been known as the animal girl/lady and have worked in just about every part of the pet care industry with pride. I am a former master groomer as well as canine trainer, have worked with thousands of dogs regardless of breed, age, or background and have never met a dog, cat or creature that did not love me as much as I do them❤️ From trimming nails to snuggling up with your pup at night, if you choose me to care for your animals, they become my own and part of my family❤️ when applicable, I also do incorporate training into regular walks and drop ins to make life a more pleasant experience for both our furry family members and us humans! I am also well versed in other species from big to small and am meticulous in my care of all creatures. As a trainer and handler I have also cared for dogs during show days at venues, prepped dogs for the show ring and taken dogs to canine sporting events as well as lessons. Lastly, I’m always quick to snap a great photo of a pup, cat or our other family members looking their best, and always love a good impromptu photoshoot to send you! Overall, I am here to support you and your animals to have and be the best you can be as a team, and look great doing it! I currently have full availability to bring any animals into the Courtney’s Cuddles and Care Family❤️ I work from home making dog apparel and service dog gear, so always open for communication and a drop in! I am always happy to go over each individual pets needs and routines and follow them meticulously, as well as incorporate training and/or grooming as needed! Every animal I have the pleasure of caring for becomes a part of my family and is treated like my own. My service dog, Tsunami, is also an extremely well trained, very neutral dog that I am happy to introduce to others that need friends! She is a rough collie, or as many people recognize, a lassie dog!

About: Hi my name is Micaela and one thing about me is that I adore animals! I love all animals so very much. I also feel that I work really well with them. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life. Most of my dogs have been big dogs so I’m pretty good with handling any challenge that’s thrown my way. I’ve had more aggressive and protective dogs as well as laid back dogs and I’ve loved all. I’ve also worked at local shelters in my hometown and felt that that helped me gain more experience working with varying animals. I trained a couple of my dogs from a young age and though I’m not certified I felt that I did a pretty good job. I’m very patient and very genuine. I also watched my dogs whenever my parents would go on business trips which was quite often so I’d say this is the perfect job for me! I’m a college student but have majority of my classes online so my schedule is pretty clear. I love being outdoors and in nature so dog walking is right up my alley. I also love just chilling at home so I have no problem with that as well. I will always be respectful of others space especially if they are allowing me to stay in their home and watch their animals. I would say I’m a pretty neat person and don’t mind cleaning up if anything is needed. Genuinely it makes me happy to help others around the house if necessary. I used to babysit for a while and would always tidy up when I could find the time. I recently moved and now live with my grandparents and mom. We also have a chocolate lab who’s very energetic and loves to play. We have a fenced in yard and a conservation close to our house so there’s plenty of space for the animals. We love having dogs in the house.

About: I really focus on structure and training not just basic walks and cuddles. I have hands on experience helping dogs with obedience recall and leash manners and I am comfortable following a family’s training plan or reinforcing commands your dog already knows. I especially enjoy working with puppies who need consistency and socialization and I am also happy to give senior dogs gentle walks slower routines and lots of quiet time. What sets me apart is that I treat every dog like a student calm patient and consistent while still making sure they get love play and plenty of mental stimulation. I am happy to send photo and video updates follow your schedule for treats and meds and create a routine that fits your dog’s personality instead of a one size fits all approach. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I am already used to being around dogs and building consistent schedules. I set aside time each day for walks play training reviews and check ins so pet care does not feel like an add on it just slots into my normal rhythm. I am also a student with flexible hours so I can plan walks visits or in home stays around your dog preferred times and your schedule. Treating pets like part of my routine helps me give them steady attention the same kind of structure they are used to at home. I care for pets in my home by giving them a quiet dedicated space where they feel safe, plenty of breaks outside, and regular meals and potty breaks on a schedule. I keep the environment calm and predictable, avoid overstimulation, and follow your instructions for treats, toys, and any training cues your dog already knows. If I am at a client’s home I keep the same routine, making sure your pet gets walks playtime, and cuddle breaks while respecting your house rules. I always check in with you first about anything unusual and send updates so you can feel at ease while you are away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
