About: Ever since I can remember, myself as well as my family have loved and enjoyed dogs and they have always been a part of our family. I got my first puppy when I was 12 years old. She was a rescue and I had her until I was 26 years old. Her name was Molly. We had many other dogs during that time. My sister's and I were who cared for them all. Although this is my first time running a business caring for dogs, I have taken care of dogs most of my life. Some people call themselves a "people person". I call myself a "dog person". I have always had a natural ability to connect with dogs. Dogs have always loved being with me. I care for them as if they were a child of mine. As I always have said, the more I get to know people; the more I love dogs! I'm currently a student at home so, I am available to give your pet my undivided attention. I treat all animals as if they are my own, like family. I love to spend quality time with animals. I also have good hygiene. I believe this is important because we all know how dirty animals can be. I am gentle and loving.

About: I recently took a break from dog sitting to focus on caring for my baby. Now that things have settled into a routine, I'm excited to start accepting bookings again! I have 6+ years dog-sitting experience with dogs of many different sizes and temperaments. Personally I have a 85 pound German Shepherd mix, Turbo, a 40 pound labradoodle, Maple, and an 80 pound Rottie/GSD mix named Tater. I thoroughly enjoy playing with them everyday and have learned many training techniques from raising them. I have a great deal of experience caring for a highly allergic and anxious dog. I understand the helplessness that can often come with trying to find a treatment that works. If your dog has allergies/skin issues, or any other special needs, I'm more than happy to help. Rest assured your dog will be given the love and attention they need to feel comfortable in my home. We do have 1 cat (named Sesame) who would prefer to be left alone. If your dog is very reactive around cats this will not be a good fit. I am a stay- at- home mom and my husband works from home, so we can offer a great amount of flexibility with drop-off and pick-up times. Your dog will be supervised 24/7 when in my care. I have a large (2.3 acre), fully-fenced backyard for optimal play! I have three friendly dogs who would love to show your dog all the best sniff spots. We also love going on walks, playing fetch, taking naps, and playing "find it." I've taken a dog CPR class to better understand the warning signs of a dog in distress, and what actions to take in an emergency. Being a pet parent myself, I greatly understand the peace of mind that comes from knowing your dog is safe and happy. Therefore, I will always send you multiple updates, with photos, every day throughout your dogs stay. Please let me know if you have any questions! I'd love to schedule a meet and greet. I can't wait to meet your pup!

Nazgul and her family were exceptionally warm and attentive with Midnight. From the moment we arrived, I could tell she would settle in quickly and feel at home. Their updates and photos were thoughtful and reassuring, and it was clear she was genuinely cared for. I highly recommend Nazgul and her family to anyone seeking a safe, loving environment for their pet.

Trish and her family are the best. My dog gets all of the love when she is over and comes home exhausted and has happy dreams. Trish is a great communicator and sends fun pics through the day so my work day is that much better. Moving forward, I will be making arrangements for my dog to stay with Trish and fam when I am out of town so that I can travel assured my pup will have all of the love in my absence.

About: Hello! My name is Fidencio, (my family calls me John, and you can too). I am 32 years old and have a long history of caring for dogs in my family. In 2005, my Father rescued a puppy from war torn Iraq. He fell in love with Target, our Iraqi dog, while he was deployed there. I remember my dad calling my mom, begging her to please find a way to get Target home, to California, over 7000 miles away. We went to work as a family finding any possible way to get our small puppy back home. Long story short, because we love animals, we got Target shipped to LAX. Target was what we considered an animal refugee. I remember going on the drive to LAX as a 5th grader to go pick up Target, when I first saw him he was scared, being shipped across the globe and being separated from his owner on the journey. But as soon as we got in the car we broke the crate open, we instantly all fell in love. Dedication to protecting a caring for animals is something that runs deep for me. And opening up our home to do that for others is an honor. I’ve attached some photos of Target, our 1st family dog. Looking at these older photos is such a trip! Blast from the past if you will. My Dad is now retired from the USMC and has a service dog jack, who is pictured above. He loves to play with other dogs and is very friendly. Hope you meet you and your pet soon! I am home full time and will always be there for you and your pet! Can be contacted 24/7 and checkup anytime. I’m just a call away. I care for other pets the same I would care for my own. With love, patience, and care. These things come naturally as an animal lover!

About: I have been taking care of animals for almost 9 years. I have grown up knowing the responsibility of what animals need and how to take care of them. I also truly have a love for animals. I love playing with them. I love being near them, and because I’m so young, I have almost if not more energy to put into the animals. my pets have required special needs and care and knowing that care and experiencing it first hand, I know how to put that learning experiences other situations Currently i’m a high school student so my hours vary. So Monday- Friday i can only walk or care for animals from the times of 5-7am and 3-11pm. The weekends i’m always available and ready to be at your assistance. I love animals so much and always jumping at the opportunity to see one. I have 4 pets of my own and have been carrying the responsibility of keeping them safe for almost ten years. I’ve learned how to keep them safe from other animals and from escaping from home, With this experience in mind i can take what i know and use it with your animals. I know how to crate animals if needed and protected from any outside forces.

About: Was blessed to grow up with dogs and also care for friends' and other peoples' furry family members in our community. My family has a wonderful home and property made for your doggy vacations. They can enjoy both time inside our home as well as the beautiful dog play area outside which is fully gated with coyote rollers, trees for shading, a couple sheds (one w/ AC), and fully turfed. They'll enjoy this area for playing fetch, tug of war, running around, along with just having some relaxation in the safe outdoors. Also, if they like walks, they can enjoy some of our own family walks. Since we homeschool and work from home, we are ready to provide 24 hour care while maintaining your furry family member's normal everyday routine - from when they wake up, eat, play, potty and bedtime. We love to match your normal schedule to provide them with a fun and relaxing time during their vacation at our home. Our goal is to provide a Safe, Fun, and Relaxing time for your furry family member. Whether they'll want to relax in our home or play in our beautiful and safe dog play area outside, their safety and comfort is our priority. While your furry family member is with us, they'll be treated and cared for as one of our own family members. Your furry family member gets to live life with our family as we play, do homeschool, and work all from home. We love having them in the house with us and letting them enjoy basking in the sun on the connected patio in our fully enclosed backyard, or taking them up to our Private Dog Park (steps away from our home and backyard) for another place to run around, play fetch and tug-of-war, or enjoy some shade under a couple beautiful trees. Our family of four will each care for them throughout the day - from waking up in the morning to falling asleep in the evening. From the initial Meet & Greet, we learn about your dog - their routines, how they play, how they like to be petted and scratched, how much and how often they eat and need to go potty, what time they wake up and go to sleep, medications they may need, commands and tricks they know that you'd like us to work on with them, and anything else you feel will make their time with us more relaxing and fun. We then do our best to mirror what you shared with us, so they feel safe and secure, and receive the love, care, and attention that they may need.

About: Your pet will be treated like my own ! I have 10+ years of experience caring for pets and have a genuine love for all animals. In addition to dogs and cats I have also cared for small mammals, reptiles, birds and fish. I recently lost my beloved dog after 18 years so look forward to the opportunity to care for your pet with the same love and care I gave my own. I know it can be stressful to trust someone else to care for your animals and to come into to your home, so I want to make you feel as comfortable as possible by understanding yours and your pet's needs. I also will always send consistent updates to my clients as well as pictures of their pets. My schedule is very flexible and I am able to accommodate most times and days needed. I do not have a set schedule aside from sometimes picking up my son from school so I can easily meet the needs of your pet. I believe in treating a client's home with the utmost respect and care. You will always come home to a clean house and happy pets. I am more than happy to water plants, assist with any home care needs, organization, etc.

Melissa was absolutely wonderful with caring for Biscuit! We were in Temecula for a wedding and she was available from late afternoon to evening. I really appreciated that she was flexible with the late pick up time. Melissa is awesome at keeping me up to date throughout the day care session. It was also great she let my dog roam around to get acclimated to her home and pups. I can’t recommend her services more if you’re in the Temecula area!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 630 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Holcomb Village. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Holcomb Village commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 630 sitters in Holcomb Village, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
