“My pup has been my travel buddy for eight years and there was the first time I had to find her day care in the area I visit often. Kathy took such great care of my pup and I got tons of cute photos. I will definitely book with her again when I go skiing in Tahoe.”

“I recently had the pleasure of using Melissa to care for my dog, Mocha, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Melissa genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. And when she says, “you don’t need a dog bed”, you really don’t! Lol Mocha looked so comfortable and relaxed in her home, which immediately put me at ease. Melissa was incredibly accommodating, addressing all of Mocha's needs and keeping me updated throughout the stay. It's such a relief to know I have a reliable and caring person to leave Mocha with when I'm away. Highly recommend Melissa's services!”

“Luke did an awesome job watching our Mini Aussie! We were in the are for the day skiing at Palisades Tahoe as a stop on our road trip, and Luke helped us out so we could have some time to ski away from the pup. We got updates and videos, and he even took our dog for a long walk. Highly recommend, his training skills are great and super convenient location, great communication.”

“Skyline was very forthcoming and flexible. She gave us different choices for meeting places to save us time and was easy to work with. She also sent us pictures of our dog while we were away. Thank you!”

“Ashley took great care of my dog while I had a ski day! She took him out for a snowshoeing hike and they settled down for cuddles afterwards. Would definitely recommend Ashley as a sitter!”

“Johanna is amazing! I highly recommend booking doggy daycare with her. I’m so grateful she was able to take in my pup on such short notice. My boyfriend and I planned a last-minute day trip to Northstar and desperately needed a sitter since our usual sitter was out of town. We reached out to Johanna the night before and received a response within the hour. She went above and beyond by meeting us at Northstar to pick up my pup, which was such a huge help! My girl is a handful, so I was beyond impressed that she slept the entire 4.5-hour drive home—Johanna definitely made sure she got plenty of exercise! Thank you so much, Johanna ❤️”

“Tasha did an amazing job with Pico! Pico has anxiety and Tasha took extra special care of her. We met with Tasha for a meet and greet and she asked all the right questions. I felt completely comfortable leaving Pico with her. When I picked Pico up I could tell she had been well exercised. I high recomend and I would use Tasha again in the future.”

About: Growing up with dogs my whole life, there has not been a year where we have not had dogs in the house.... meaning we love them! To add to growing up with dogs, I (ambitiously) got a puppy during my senior year of college. This taught me to balance caring for a puppy while excelling in school and enjoying my senior year. This challenge gave me a new insight into putting 100% care into a pet and made my bond grow deeper with my dog, Josie. My family's dog, Molly, is a therapy dog for hospitals and schools allowing me to see the true joy that dogs bring into people's lives. That said, I truly enjoy finding the joy and laughter each dog brings into our home! Working from home, I am truly present to take care of and be attentive to all dogs. There are a few days where I will be unavailable due to travel or subbing at school, but those are blocked off on a weekly basis. Josie and I always start our morning with an activity. Josie loves to go on a morning run, so if your pup is a runner... get ready to join the pack! On the other hand, my family's dog, Molly, loves her walks and play time. We also have a park and great trails in our neighborhood meaning the day is open for adventures. Our condo is in a wonderful area close to the beach with lots of grass and easy access to walking trails. As a home welcome to dogs, we love having them sleep with us but can crate them if that is their safest spot. We have the space to feed dogs separately if needed.
About: I grew up around animals – cats, dogs, and horses. I love animals. I have a little cabin to myself on the Truckee river. Your cat or dog will be a happy camper here with me! :) I work part time as a tennis coach. So I am usually just gone here or there for a 1 hour lesson or clinic. Other than that, I spend a lot of time at home. I will give your animal love and attention, whether they are staying at my house here on the Truckee River, or if I am coming to your home (or apartment).
“Isabelle was such a great host for our dog Jayden. My wife and I traveled to Reno from out of town for an event. Our dog is a 15 year old lab that is mostly blind, mostly deaf and has a few other “old lady” problems. Despite all this Isabelle agreed to watch Jayden for a few hours. Isabelle’s communication before and during Jayden’s stay was exceptional as she kept us updated on how Jayden was doing and sent a few pics as well. Isabelle was also very flexible when we asked if we could drop Jayden off earlier than originally planned. Isabelle is a great dog sitter and made Jayden’s time away from us as comfortable as possible. My wife and I have total trust in Isabelle and will definitely use her again if ever in the area.”

About: Hi! My dog Enzo and I enjoy hiking around Tahoe. I would love to take your fur friend on all of the adventures with us! I usually spend my days off wandering in the woods and playing at the lake. My ideal day may include a morning hike, evening walk, lake sunset, porch relaxing, reading/Netflix at bedtime with dog cuddles. I can offer as much or as little activity as needed, feeding times flexible, house rules flexible (furniture/no furniture, crate/free roaming) depending on your home routines. I would also be more than happy to take care of your pups while you’re out of town. Enzo and I can come to your place, or your dog can stay with us at ours. I work as an emergency room nurse so my shifts are variable, but I have four days off each week. When I am not working, I am able to be with the dogs doing dog adventures all day long! I am often off work for a week at a time. My schedule is variable because I work in health care. When I am not at the hospital working, I can dedicate the whole day to hanging with the pups Dogs will stay in the house with frequent potty breaks. We have a morning and evening walk each day at the very least - most days I try to spend the majority of the day outside with hikes and lake days
About: I’m working remotely in Truckee, CA. I’ve fostered dogs, cats and volunteered at animal shelters all my life. I grew up caring for 3 dogs but have been boarding and sitting dogs for 6 years now (Wag). I’m very active and love walking or running with a dog at my side! I have experience with strong/ “hard to handle” dogs and puppies/kittens as well. I love meeting dogs of all sizes, breeds, and unique personalities! I live in a house with a deck and I’m super close to trails and Donner lake. I do have a lab and a kitty at home. Both are friendly with all animals (big or small) and people. I do take special and high maintenance requests. Thanks! I am home full time so the pups will get my full attention and love! When I wake up I usually go for a walk or run and then work on my laptop at home for around 3 hours, then I’m free the rest of the day! :) My home is always clean, food never left out because Rufus is already on the lookout haha. I’ve been dog walking for many years and have encountered many obstacles when dog walking/sitting and I’ve learned staying alert and giving them love and attention keeps them happy.

I am trained in positive reinforcement methods and force-free handling, which allows me to build strong, trusting relationships with the dogs in my care. In addition to my general dog sitting skills, I have specialized expertise in several areas. For example, I have extensive experience working with senior dogs and am skilled in providing the extra care and attention they require. I am certified in basic obedience and have worked with many dogs to help them learn basic commands, improve their manners, and increase their confidence. This approach is not only more effective, but it is also less stressful for the dog and builds a stronger bond between the dog and the owner. Overall, I am a highly skilled and dedicated dog sitter who is committed to providing the best possible care for your furry friend. Whether you have a young, energetic puppy or a senior dog with special needs, I have the experience, knowledge, and compassion to ensure that they are happy, healthy, and well-cared for while you are away. I am an independent business consultant so work my own days and hours. It allows me all the time to take care of your dog while you are gone. Proper pet care involves providing a safe and comfortable environment, nutritious food and fresh water, regular exercise, and routine veterinary check-ups. At home, this means keeping pets away from harmful substances, ensuring they have a cozy place to sleep, and spending quality time with them. When caring for pets in client's homes, I follow their specific instructions while ensuring basic needs are met. I also observe and report any changes in the pet's behavior or health to the owner. Overall, responsible pet care fosters a strong bond between the pet and caregiver, promoting the pet's well-being and happiness.
