“Once again, Lorelei provided great care for our little Chihuahua, Odin. We had to extend his stay. We've used her multiple times. Very happy each time. A warm family environment. A highly recommend her.”

“Awesome pet sitter, treated our pup like his own. Great communication and very inviting. Our pup didn’t want to leave. Definitely top tier pet sitter he’s worth the money!”

“Stacey took excellent care of my golden and kept me updated with photos and messages throughout the stay. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my pup was happy, safe, and well-loved, and playing with her adorable goldens! I would absolutely book with Stacey again and highly recommend her to other pet parents!”

“It was our first time leaving our newly adopted pup with a rover sitter and I’m so glad we went with Kyah! She’s been very understanding and accommodating and our dog felt it too. :) He quickly bonded to them and their pup, I got frequent updates, it was a very nice experience. The next stay is already booked. :)”

“Finding James on Rover was the easiest part of our vacation. James loves animals, he watched our dog and cat. Our cat has a special diet and needs daily medicine. He took excellent care of our pets and sent us daily pictures of them along with updates on how they were doing. He is quick with communication and responded promptly. If you are looking for a sitter for your beloved pet, James is the best. You won't be disappointed.”

“Maria is amazing!!! The warmest person with the best vibes. I felt so comfortable leaving my Poppy there with her and the little ones. She fit right in and I wasn’t anxious or worried about her at all while I was away. I have found my new “forever home” away from home for my little miss ?”

“This was Shadow's second stay with Jenn and he was so excited upon arrival I don't think he noticed when I left. I got plenty of pictures and updates and Shadow look like he's having a great time. I highly recommend Jenn.”

“Sheena provided a caring and attentive environment for my dog. She sent photos to me during the trip so I could see that my pooch was doing well. Sheena is clearly a dog lover and took the time to do a "meet and greet" at the dog park one day--so we could see if our two dogs would get along. She also allowed me to bring my dog over to our place before my trip so he could sniff around and get a feel for where he would be staying.”

“Mike was great at communicating leading up to and during the boarding. Our dog Frankie warmed up to Mike and his wife Sherri very quickly. She got lots of exercise and was in such a happy mood when we picked her up. We were very happy to meet Mike and will be excited to have Frankie visit again.”

“Always a fantastic time. Milo adores Luisa and her family. He’s loved, entertained, and cared for with flair. I totally recommend her if you’re looking for an amazing sitter.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for four years and absolutely love caring for dogs. Having two dogs of my own has taught me how important it is to give pets plenty of love, attention, patience, and care. I also understand how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else because I’ve been in that position myself. I know how important it is to feel comfortable and trust the person caring for your pet. I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m a stay at home wife, so I’m home most of the day and have plenty of time to care for your pup. I’m available for boarding, playtime, walks, feeding, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I can also keep your dog’s normal routine as much as possible so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play and get some fresh air. I also have two friendly dogs of my own who love having company. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet with someone, so I’ll make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and cared for. I’m happy to follow your instructions, routines, and any special needs your dog may have.
“Melissa and her family were wonderful caring for our rambunctious dog Opal. Opal had a great time while we were away, and we will definitely use Melissa for any future sitting needs. :-)”

“Our dog Bourbon stayed with Julie for 3 weeks while we were on vacation. Julie has been so great with Bourbon during his whole stay and we were able to enjoy our vacation without having to worry about him. We got constant update from Julie about Bourbon and we knew that Bourbon was in good hand. There was no other dog during that time at her place so we knew that Bourbon was getting full attention from Julie all the time. We are very satisfied with her care and would recommend her for anyone who needs someone to take care of their dog.”

“Marden was highly responsive, sent frequent updates, and ensured that all instructions were followed when it came to Kai’s stay! Kai had a blast and is looking forward to his next visit!”

“Gae and her husband Steve were absolutely amazing with our pets, Romero (dog) and Luna (cat). As soon as we walked in the door, our sensitive little rescue dog gravitated towards them immediately. My husband and I were completely thrilled, and a little shocked to be honest, at how easily Romero transitioned into their care. I think he could tell these were loving and gentle souls and he was safe. Luna was also super comfortable in their home and spent her time watching nature from the top porch. We went on vacation without any worries and that was a comforting feeling for us. When you meet Gae and her husband, you instantly know these are great people. I would recommend Gae as a pet sitter and will definitely reach out if we need pet care again!”

“My Maltipoo 6month old puppy was well adored and cared for overnight. He enjoyed Lena and her family, including her very nice dog. We look forward to him staying over again! Thank you Lena!”
“Samantha was totally great with Fergus and the pups played so well together- tons of pictures and updates. We’re looking forward to our next stay with Samantha and team! ❤️”

“Ana and her family are incredibly caring and understanding, even when we ran into some issues with our older dog. I’d recommend her to anyone! Thanks so much!”

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
92% of sitters in Hite Center can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hite Center home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hite Center.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Hite Center sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
