“Lori is awesome. She watched our senior dog and our 2-year-old dog in our home for a week-long trip. She communicated very well and sent tons of pictures. She gave medications to our senior dog (who requires a lot of patience) and kept our younger dog well exercised. When our flight home got delayed, Lori was super understanding and flexible during the uncertainty. Our house was spotless when we got home. Lori is a true professional and we'd recommend her without hesitation. Thank you, Lori, for giving us peace of mind while we were away.”

“super responsive and wonderful with our pup!”

About: As a psychiatric nurse, I offer gentle, attentive care to people in vulnerable moments. I bring the same calm, respectful presence to the pets I care for. Their feelings and situations are accounted for while I tend to their personal needs. I work part-time on an as needed basis and can work around the schedules of my clients. Available on short notice, including nights, and 12-24 hours' notice is preferred. I have a lightly fenced yard and two friendly dogs. A canine guest may be offered crating for sleep, or they are welcome to bring their own bed. Must be cat friendly. If caring for a pet in a client's home, care will be provided in their own environment precisely as they are used to.

“Hayley is AMAZING!! One of my cats is very social and the other is shy. She got BOTH of them playing, brushed them, and made sure they knew they were loved on top of the bare minimum of feeding them and giving my old lady her meds. She even checked to make sure my hamster was still breathing while I was away since it was always during my hamster’s sleep time that she was there. Highly recommend. Will be using again if I ever am going away and she is available”

“Maggie did a terrific job with our 5 mo. old Westie, Archie! She came at the last minute when our original sitter did not show up. She said she enjoyed meeting Archie and that he was always near her. She was patient with a feisty, semi house trained pup from Wed. afternoon till Friday a.m. She really accommodated us at the last minute so we could get away as planned. She sent us updates and photos and reassured us that though we were leaving Archie for the first time, he was well taken care of. We will ask her to be Archie's sitter again. Thank you, Maggie!”

“Carter was very attentive to the needs of my anxious pup. He was on time and reliable and contacted me with questions. I highly recommend Carter as a pet sitter.”

“Stacie was terrific! It's very obvious she is in-tune with creatures and Sam seemed to be instantly comfortable with her. Going away is much easier when we know both house and Sam are in good hands.”

“Kiersten is very easy to communicate with and took great care of my dog, Luna. She sent me lots of pictures of their time together and was very flexible when our plans changed. I would definitely hire her again.”

“Emily immediately connected with Frankie, kept him calm and happy in a new setting (we were traveling for a wedding). I’d hire her again in a heartbeat when I’m next in the area. She even gave him an insulin shot which she’d never done before! Top notch sitter.”

“great communication, so sweet, would definitely hire again!!! i felt very confident meeko was well taken care of while i was gone as he has separation anxiety”

“Deanna is absolutely wonderful! She has such a warm, calm energy which is an ideal for animal care. I never have to worry when I leave my dog as she is very equipped to deal with anything that may arise. My dog becomes very relaxed in her care. I will continue to schedule house sitting with Deanna moving forward without a doubt.”

About: Growing up in Vermont on a farm, I have been exposed to animals my entire life. I have been taking care of family and friends dogs, horses, cats, guinea pigs, camels (yes, camels) since I was allowed to leave the driveway on my bike as a child. Since leaving high school I took on a professional equestrian career with Wichita riding academy working with rehabilitating abused/ off the track race horses. I have just recently moved to Denver with a fenced in yard and lots of space. I have a dog of my own that is my entire pride and joy who loves spending time with other dogs. Having a fenced in yard, it’s very helpful and handy to those pups with bladder issues to go in and out of the house as needed. My home was completely childproof when I moved in and it’s so far worked for dogs as well. Huge open field located next to the house available for dogs who like to run as well.

Elias V.
“Eli has spent a lot of time with my dogs. He shows them so much love, immediately getting on the floor to greet the puppy playfully, and responding to the older dog with belly rubs and affection. Eli demonstrates an understanding of dog behavior and development such as positively redirecting the teething puppy with chew toys. He is responsible and timely, showing up when he says that he will. I trust Eli with my dogs not only because of the observable interactions, but also because he genuinely loves my dogs. I highly recommend Eli as a responsible, experienced caregiver for dogs.”

Theresa was prompt, communicative, and pleasant and willing to help me out with very little advance notice. No drama or any question that my dog would be safe and happy. And she was! Highly recommend that you reach out to Theresa!!
taylor was so sweet to me and meeko! communicative and easy going, and was flexible with me about getting back home early. my dog has a lot of anxiety and he seemed to really be comfortable with her. highly recommend!

Haley did an amazing job taking care of our 4 cats for two weeks. Frequent updates and went above and beyond a some points. Thank you!

I was in a pinch - our most recent dog sitter was not available during the dates we needed. We've had all sorts of dog/house sitters over the years, and I found myself stuck. So I turned to rover.com. Having never used it before I was a little nervous. While I found success meeting my husband 18 years ago on a dating website, I was nervous to return to the internet to find a random person to stay in our home. Amelia's name came up first on the first day I joined rover, and I read her reviews which showed glowing reports. I was excited. But given her reviews I was afraid she would be popularly used and unavailable. So I scoured other folks reviews as well. None of the others seemed to live up to her reviews. So I pinged her and she was available. She came and met with the dogs, and spent some time getting to know us and our home, and then a week later we were gone for 9 days. We got regular notifications with questions if anything was needed, but often times updates - like, the night my dogs met a frog, or how my boxer loves to try to chase the rabbits. Also messages of concern, as one of my animals gets separation frustration (not anxiety), so he was doing big piddles in the house; She was concerned there could be an issue and after some communication back and forth we all agreed despite her best efforts he was just being ornery and sad. Each message and collaborative response thread just made us feel even better about her care of the animals and the house. I felt very bad the night of a big storm and power went out for about 7 hours as we do not have a generator, but she was a trooper and plowed through it. I came home to happy dogs, and a clean house, that didn't smell like a barn (bad experience with another house sitter, so I am always a little worried). Her ample life experience around animals, as well as her professional experience and general appreciation and professionalism made it for a great experience. I would highly recommend her, and we will seek using her again if we have future need.
