About: Dogs have become a part of my life since I met my partner in 2014, and since then I've been invested in making sure that every furbaby of mine lives the best life they can. I give them the as much variation in stimulation as I can, including playing, nosework, mind games, physical activity, and simply just letting them sniff to their snout's content on our walks. I can also go over obedience training (we got our current dog when he was 2 months old, after all). I work part-time as a landscaper, so I have plenty of flexibility to accommodate your pet's needs. I just need a heads up, and so I should be able to make it happen. I always walk with a leash since I'm concerned about potential reactivity, lack of puppy stage socialization, other safety issues and recall...etc. and as such I always try to keep my distance from other dogwalkers, unless both parties are sure that all dogs involved are "friendly." I'll step aside for just people as well, depending on the dog I'm walking. I believe Leave It, Drop It, and Give are the most important commands you can teach your dog. I always pick up after them.

About: I have cared for dogs nearly all of my life. From puppies to senior dogs, big and small, I know every dog is different and needs someone to tune in to their needs and wants. I have pet-sit professionally for decades and have my own dogs as well. I am currently pursuing dog care as a full-time passion project. I hope to expand my offerings soon to meet clients’ needs in regards to grooming and boarding. I have personally entered hundreds of client families’ homes (different professional capacity) over the past two decades without a single concern or breach of trust. I have the utmost respect for your dog(s) and in maintaining the privacy of your home.

About: I grew up on a family farm with a wide range of family dogs. I have experience with small all the way up to extra large dogs. I’ve taken care of neighbors and friends animals when they’ve gone away or needed extra assistance. I’m familiar with crate training and puppy training so if either are needed while taking care of your little one in your home I’m more than happy to oblige. I was previously a husky, Australian shepherd and heeler owner that have since passed on from old age/health issues. I grew up with labs and Great Pyrenees on the farm. I currently do not have a dog because I don’t personally want my pup to live in a restricted apartment. Once I am able to purchase a house, I’ll have pets again ♥️ I currently drive Medicare/Medicaid patients all around Vermont and New Hampshire for work. So although my schedule varies on a weekly basis, I am almost always free on the weekends as well as after work to take care of your pets! Although I currently do not have a fenced in yard, we have a small open yard and plenty of sidewalk to go for a nice walk on.

About: I have owned animals my entire life, so taking care of them and giving them love is second nature. I currently have one cat of my own and am in training at the Dakin Humane Society for cat care. I love taking care of friends pets, and figured I’d help out others, too. I prefer to do drop in’s in the morning before work and the evening after work. I live in the Greenfield area and work in Amherst, so those areas are ideal. I clean litter boxes daily and am happy to help give pets medication. I have learned to adapt to different animal behaviors and will do my best to make your pet feel loved while you’re away!

About: i’ve always had dogs growing up. I used to walk and bath dogs in middle school and once I became 16 I’ve only had jobs with dogs. I have experience with special needs dogs, old dogs, young dogs, and puppies. i’ve always been reliable and will go above and beyond for every dog. I’m available for dog walking and drop-in’s Monday/Tuesday anytime of day. Wednesday-Saturday before 8:30 am or after 6pm. In addition I’m also available for holidays! I’m able to follow your instructions, scoop yards, crate dogs, play outside, and refresh waters, and make sure your house is 100% secure before I leave. For non fenced in yards I prefer to use a slip lead if you don’t have a martingale collar or chain collar.

Kiersten takes time to check their bodies for insects, cuts, growths, etc. Kiersten is willing to assist when the dogs nails need cutting or will bathe the dogs when needed. Kiersten enjoys walking our dogs and guides them to keep them safe.”

About: When I lived in my grandmothers house I would frequently house sit for relatives that rented out the bottom apartment. They have 2 senior dogs that needed a little extra attention and love, and a few house plants. I took care of them roughly 4 or 5 times over the years (not consecutively, so not quite an entire year of experience) so that their moms could go on vacation and recover from hospital stays. Since then, I have gone on to get a job at a Doggie Daycare facility out near Boston, where I am continuing to learn more about dog behavior and health. At my job we are trained on safety procedures & health concerns to be on the lookout for, and I have been trained to watch for body language changes. I am currently looking for something to fill my time during the beginning of the week. On weekends and later on in the week I commute to Boston for my job at the doggie daycare. I am also flexible with my weekend dates, so with enough notice I can move almost anything around. I can easily crate a dog if needed for safety of any kind. My position at the daycare is to constantly be on the lookout for changes in behavior and mood, so you can entrust that I will always have your pups safety as priority number one. I am also well versed in being able to reward the good behavior and ignore the bad (within reason) so as not to encourage attention seeking behavior, but still reward even the simplest well done tasks (sitting down/relaxing, playing safely).
