“Izabela was fantastic. 10 stars, not 5! She is kind, patient, communicative and loved our dog, Brady! Our air conditioning went out over the weekend when she was there, and she was a trooper working through all of it. Can't say enough good things about her. Already hired her again for this week!!!”

“For a first time customer, Stephanie did a great job with my 2 dogs. They were very happy when I got home which shows they got great care and attention. I have already recommended her and will use her services in the future as I have trips coming up.”

“The service that Candace provided for my animals was beyond impressive and professional. This was my first time ever using a pet sitter and I believe that we will continue to use Candace in the future. My girls were treated like royalty and my foster kittens didn't even realize I wasn't there. I was nervous about leaving my new puppy, only three months old, but Candace did a great job reinforcing what she has already been taught. She also sent me multiple pictures and videos of my animals while I was away, in addition to sending me several daily updates. I would definitely recommend Candace to anyone who needs a pet sitter.”
“Isabel was an absolute delight! I was a little nervous booking with someone new, but the moment she came over to meet our dogs, I felt completely at ease. She kept us updated throughout our trip and sent plenty of photos. It was clear they were getting lots of love and attention—when we got home, they were relaxed and happy, so I knew they’d been well cared for. She will be my first call the next time I need someone to watch my boys.”

“Cathryn was great! She took amazing care of our pup, making her treats and taking her out on long walks. We were so nervous to leave her, but felt so much better with Cathryn’s constant communication and frequent photos! The house was super clean and our girl was so happy. We got more photos of our pup from her than anyone who has ever watched our dog, which was such a highlight on our vacation. Thank you so much, Cathryn!”

“Shannon is a godsend. She has been SO AMAZING with my pup. Not only did he take to her quickly, but she is thorough and communicative and kept me constantly updated throughout the stay. I’m so happy I found her and will be booking again for sure!!”

“Devan was an absolute treat to work with. From our first interaction on Rover I had a good feeling about her. During our interview my little girls were just so comfortable with her. While i was away Devan gave me constant updates to quell any anxiety. My experience with Devan was a wry nice one. I would quickly recommend Devan to care for your loved ones.”
“This was our first time using someone who we didn’t know to care for our baby. Upon meeting Vianca, she was so friendly and kind. She listened and understood our pets needs & followed them perfectly. She sent photos throughout the evening and kept us updated. I couldn’t recommend her enough! We will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Maysa was very good. She kept in contact with me daily, sent pictures and a video. Very nice lady. One thing she doesn’t speak English too well but that was a problem at all.”

“Sara was fantastic! She was responsible, responsive and very prompt with her communication. Both dogs were very comfortable with her - even our picky boy Tucker! We would recommend her and plan on hiring her again.”

About: I am currently in school for vet med and I work at K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel, I just can’t get enough animals in my life! I have had all sorts of pets growing up and my passion for their care runs deep!! I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting since early middle school!! I am still a student and I am in class Tues-Fri, 9-1. My work schedule can fluctuate but I only work 3 days a week, usually Sat, Sun, and Wed. Mondays I am fully free! I live in an apartment and have 2 friendly cats, but if that is an issue for your pet, they can easily be securely separated. If you are uncertain about spacing or anything else, I am more than happy to come to you! If your pet needs exercise, I’m the right person to call!!
About: I lived my entire life with at least one Maltese in the house, so I know a thing or two about how those fur babies tick. That knowledge has come to span across numerous dog breeds, especially those teeny tinier guys! I’ve walked, bathed, fed, watered, and played with my own little dogs, my friend’s little dogs, and my friend’s friend’s little dogs. Yours will always be in good hands as long as I’m around :) I’m working part time and heading back to school next year, so for the time being, I have a lot of time to hang out with your furry children! My work schedule varies week to week, but I’m typically off no later than 5:00. Message me to see my availability, until further notice! Pets in my home are always within eyeshot. I make it a point to ensure all cords and choking hazards are put away (as I have a small kitten who would get into them otherwise). Any visits to the balcony are entirely supervised, and I even keep a small playpen to take outside should a pet need it. As for home care, my aim for safety doesn’t change even at your place. I will ensure nothing is around for your pet to get into, and follow any additional instructions to a T (such as crating, keeping animals separate, etc.)
About: I’ve been a dog owner for over then years and have been providing care for dogs and cats for the past two years. I’m friendly, attentive, and love staying active so If your pet needs high-energy walks or outdoor adventures, we’ll have a great time together. I also offer last minute accommodations as I work 2 minutes away and can check in on your pets at anytime! Part time on the weekdays but can easily check in on pets. Full day availability Friday through Sundays. I can accommodate late pick ups or next days. I live in an apartment so ideally you’re pet is small and needs loving tender care in a small space. Ready and willing to be able to give multiple walks. Potty training is not required.

“Excellent experience with Nicole! Very flexible and accommodating with our plans. She kept in touch and updated us through the day. Bridget was very comfortable and loved on.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats since I was 5 years old, I pet sit for neighbors all the time, and have volunteered at humane societies to help out, I want to make sure your pets get the proper care they need! I’m currently working part time as a barista and am studying Theatre in college! My schedule is good for drop ins, dog walking, and some over night stays throughout the day depending on classes and work. I usually have work in late afternoon, so as long as you message me it should be easy to work around! When sitting for your pet, if you have any special instructions about letting them outside, and what they are allowed to be fed I will make sure they get the proper schedule they need and are used to!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hillsboro Beach
Bruce is great. My Great Dane is very sweet and fun but he’s a giant energetic handful and Bruce is up to the task! He stayed at my house and he even took him to the dog park regularly which is not easy ( though it’s fun). Bruce is communicative and trustworthy. I highly recommend him.

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT! would highly recommend Sheena. This was the very first time I left my two babies with someone I didn’t know, which was incredibly difficult for me. I usually travel alone, but after recently getting engaged, my fiancé and I decided to spend two weeks in Europe over Christmas. Inviting someone into my home and trusting them with my dogs—who truly are my babies—was extremely nerve-racking. I met with Sheena about a month and a half before our trip to make sure the dogs were comfortable, and they immediately took to her. That alone gave me peace of mind. Sheena house-sat for two weeks and went above and beyond in every way. She rarely left the home, ensured my dogs were always well cared for, and provided consistent updates throughout the day. When we returned, my home was left in immaculate condition—honestly better than I expected. I don’t trust easily, so this was a big step for me, but Sheena exceeded all expectations. I would absolutely recommend her and will be using her again for all future travels.

Kailee was so wonderful with our animals. She communicated very well and I could see they all felt very comfortable with her. She was even able to get my three very scared kitties to come out of their hiding spots. I would 100% recommend Kailee for all of your pet-sitting needs!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hillsboro Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hillsboro Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hillsboro Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hillsboro Beach. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
