“First booking with Emily and was a great experience. She took care of my cat while I was away for a week and she administered medication as directed and helped my cat with his constipation. I appreciate she also sent photos of my cat so I could know how he was doing. She was also responsive to texts regarding the visits.”

“Sarah was great with our 2 kitties and was wonderful at helping to problem solve when one of them was struggling to adjust to us being gone. I would highly recommend her and definitely book again!”

“Susana was fantastic! Beforehand, she came over for a meet and greet and was great with our dog and cat. They were well cared for the day of the drop-in and she took great care of our senior dog and her medication needs. We are absolutely looking forward to being repeat clients.”

About: I've loved animals ever since I was a little kid. I grew up with dogs and have 3 senior rescues at home who still act like puppies. In 2020 I began my journey with cats when I adopted my rescue cat Pams. She is now 6 years old and still thriving alongside my dogs and her new kitten brother. I am comfortable taking care of animals in any age group, and can administer medication, bottle feed, or whatever else your fur baby needs. I try my best to help animals in any way I can, and was able to TNRV all the strays in my neighborhood this year! I look forward to meeting you!! Services Offered: Dog Walking House Drop-Ins House Sitting ** For your pets safety, dog walking will only be offered early mornings/evenings unless your fur baby has pet shoes to keep their paw pads safe from heat! I work full time but have full availability Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays! If you need me for a full weekend reach out and I will gladly work something out. As a house-sitter I will ensure to respect your home, and your pet's routines. I will provide your pet with walks/playtime and ensure I provide a safe comfortable enviroment for them while you're away. I will also send as many update pictures as you'd like to ensure you feel comfortable leaving your fur baby in my care.
“The nicest and most respectful young man! Showed up 5 minutes early and was very understanding to my pets specific needs. Would recommend to everyone who needs a pet or house sitter!”

About: I have been caring for dogs for most of my life and have 3 years of experience pet sitting for friends, family and community members. I have experience with various dog breeds at all different life stages, all with widely varying needs. I truly love connecting with, being with and caring for animals and derive great satisfaction from developing loving relationships with furry friends. With me, you can rest assured that your loved ones are taken care of with attentiveness, kindness and reverence. I work part-time and am typically unavailable from 1-6pm Monday-Friday. Outside of that time I am happy to be with and care for your loved ones! I only pet-sit in other's homes due to having my own pets. I love people just as much as animals, and as such, do my best to respect other's space, property and boundaries. I abide by campground rules in life meaning I do my best to always leave a space just as I found it, if not better off. I believe communication is very important and I like to connect with clients to discuss all expectations and boundaries in regard to both their animals and their home.

“Booked Ellie for a check in while we were out, and she did great. I’m sure if my pups could talk, they would agree! I was a tad bit nervous as it would be the first time she would be checking in without us present and everything went smoothly. Ellie sent us updates and pictures, which we love!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was born. I’ve been raised with them and i’ve always seen how they can positively affect the mental state of those around. Therefore, i’d love to get any chance I get, to take care and love other animals just as much as I love my own! I am available majority of the days in the evening past 3:30. Weekends and Friday for the most part are basically fully opened. I just work my schedule around school and sports. At the moment I take care of my 2 dogs and cat inside of a town house. Therefore I do not have access to a yard so I walk them all together. I walk them every 2-3 hours and feed them in the morning and night with a mid day snack. For stimulation for the pets i’ve taught them how to use speaking buttons and I give them treat puzzles when giving their midday snack.
“Air was available at the last minute; I booked her less than 48 hours before the first visit and she happily took the job. She showed up on time each day and provided pics as requested. Very happy with her.”

About: From as far back as I can remember I have loved animals of all kinds. My experience with taking care of them goes back equally as far. Throughout the years I have been a manager at Petco, a pet parent many times, a shelter volunteer, and now I have evolved into rescue transport. In 2003 I started FunnyBunnies Pet Sitting & Dog Walking, which has operated in Colorado, Hawaii and now California, and I have loved every minute of it. I have experience with every life stage, am honest, as well as loving and dependable. I will keep your furbabies happy while you are away, and I will be giving you regular updates. I have references you may call if you do so wish. I appreciate all consideration.
“Tony did a great job with our dog and we would absolutely book with him again. He was very kind, clearly loves animals, and made us feel really comfortable leaving our dog in his care. Communication was excellent and he was quick to respond and kept us updated, which we really appreciated. He also left our place well taken care of. Overall, we had a really positive experience and we’d highly recommend Tony to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

I am currently only in school part time online. I have free time everyday during the week as long as I get a heads up! I have a fenced in yard, grass, play areas. “Iselle provided good care to my two Huskies. She was prompt and right on task. I very much appreciated her attentive and loving care because one of them is a senior dog and he needs a bit more time to be taken care of. I strongly recommend her, especially if you have a senior dog, or a dog who need more attention.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Highland. On Rover:

- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
