Amanda was very communicative, she would constantly send me pictures and give multiple updates through out the day. She cleaned and helped heal his eye when he had a small scratch. She had very open availability to work with my schedule, we had no problems. My dog was very happy through the entire time she was caring for him and would hire her again in the future, hopefully she would accept it. Thanks Amanda.

This was Chewy's first night with Kodi and he was so comfortable!! Chewy didn't complain not one time, ate his food right away, and enjoyed spending time with her. Chewy also loves smelling the flowers in her yard and taking his nap on the mini couch 🤣

About: Hi! I’ve been caring for dogs for over 3 years and treat every pup like family. I’m experienced with females in heat, regular potty routines, and providing a balance of indoor comfort and outdoor playtime. I’m home full-time Monday–Friday and provide constant supervision. I only step out briefly (about 15 minutes) for school drop-offs and pick-ups, and I monitor pets during that time with a Furbo camera. Weekend boarding is available with advance notice! My home is cage-free with supervised free roam, but I’m happy to accommodate crates or specific care needs if that’s what your dog is used to. I also offer baths during their stay if needed. I have two friendly female Frenchies who love making new playmates, and I can also keep dogs separated if preferred. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priority!

Kelly was a fantastic sitter. She was available for me last minute and was very gracious and kind. She treated both of my dogs very well and I had no concerns during my time away. If you have the opportunity you should book with Kelly! I know I will the next time I need a dog sitter. Thank you Kelly!!

Melissa is amazing. My puppy has been skittish ever since I got her from the shelter and she gets nervous around people and other dogs but she warmed up quickly to Melissa. Melissa is super sweet and dogs know that. My puppy Wednesday loves playing with her cute dogs she has. I love all the updates I get and love how patient Melissa is. Melissa is awesome because I had to book a last minute booking and she was able to take my puppy in. If I could give 10 stars I for sure would. Thank you so much Melissa ❤️❤️

This is our second time using Patti and won’t be our last! She took excellent care of our puppy, Sophie, while we were gone for a week. Patti is easy to communicate with and sends lots of updates and photos which we appreciate. Sophie has allergies and Patti made sure to keep her on the foods okayed by our vet and administer an additional supplement. She also helped Sophie get comfortable sleeping in her crate again after she had been struggling with it for a couple weeks. Our puppy gets along great with Patti’s dogs and cat and the other dogs in her care. We highly recommend Patti!

She had many cat toys and cat apparatus that they had fun with. They seemed to be very comfortable with her right from the start. I would definitely employ Diamond's services again.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for 14 years, and have experience in basic dog training. I also can wash, and cut nails. I am also experienced in administering medicine (such as pills and ear ointment) and im super affectionate :). Booking day care and sitting with me also includes 24/7 access to dog cameras, so any parents can check on their pup ♥️ I am home majority of the day, I am able to give your pet attention and quality play time and frequent breaks throughout the day. Every once and a while 1-2 friends will stop by briefly, but that’s for 2-3 hours max. I am good at updating my clients their condition of their pup. I also have a fenced yard, and ample time dedicated to your pet. Pet owners that book with me also get special access to doggie cameras to check on their pet’s welfare.

As of June 2026, there are 1,623 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Highland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

97% of Highland sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Highland landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Highland home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Highland.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Highland sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
