“Gracie did a wonderful job watching our 7 cats. Some of the cats loved to see people and some of them are very shy. We could tell by the photos we got ever day that she was trying to entice the shy ones out by moving their food bowels closer to where they like to hide. She kept the cat dishes and litter boxes clean and tidy. In addition, she brough in the mail and took out the garbage while we were away. We would highly recommend Gracie to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“Deborah was incredibly amazing!!! Super sweet and attentive with great communication !! She went above and beyond taking care of my babies especially my Luna that had special meds to take! The attention to detail and all her efforts are very much appreciated!!! Definitely will rebook for the future!!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was a little anxious about the process but Kat was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable. She was very thorough with what took place at her drop ins and sent us lots of pictures of our fur babies while we were away. She really went above and beyond!”

“I have to leave a rave review regarding Sam. Her care for my dogs while we were on vacation was spot on. Not only did she communicate promptly and was sure to clarify any questions she had but also went above and beyond. She brought in a package, made sure to clean up and wash the dog bowls and washed the dishes she used to feed the dogs. She took the time to work with my quirky and shy dog without intimidating her. I thoroughly enjoyed the pics she sent of all the scratches and attention they got while she was here. I hate leaving them to go away but if I do I know they are in good hands with Sam.”

About: For as long as I can remember, there has always been animals in my house, but the last 13 years are where my real growth has happened for me as a pet parent and carer. In my own home, there’s always been a variety from dogs to hedgehogs to cats to lizards. I have often found myself as a haven for wayward creatures in need of respite. I have experience caring for, raising, and training puppies as well as caring for senior dogs. I work full time as a teacher but I am often around on the weekends and evenings and am happy and able to make pets a part of my routine! Any space I am in is always treated with the upmost respect— I don’t touch what isn’t mine, I don’t touch what I don’t need to. Integrity and honesty are paramount. If there is an issue with anything, I of course will be upfront about it, as that is what I would expect and want from anyone in my home. Trusting me to come into your home is a big deal, and I would never want to jeopardize your peace of mind.
“She was absolutely fantastic. Sent pictures, checked in regularly, she even did extras like brought in our empty trash can from the road and checked on our chickens. We may actually go on vacation more now that we know she’s an option for us!! Would book again 10/10”

About: My family had dogs for the majority of my life, and I was often the one tasked of taking care of them. I bathed, fed, took them to the vet, and walked them. They were all elderly dogs, so they have sadly passed away. Their names were Peanut, Waddlesworth, and Snickers. I’m currently a proud cat owner (or her servant, if you ask her) of Luna. I found her under my car when she was a kitten 3 years ago and she’s been with me since. Currently working a summer temp job at the University of Florida, but that will end at the start of September. My schedule is flexible outside of classes, which are for just over an hour a day Monday thru Thursday. I can cater my caretaking skills to your needs. Whether your dog needs walks every hour or twice a day, I can do it all.

About: I've cared for cats and dogs for years. I came from an animal-loving family, we got our first dog when I was 7, and now at home I have two cats and one dog of my own, so I understand how much routine and a calm, familiar presence matter to pets while their owner is away. I also consistently take care of my brother and sister-in-law's eight cats whenever they're on vacation, so multi-cat households and individual routines are second nature to me. Beyond my own household, I also volunteer with cat rescues. I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and treat every cat's home and routine with the same care I give my own. I'm currently working from home, and my work is mostly project based, so I'll have plenty of time to pop in and check on your pets. I offer drop-in visits on weekends and weekdays. I'm happy to work around your pet's usual routine — feeding times, play times, or medication schedules. I can also do multiple visits a day if your pet needs more frequent check-ins. For drop-in visits, I'll come to your home to care for your pet in their own familiar environment. I have experience with dogs and cats, including regular care of my own pets and cat-sitting for family. I'm attentive to safety details like secure doors and gates, and I always follow any specific instructions you leave for feeding, medication, or house rules.
“Last minute we decided we did not want to use a kennel to board Misty and turned to Rover very last minute. We found Emily and she responded immediately and agreed to take care of our 1 year old Lab who is very high energy loving everyone with overwhelming enthusiasm. She was timely and communicated her interactions with Misty putting our worries to rest allowing us to enjoy our day. We will continue to ask her to watch our girl when there is a need.”

“Kim is absolutely wonderful as a cat sitter. She watched over our 2 cats while were gone and played with them and took care of their needs. I honestly recommend Kim as an honest and loving cat sitter.”

“She did a fantastic job taking care of my puppy during the drop in visits. She was attentive, followed all instructions and made sure my puppy was safe and well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend again”

“Lindsay did a great job taking care of my cat. She even offered to make an extra trip to bring in a Amazon package. She provided lots of photos and updates in the Rover Card which helped put me at ease with my anxious kitty. My cat came out on the first day Lindsay stopped in which means she must have made her feel safe. :)”

“Morgan took excellent care of our pup Wiley for a whole month while we were away. So glad to have her care for our fur baby 😊 I highly recommend Morgan for anyone who needs someone to help care for their pets!”

During this time I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs from big and small, energetic and calm, and confident or more on the nervous side. I’ve learned the best way to approach every type of dog and how to meet their needs. I go to college and work part time but I have breaks making it easy to stop by and assist your babies. I am in Gainesville full time and have a vehicle making it easy to get around town. I have a passion for approaching animals with love and patience. I think first impressions with animals are extremely important. I always want to make the interactions fun and without tension. I’m very understanding when it comes to fear aggression and anxious dogs. My top priority is to make them feel safe around me and respect their boundaries.

I always aim to make pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. About: I have been a veterinary technician/nurse for the past 13 years. My whole life is dedicated to animals and providing them compassionate care. I have worked in a general practice for the last 13 years working with companion animals (cats and dogs) but I have grown up with birds, ferrets, fish, turtles and hamsters. I also have a degree in agriculture and have cared for livestock. I truly love all animals and will always take care of each individual pet as if they were my own. I have a team of veterinary professionals that I can reach out to if there was ever an animal emergency or guidance needed. My goal is to make sure that while the pet parent is away, their loved ones are well cared for! Pet care is a daily staple for me: my job is very flexible and I am able to move my job around to tend to the needs of the pets I am caring for. Whether that’s me coming home on a regular basis or stopping by your home to a similar routine of your own. My goal is to achieve the same routine you would have while you’re home to give your loved ones the stable routine they’re used too! In home: I have property where I can take the dogs out on long walks and can play with them with a great deal of space. They will always have access to water and will feed them according to their set schedules. I have space for crates if your pets do better crated while inside and if I’m away. They will be smothered with cuddles and treats if I’m able to. Clients Home: I will make sure to adhere to the routine you have already established at home, whether that’s long walks or playing in the backyard. Stick to the feeding schedule and ensure they are stress free while you’re away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
