“Emily is the best ever!! I was out of town for a week and she came every day to see my two cats and she did so much for me! She fed them, played with them and helped with the litter and washing their food bowls. I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. She texts back right away if you need her and she will give your pets tons of attention. She is awesome!!”

About: I love dogs and having one of my very own whom I adore more than ever, I can assure you your furry friends will be safe, well cared for, and without a doubt will love me! I've taken care of dogs of all sizes, and cared for litters of puppies as well. I am a college student. I'm looking forward to earning extra money between classes and spending lots of time with your fur babies. I love animals and so excited to help people take care of their pets. When I’m taking care of pets in a client’s home, I stick to whatever routine the owner has for feeding, walks, playtime, and medication. I always make sure they’ve got fresh water, clean bowls, and a comfy space. I clean up any messes, take care of the home while I’m there, and make sure their pet feels safe and relaxed. I also send photo or text updates so the owner knows how things are going.

I am available evenings and weekends and with advanced notice can have addl availability. Last minute availability also possible.. Feel free to ask. Holiday availability possible too. I do not board dogs and will not bring other dogs to my home. But i am willing to sit at your home and ensure your pet is safe and happy.
“Lindsay did a great job taking care of my cat. She even offered to make an extra trip to bring in a Amazon package. She provided lots of photos and updates in the Rover Card which helped put me at ease with my anxious kitty. My cat came out on the first day Lindsay stopped in which means she must have made her feel safe. :)”

About: For as long as I can remember, there has always been animals in my house, but the last 13 years are where my real growth has happened for me as a pet parent and carer. In my own home, there’s always been a variety from dogs to hedgehogs to cats to lizards. I have often found myself as a haven for wayward creatures in need of respite. I have experience caring for, raising, and training puppies as well as caring for senior dogs. I work full time as a teacher but I am often around on the weekends and evenings and am happy and able to make pets a part of my routine! Any space I am in is always treated with the upmost respect— I don’t touch what isn’t mine, I don’t touch what I don’t need to. Integrity and honesty are paramount. If there is an issue with anything, I of course will be upfront about it, as that is what I would expect and want from anyone in my home. Trusting me to come into your home is a big deal, and I would never want to jeopardize your peace of mind.
About: I was born and raised around animals. Dogs and horses being the primary, I've had a couple cats and a bird when I was little. All of my dogs I have gotten as puppies and have done the training myself. I am willing to train in any language you want (basic commands) and I have experience working in vet clinics, which will make it easier for me to see incoming medical concerns. I can tend to your babies outside of my full time job. I do have a 6 year old that has also been raised around animals. I will give them time to go outside play and potty and recieve lots of love (if they like to cuddle). Cuddle time is vital.
“Kim is so lovely and is my pups new best friend! I am so happy to have found her. Kim sent me lots of videos and pictures, which was much appreciated. I will not hesitate to use her again.”

About: I have been a veterinary technician/nurse for the past 13 years. My whole life is dedicated to animals and providing them compassionate care. I have worked in a general practice for the last 13 years working with companion animals (cats and dogs) but I have grown up with birds, ferrets, fish, turtles and hamsters. I also have a degree in agriculture and have cared for livestock. I truly love all animals and will always take care of each individual pet as if they were my own. I have a team of veterinary professionals that I can reach out to if there was ever an animal emergency or guidance needed. My goal is to make sure that while the pet parent is away, their loved ones are well cared for! Pet care is a daily staple for me: my job is very flexible and I am able to move my job around to tend to the needs of the pets I am caring for. Whether that’s me coming home on a regular basis or stopping by your home to a similar routine of your own. My goal is to achieve the same routine you would have while you’re home to give your loved ones the stable routine they’re used too! In home: I have property where I can take the dogs out on long walks and can play with them with a great deal of space. They will always have access to water and will feed them according to their set schedules. I have space for crates if your pets do better crated while inside and if I’m away. They will be smothered with cuddles and treats if I’m able to. Clients Home: I will make sure to adhere to the routine you have already established at home, whether that’s long walks or playing in the backyard. Stick to the feeding schedule and ensure they are stress free while you’re away.
About: I’ve grown up around animals and have hands on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’ve fostered a variety of breeds from Great Danes to dachshunds and Rottweilers so I’m comfortable with different temperaments and needs. For the past 6 months, I’ve also been helping with pet sitting and dog care, including walks, feeding, playtime, and providing a calm, consistent routine. I always aim to make pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m based in Branford and commute to Gainesville for college, so my schedule can vary slightly throughout the semester. That said, I do my best to be flexible and accommodate requests whenever possible. I’m typically available for care in both areas, including weekends and many weekdays, including holidays with a proper heads up, and I’m happy to coordinate times that work best for you and your pet’s routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs. I’m experienced handling dogs with different energy levels and temperaments, and I always prioritize secure environments, proper leash handling, and careful supervision. I provide regular updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
About: I’m familiar with all types of dogs from yorkies to pit bulls I’m used to every type of dog. I’m flexible and willing to learn all your dog’s needs to make sure that you feel comfortable with them in my care. I’m currently studying for my certification in Histology so I am in and out of the library. I’d love to get a serotonin boost by taking care of your babies in the mean time. I have a big beautiful yard with a pond and two little dogs who love friends. I can also give your baby a wash if they decide to take a dip in the water.
About: I have had pets my entire life and have always had an active role in taking care of them. From watching my family dogs while my parents are away to taking care of friends' and family friends' pets, to having my own fur baby, I love loving on them and taking care of the ones that bring us joy! I am a college student and work 3 days a week, so my availability is variable but I am very open. Dropping in to say hello or taking your baby on a walk will fit right in for me! Communication is key. Keeping in touch is the most important part when taking care of your fur baby so I can know exactly what they need! Plus you'll get some cute pics of them while I'm at it :)
“As a business owner in the boarding and dog industry myself, trusting someone to stay in my home and care for my dogs was a huge deal for me — especially since our dogs have quite a few senior and special-care needs. Jonathan absolutely exceeded every expectation. We are definitely “those” pet owners with a million instructions wanting everything done just right, and he handled all of it with patience, kindness, and professionalism. His communication was incredible. Any time I reached out, he responded within minutes, which gave me so much peace of mind while we were away. It’s very rare to find people you genuinely trust with your home and your animals, but he made the entire experience stress-free. The dogs were well cared for, happy, and all of their special needs were accommodated without issue. Honestly, this experience changed things for us. For the first time, we actually feel like we can travel and enjoy vacations without worrying the entire time. We’re already planning our next trip knowing we have a person we can truly rely on. Highly, highly recommend Johnathan Absolute gems.”

“Leah is amazing with my dogs! She takes them out three times a week for an hour, and they always come back happy and well-exercised. She’s reliable and truly cares. Highly recommend!”
About: My mother use to work in a kennel, she taught me everything I know about animals. I've taken care of lots of dogs and cats. I use to take care of my neighbors dogs for years until I moved, we had our family dog for a very long time sadly he passed away a year ago to old age. I'm a new mother of currently a 1 year old and having trouble finding work. I figure walking dogs and/or cats can still give me lots of time to spend with my daughter and make some money. I'm available almost always. I live in a safe and friendly neighborhood. Some of our neighbors have dogs that are friendly. Plenty of grass area and we do lots of walking around the block.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
