“Naya is AMAZING! My husband and I have a long commute and needed someone to take care of our pup during the way while we're at work. Before we found Naya, we were really concerned about leaving him somewhere else for so long during the day. But we really lucked out in finding Naya! Naya has her own 2 dogs and a huge backyard that our pup loves to play in! She takes him for walks, teaches him tricks, and helps us so much by training with him as well! Our pup comes home every day happy and tired, and is excited to go back in the morning. Naya is so attentive, caring, and loving to our pup and we feel so lucky that we found her!”
“Ed and Amy are pleasant and attentive to their pet guests. Plus, they are very good about making sure animals get bathroom breaks and exercise. In addition, Gunner’s warm demeanor always makes people feel welcome.”

“Ruth provided excellent service and was flexible in meeting my schedule. She is very friendly and quickly responded to my text messages with all questions answered. She shared her awesome home with Loki for the day and he thoroughly enjoyed himeself. I will definately contact her for the next time I need a pup sitter. Thanks Ruth.”

“Kacie was awesome! She took great care of Queen while I was away at work. Kacie is very easy to communicate with and was extremely accommodating when my schedule was switched up at work last minute. Multiple videos were sent of their daily adventures. Kacie took Queen to the park or on a hike multiple times throughout the day. I 100% recommend Kacie if you need a dog sitter!”

“Jasmine was so great with Willow! She took her to the dog park, was flexible with my schedule, and even washed Willow’s bedding when she happy peed on it. Will definitely use Jasmine in the future!”

“Maggie had a great time having a calm day with Dana instead of staying home for our 3 year old daughter’s birthday party (with 12 other 3 year olds!) - Dana was really responsive and very responsible and Maggie was so happy!”

“Alexis is AMAZING! She is so kind and wonderful. A true gem. Remi loved her instantly. She treats him as if he is her own and completely goes above and beyond as any pet parent would! She is now part of our family. ☺️”

“I have used Michelle for both of my dogs, yesterday was her first time watching my 3 month old yorkie & she did a wonderful job. She made sure he was comfortable because he was afraid at first. I really appreciate Michelle for all of her help. I highly recommend her to anyone needing pet sitting services.”
“Alex took care of Pepe like he was her own. I very much appreciate the videos, photos, and updates. She was very good at trying to bring Pepe out of his shell. I will book with Alex again!”

“Charvé was a life saver with a last minute request when my other sitter arrangements changed. She was warm and welcoming and she kept me updated. My dog also had a blast meeting new friends.”

“If I could give Lindsay 10 STARS I would!!! If you're traveling to the Annapolis area and don't know who to trust with your most precious asset - your pup (this was me!) - choose Lindsay! As you can see from all of Lindsays reviews, she is amazing with animals - its in her heart - but what makes Lindsay stands apart is her responsiveness, her communication, her ability to work with your schedule. She is so kind, and loving towards your dog, that you can enjoy your time away with peace in your heart. Thank you for everything Lindsay! <3”

About: I’ve been an animal lover and advocate since I was a small child. I’m now 37, have volunteered for Rude Ranch in Davidsonville, have 4 dogs of my own that I adore. I believe pets are family and should be treated as such. I also believe all pet parents wishes should be strictly followed. They are like children, after all. I promise to give as much care and love to your pet as I would my own. I’m experienced with dogs, cats, and even small animals like ferrets and guinea pigs. I would love the opportunity to work with your pet. I promise you won’t be disappointed. My availability is very flexible since most of my days and nights are free. I’m looking forward to working with you. Currently I have very open availability as I am a freelance dog groomer but I am expecting to start working with a mobile grooming company soon. I have a fenced in yard and four friendly dogs. I also can provide a crate if necessary. I am an AKC certified dog groomer.

“Lucie was absolutely wonderful with my dog! The photos and updates she sent showed just how happy and comfortable he was—his big smiles said it all. It’s clear she genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she watches. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such great hands. Highly recommend and would definitely book with her again! Thank you so much!”

I have a part-time job as an in home care giver, Taking care of the animals in my free time is a pleasure, I am happy to be with them. Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Herald Harbor commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
