About: I have been in pet care since I 2019 starting with my own puppy. Since then I have worked in professional pet care in education and training through Petco and local businesses. I am dedicated to providing the best and personalized care to your fur baby. I know how important trusting someone to watch over your pet is. I myself have three dogs, two cats, one bird, one spider, five frogs, and one house full of beautiful chaos and love. I want to be the person to put your mind at ease while you are away. During my time with your animals, I will treat them as they are my own with kindness and respect. I will be honored to help care for your little (or big) pet babies! I want this to be my full time job as much as possible. I have my internship (animal care at a local AZA certified zoo) Monday and Friday, but am otherwise free. I have a two story duplex with a fenced in yard in a quiet and safe neighborhood. I love being outdoors and can even offer hikes after getting to know your dogs a little more. I thrive on attention to detail and can even do medication administration and body examinations.
“Laura and her family were absolutely amazing to my coco. I went out of state on vacation and often missed coco, but could always go back to the pictures and updates we’d receive throughout the trip. We did a meet and greet before hand and Laura’s dog Harley was very friendly and excited to see both of us. Laura and her family are the best and I’m happy we were able to find them.”

“Emily was awesome! Her response time was great. We don’t worry once about Claude. He was smiling lots when we picked him up! We’ll definitely be booking with Emily again.”

About: I have been pet-sitting for my neighbors, boss, and co-workers since 2010. While I occasionally board pets in my home, I usually provide pet/house-sitting in the customer's home. I walk/feed/brush dogs, administer oral medication if indicated, and spend time playing with them. I also take in mail, water plants, and take out trash/recycling. I am a newly retired teacher, now only working part time. I am available for your pet care needs early morning, early afternoon, & evenings. If I am providing care in my home, I can offer to take dogs for a walk in a nearby state park. I try to keep the pets' feeding and walking schedules consistent with that of the owners.
“Jazmine (and her boyfriend Norman) took wonderful care of our 12-year-old black Lab, Judy, who is a cancer survivor and a bit particular—sweet, but needy and not a fan of other dogs. Jazmine cared for her in her home, made sure she had her morning medicine, and sent us daily updates with snuggle photos that made us feel completely at ease. Judy was clearly loved and beautifully looked after. Warm, professional, and trustworthy—highly recommend.”

“We loved our first experience with Matthew! He was great with Ace & reassured us many times. He updated us and Ace had such a great time! We will definitely be coming back 🙌🏼 thank you so much!”

“Marleny R. did a great job sitting Simone, our year old golden retriever. As we left, I saw Simone jumping and running after a toy in the back yard with Marleny's spouse and when we returned Simone seemed very content. This was her first time away from us since she was eight weeks old. I plan to use Marleny as a sitter in the future and will recommend her to friends.”

“Nicolas and Renee are incredibly wonderful. They made Louie feel right at home and at ease, which is important since it’s our first time leaving him. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. They kept us updated daily with pictures and took excellent care of him. When we picked him up, he smelled great. They’re truly the best. I highly recommend their family to anyone looking for a quality, safe, and reliable place for their pet.”

“Sarah was very nice and communicative. I felt confident my dog was in good hands, and reassured that she had ways to keep dogs separate as needed. My dog seemed to be in great spirits when I picked him up! I'm sure he enjoyed the fenced in yard and kids”

“I was so very lucky to find Stefi. I always have trouble boarding my dog Glory. She responded promptly and agreed to take her. I was so relieved as I had a flight in the afternoon. She’s also very reasonably priced. Will definitely use her services again.”

“Isabella, a was very attentive to Koa! He does not get along with people but he was cared for and pampered enough that he came out of his shell. Kept us updated throughout and sent us loads of photos. Can’t thank her enough for the amazing hospitality!”

“This is my second time booking with Gwen. Each time was a phenomenal experience. Gwen was extremely thoughtful, provided frequent updates, and several pictures of my pup's vacation. Always appreciated, thank you!”

“Doug and his family took very good care of our lil' pup. We were grateful to know she was in safe keeping with them. They were patient with her while she warmed up and they enjoyed her snuggles when she finally did. Doug sent photos & updates at regular intervals. We appreciated his prompt responses to our questions. Thanks, Doug & family for keeping Penny in your care!”

“Cristel is amazing. She was responsive, wanted to do a video call to understand Teddy’s needs, and sent several updates for his one night stay with her in preparation for a much longer stay later this month. We are very happy to have found her because we can tell she really enjoys caring for others’ pets.”

“Parcha came home pooped from all the fun she had at Dawn’s. Jasper, Dawn’s 5 month old dog and Parcha played day and night. Dawn’s boys did not want Parcha to leave. It’s a no brainer when I need someone to care for Parcha.”
“Katie provided wonderful care for our dog at her residence while we were away. She took the time to get to know myself and my dog prior to her stay. It was our lab's first time boarding and Katie sent updates regularly throughout the day which helped ease the transition. Katie's professionalism, passion and love for the animals was evident throughout the entire experience. Highly recommend!”

“Jennifer and Jon were fantastic!! Our 8 month old King Charles Spaniel was taken care of and treated like family. We were sent pictures and videos throughout the weekend and were kept updated about Maisy’s activities. It was wonderful to go away for the weekend and have no worries that our puppy was in great hands. We will definitely have our precious puppy stay with them again!! We give Jennifer and Jon our highest recommendation without reservation!!”
“So accommodating and friendly. This was our first time boarding, and pretty instantly we knew our pup was in good hands! The pictures were so appreciated, and we’re incredibly grateful for the care our dog was given.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
