“My pup came home happy and tired!!! Ana was incredibly communicative and responsive throughout the whole process and made sure to send me a picture of my girl every day!! I would absolutely bring her back and recommend Ana to anyone!!!”

“We are so thrilled with Emily! With how nervous our dog is, he warmed up immediately to her and even started to come out of his shell so soon. Emily is very thoughtful and courteous with how much she updates us. Will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Alexandra was great and we felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her for a long weekend. She has a beautiful property where she took our dog out for daily hikes. Great communication throughout her visit and we received regular photos. Highly recommend!”

“We left our boy with Cristel for 4 nights when we had to go out of town. She kept us updated with photos and videos at different times throughout the days to make sure we knew he was being taken care of. Baxter seemed relaxed and content when we picked him up. Would be glad to use Cristel again. Thank you!”

“Mario always enjoys his time with Marleny and her family. Other dogs he is able to play with and fenced yard to run around. He welcomed himself right in this past weekend at drop off. We will keep using Marleny to care for our pup.”

“Elia was the perfect match for my dog Mya. From her communication, personality, kindness, and overall love for my dog. I felt in good hands. Will be using her again. She is a blessing and highly recommend to anyone.”

“I wish that I could give her 100 stars!!!!! We are so lucky to have found Janny....she is one of a kind!!! My husband and I were in a bit of a situation. We had unexpectedly rescued a 14 week old puppy from a rescue and had already had a vacation planned out of the country. I knew he was too young to go to a kennel and I honestly did not want him in that situation. At this point, I wasn't even sure we would be able to go away. Asking someone to care for a puppy is a hard task. We had only had him for 3 weeks and not much time or training. I had looked online and found the site/app for Rover. I found Janny, I selected the dates that I would be needing, she got back to me very promptly. I explained the situation. How he was a puppy and not fully trained and was going to be a lot of work. She said YES!!!!! She understood how he was going to need extra attention and a lot of patience. This honestly didn't even make her think twice.. When we dropped him off she wanted to know EVERYTHING about him and what needs we wanted her to fulfill. From feeding times, walks, playtime, treats etc. Also, she is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to animals.....I swear she should have been a vet. She went above and beyond to make our puppy be comfortable and happy in our absence. Again, its hard to expect someone to have patience with a new puppy, especially one that isn't their own. She sent me daily messages and photos everyday which made me happy and not worry about his well being in fact, in the pictures she had sent me, he seemed like he didn't even know we were gone!!!:} He was having a great time and that made it easier to enjoy our time away. She is by far a life savior and I never thought I would be so happy to have met someone like her. After we picked him up, I felt like Loki not only had a new "Puppy Aunt", but we had also met a new friend!!!!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND She truly cares about your pet as if it was her own <3”

“Laura is a all around loving mother, she treated my Son (pet doggie) Noel as family. Her sensitivity and patience calmed my dog's separation anxiety. He adjusted easily, as her kids and husband showed him love and caring. She was a wonderful responsible boarder. I will definitely use her services again. My Heartfelt Thanks Again to Laura, her Husband and Kids. A Big Kiss from Noel to All. God Bless Always.”

“Amanda was so awesome! She gave me several updates while we were away, which really calmed my nerves since this was the first time leaving our dog, Asher. Asher got a ball to his eye, which irritated it a little bit and Amanda knew exactly what to do! She even gave us extra eye drops to go home with. Amanda has 3 of her own dogs and watches others, so I know Asher had a great time running around and constantly playing. We are so appreciative that our babe was taken such good care of!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - East Stroudsburg
My wife and I have no kids, just our 2 Cavalier Spaniels. They are super precious to us. Our youngest has never spent a day without us in 2 1/2 years so we were paranoid about her. All of that paranoia and worry melted away the moment we met Laurie. She is kind, detailed and has a super clean home free of hazards that our pets could get into. Laurie spent time to read an entire page of instructions for just a 1 night stay and ask all the questions. Our pets got their homemade food and medicines/supplements on time. We got updates regularly with pictures. No one will take better care of your pets!! We will repeat next year. Thanks again Laurie!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
