About: I'm a certified veterinary assistant, and I’m currently in school to obtain my veterinary technician certification. I interned at a veterinary clinic for six months and have been working at a dog daycare and boarding facility for almost a year now. I work part-time. My shifts are either 6:30-1:30, 6:30-11:30, and 1:30-7, and on days I “double” I have a 2-hour break in between. Besides work, I am taking an online class for Vet Tech, so I can do it anywhere I need to. I have been around various breeds. I know the warning signs of when a pet is scared or not comfortable, and I always take my time with new fur friends.

“Huge thanks to Elsie for helping me when I injured my leg. She is so accommodating with last minute schedule changes, and my pup Petey just loves her! Thank you so much for your help, I will definitely be rebooking with Elsie after surgery!! 😊😊”

About: Hey there! I’m a teacher, trail enthusiast, and proud fur mom to a rescue mixed pup named Sherlock. When I’m not grading biomedical labs or herding students through science experiments, you’ll find me in the mountains chasing the next hiking/biking trail—or chasing Sherlock around the backyard playing fetch (he’s winning, for now). As someone who knows the juggling act of a busy schedule and a beloved pet, I’m here to help make your life easier with drop-in visits and dog walking that feel more like playdates than chores! Whether your pup needs a brisk walk to burn off zoomies or a midday check-in full of tail wags and treats, I’ve got it covered. Cat parents, I see you too! I’m gentle, patient, and totally fluent in “cat”—whether that means lap cuddles, feather wand marathons, or just keeping the food bowl filled to royal standards. I know every fur baby has their own personality, and I make it my mission to meet them where they are. I’m family-oriented, active, and passionate about animals of all kinds. Charlotte is my playground, and I love exploring its parks, neighborhoods, and pet-friendly spots. If your pet likes fresh air and good vibes, we’ll be fast friends. Let’s connect! I’d love to meet your four-legged family member (and spoil them a little, too). I do have some flexibility as a teacher! I have summers off, most holidays, and some random days here and there. I get out early afternoon so I do have availability from early afternoon until nights. Weekends I am available any time typically. I will make sure your fur baby gets whatever all the love and attention it needs! If it is to get some zoomies out, be fed, play time, and maybe a few extra belly rubs!

“Danya jumped in at the last minute when our normal dog walker fell through. She was very responsible and walked our dog every day at the time we requested, and sent pictures so we could see our baby. We appreciated her quick response and flexibility when we were in a dilemma. We will definitely use her again.”

About: We are both big animal lovers and have been taking care of our own pets since we were kids. We moved to Indian Trail from Denver, CO this year, and would love to get to know pets in the area! We currently have a calico kitty named Cleo who is a sassy princess, and we just said goodbye to our sweet senior dog Zeke in July 2025. Erica has always begged friends and family to pet sit for them, and we would love to extend that joy and love to your furry family members as well! Our dog Zeke was very anxious, so we have plenty of experience comforting anxious pets. Teddy previously worked at an emergency vet/kennel business, and has a lot of experience with all kinds of dog breeds and animal behaviors. We both have experience with oral and topical medication administration, and Teddy has injection experience. We would love to welcome your pet into our family and treat them as our own, especially as we adjust to life after 13 years with Zeke ♥️ We both work remotely- Erica on weekends, and Teddy Monday through Friday, so we are always home and someone will always be attentive to your pets. We have a fenced backyard for safe playtime and easy bathroom access. Your animals are welcome to sleep wherever they want in the house- we don’t mind dogs on the bed, couch, or in their crate if that’s where they’re most comfortable! We have several water stations throughout the house that get changed every day. We have plenty of cozy rooms in the house, so your pet can have alone time if needed. Our neighborhood is quiet and walkable.

About: I am a total dog lover! My husband and I rescued our dog Roscoe almost 6 years ago. He is one of the most spoiled dogs I know and is a huge mama’s boy. We enjoy hiking together, and going on walks and for runs along the local greenways in Charlotte and in the neighborhood. He enjoys having other dogs to play with and we pet sit for a few friends and neighbors when they go on vacation, having their dog come and spend time in our home. They always get excited when I pick them up and go home tired from all our walks and outdoor play in our fenced in yard. I send pictures and updates daily. We love spending time playing with other dogs, especially Roscoe! I’m a special education teacher and my husband works in the restaurant business, so he’s home most days and I’m home after school and evenings. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly, playful dog to keep your fur baby active. We are happy to crate your dog when we are not here/at night if this is what they’re used to. Otherwise, we block the stairs off when we need to leave with Roscoe upstairs and your pet downstairs.

About: Animals respond well to my calm, confident energy. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and routine, so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. I treat every pet like my own—with love, respect, and lots of belly rubs! I’m available weekday mornings from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM and evenings from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM—perfect for early walks, dinner visits, or bedtime check-ins. Weekends are fully open, so I can accommodate a wide range of pet care needs, including daytime visits, overnights, and extended stays. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding, walking, playtime, and medication instructions exactly as provided, and I make sure your pet gets plenty of love and attention!

“Gabrielle is the best dog walker, always taking great care of our pup! She’s a great communicator, provides great pictures and walk summaries, and is always accommodating to our schedules. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog walker!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have one of my own so I am experienced in taking care of pets. I just started with Rover but I am ready to take care of your pet. I’m currently on my summer vacation, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pets! I’m available for walks whenever needed and any other care needed. I have a big fenced yard and three friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed or give them the time they need to play outside.

About: My family loves dogs, but currently having one doesn’t match our traveling lifestyle. So we love having your pups visit us while you’re away. We used to foster for many years where we used to live. I like structure for my kids and the pups I take care of. I appreciate dogs with good manners. I have 3 kids, one that is a dog whisperer and is willing to play fetch at any time. I have 5 acres, so lots of walking and play areas. The house is far from the street so no disturbance to any dogs who enjoy their quiet time! I have a stay at home family, I home school so I am available throughout the day. I do have small stretches where my family and I are out of the house but not more than 4/5 hours max at a time, around 2 times a week. Morning coffee time for me, means outside morning bathroom time for my guests, followed by breakfast. Then attention time whatever that looks like for the individual pup. Outside breaks as needed. Afternoon play time followed with dinner. Last potty break before bed. Dogs are only allowed on the 1st floor that is all hard surfaces for easy clean up in the event there is an accident. All dogs are on leash when outside for safety. I do have 2 cats, however they are outside pets, they do not come inside. With puppies I typically do leash training, making sure they are with me at all times until they can show a level of independence and rule following, not getting into any mischief.

About: I have been pet sitting since I was 10 years old. I love dogs and love walking/running outside. I grew up with a toy poodle who lives til 17. He was my tiny best friend. I love to walk daily outside especially with a pet to keep me company! I can pet sit during my work break and after work and on weekends. I am respectful of how people like to do their own thing with their pets and will do as they request to keep their pets happy!

About: There has never been a time when I did not have a pet - I love animals wholeheartedly. I will give your pet the attention they deserve while you are unable to, and I will enjoy doing it! I have had pet sitters who go in and out and don’t actually spend time with the animal. I will spend as much time with your pet as they allow me to have, while also taking care of the essentials. I work from home, so my schedule is quite flexible, and as long as there is WiFi, I can work anywhere, meaning I can spend longer periods of time with your pet. Please consider me for your next pet care needs. I look forward to meeting your fur babies!

Erica & Teddy S.Star Sitter
“Erica is an amazing and loving pet caregiver. She watched my large dog for a week and now she is one of his favorite people! My dog has a lot of separation anxiety, and it is stressful to find someone to watch him and give him the attention and care he needs (medications, cuddles, etc.). My mind was at ease knowing Erica, a responsible, experienced dog owner, was watching my dog, giving me peace of mind to enjoy my vacation. Further, she watched my dog at my house, and I came back to a clean house with everything in its place. I trust her 100% and know she would create a loving second home for any animal at her house as well. I can't say enough how much I would recommend Erica for your pet and peace of mind!”

Natalie M.
“Natalie has been a huge help through out the years! She has taken are of and most importantly loved on my dog, Darla. We continue to use her for watching our pup and highly recommend her to anyone who wants someone to love on their dog when they can't be there.”

Leah A.
“Leah is so loving and playful with my dogs which makes me so comfortable leaving them with her! This makes me much more trusting and I know they will be well taken care of! I have small dogs (5 lbs) and big pit bulls (90 lbs) and she treats them all as her babies! She definitely has had experience with all sizes.”
