âIâm really happy I picked Anna to look after my cats! She gave me peace of mind about leaving them while I was on vacation, knowing theyâd be well cared for. Iâd definitely ask her to watch them again in the future!â

About: New to Rover, but NOT new to pet care! I have taken care of dogs, cats and other animals since I was 12 years old! I've had pets of all kinds for the past 10 years and I have also been hired to pet-sit for family, friends, and neighbors throughout middle school, high school and college! Additionally, my father owned a small dog walking business in our town while I was growing up, so I have lots of experience with walking all kinds of dogs. I am familiar with how to walk with and take care of dogs of all sizes from chihuahuas to great Danes! And I have experience working with varying ages, from puppies to older doggos who need additional care such as medication administration or walking accommodations. In addition to growing up with dogs, I've also had and taken care of cats, reptiles (lizards and turtles), rodents (hamsters, guinea pigs, rats & rabbits), and fish which gives me a wide range of drop-in visit expertise! I am familiar with how to clean liter boxes or small animal enclosures/cages, cleaning water fountains and food bowls, serving food and treats, administering medications, playing with your pet or using other forms of enrichment, etc. I am looking forward to working with you and your pet(s)! During the school year I work part-time, so I have plenty of time to hangout with your pet(s)! I am available on weekdays from 8am-1pm and 6pm-11pm. My weekend availability fluctuates, but when I am in town I am available on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-9pm! Over the summer (June-Aug) I work as a camp counselor, so I am unavailable during the week but have availability over select weekends. I currently offer dog walking and drop-in visits for dogs, cats or small animals. To ensure your pet gets the best from me, I make sure that I have detailed instructions about what your pet needs from my visit and/or walk. This includes having conversations about things like how much to feed them and when, litterbox changing specifics, changing your pets water, keeping your pets areas clean, any medication instructions you have for me, where you want me to walk your dog, expectations for waste disposal, or any other specific details I need from you in order to take care of your pet!
âDarby is the best! She takes great care of our cats and considered things very thoroughly! We felt so relaxed and happy with the care and detailed communication Darby provided when we were on vacation.â

âJoan has been a sitter for us twice on very short notice and done a fabulous job! She takes great photos, super reliable and is very communicative in providing updates!â

âSamantha was wonderful! She was super communicative while doing her drop-ins and sent so many photos! My dogs seemed to love her and it made me smile to see how well they took to her. As an anxious fur mom, knowing they were in good hands was priceless. đ¤ I highly recommend her to anyone looking for car for their fur babies.â

âOur kitty is extremely shy around new people, so I don't think Brittany was able to see much of her, but Brittany was great. She made sure Inara always had fresh water and a clean litter box and provided a reassuring presence once a day while we were out of town for Thanksgiving. I highly recommend her! We will definitely be booking with her again.â

âLydia did a great job dropping in to take care of my cat. She had to give pills, kept me updated well, and sent pictures every time! My cat seemed happy when I returned and the house was well taken care of. Would hire again!â

âTina was very communicative and thorough with her questions ahead of the visit to ensure she had everything needed day of without any uncertainties. She also met our dogs twice ahead of the visit for everyone's mutual benefit and comfort. Tina provided detailed notes of our dogs outings, feeding, and activities, along with photos of their time. I know our animals had a great visit with Tina and would recommend her to any perspective sitting needs.â

âJen was great. She went above and beyond with our dogs. She was very detailed in her reports and provided lots of great pictures. Would definitely recommend.â

âMegan is awesome!! Megan was able to help us with feeding and checking in on our cats. Our cats have different foods/needs and Megan handled it all well! Definitely will use for pet sitting again!!â

âLeah did a wonderful job taking care of Helen and Violet. When I returned home Helen and Vi were very mellow and relaxed because they had excellent care :) It meant so much to me to know that they were well cared for while I celebrated Christmas with my family in Oregon.â

âSylvia was a fantastic cat sitter! She took care of our cat Rhubarb for 3 days, including giving her oral medication. I really appreciated Sylviaâs reports about how Rhu was doing and I could tell from the pictures that Rhu loved being with her! Sylvia gave Rhu lots of affection and play time. I highly recommend Sylvia as a drop in cat sitter and we hope to work with her next time we go out of town!â

âKathryn was amazing! Kept gus busy, happy, and enriched. Provided great updates and the best photos ever!!!!! Reliable and great communication :) 10/10 recommendâ

âVanessa was absolutely wonderful! Great communicator â with people and pets alike. Very attentive to my kitty and spent time laying on the ground and meeting him where he was to earn trust and make him comfortable. Definitely recommend!!â

âI canât say enough good things about Hailey. She is consistently reliable, incredibly kind, and genuinely invested in the well being of my two dogs. They absolutely love her! Sheâs great with communication, pays attention to the little details, and always makes sure the girls get the care, exercise and affection they need. Itâs such a relief to have someone you can trust completely- Hailey is that person. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care!â
âAmanda was wonderful! I reached out short notice while I was out of town and my wife had a longer day at work than usual. She did a drop-in visit for our two dogs and everything went smoothly. Weâd happily book again!â

About: In addition to the years I've spent taking care of family dogs, I've spent the past five years fostering a variety of rescue dogs of all breeds and sizes. I've helped to foster and adopt out more than 15 rescue dogs at this point, with each one holding a special place in my heart! I have plenty of experience with dogs who are nervous, anxious, or shy. A lot of my foster dogs have come in being very nervous, understandably. I pride myself on creating a comfortable, relaxing environment for dogs to decompress. If they love to play and goof around, great! If they take more time to warm up to me, that's okay too! I usually find that sticking to a schedule, taking long walks around the neighborhood, and creating comfy spaces around the house where a dog can either be alone or snuggle up to me can do wonders for a nervous pup. My sidekick in all of this is my 5lb Brussels Griffon/chihuahua mix, Grizzy. He loves everyone he has ever met in his life - human, canine, or other :). While I do like to keep new dogs separate from Grizzy to start with in order to let them settle in a bit, dogs usually end up loving Grizzy just as much as I do. He's not huge on playing with other dogs, but loves hanging out with them wherever they are, whether that's in a comfy bed or looking out the back door into the neighborhood. If a dog needs space, then Grizzy is good with that too! If your dog needs a playmate to get their energy out, then Grizzy won't be a good fit; if your dog is looking for a snuggle buddy, though, Grizzy would be perfect! I'll make sure your dog is as comfortable in my home as they are in your own home. I'll have time for plenty of walks and playtime, as well as snuggles on the couch. I have most fosters sleep in a crate next to my bed, although if your pets are more comfortable snuggling up with you at night, they're welcome to sleep in my bed as well. I'm currently working from home full time, so I'd love to have your dog join me here at home! If you'd prefer, I'm available to stop by for a walk or a drop-in visit anytime during the day. I've fostered several rescue dogs over the past few years, all with varying levels of training and anxiety. I know how to make sure that a dog doesn't escape out the door or while on leash, when they may need more love, or when they're happier being left alone. I am currently working from home full-time, so I will be around to devote plenty of time to your pup while they are in my care! While I am working from home, I am able to take your dog out every 2-6 hours as needed. Before and after I am working, I'll have more time to play with and train your pup. Note: even though I am working from home full-time, I still need accurate pick-up and drop-off times. I do not accept drop-off or pick-up times before 6:30am or after 11pm. If you will be outside of your listed pick-up or drop-off window, please let me know ASAP so I can be sure to be home and ready when you arrive! Since there are no children in my home, it is a very peaceful environment for any dogs who will be staying here. I have no cats, either, if your dog doesn't get along with felines. My own dog tends to mind his own business, and let guest dogs make themselves comfortable. They are welcome on the furniture, and sometimes even decide to cozy up with Grizzy in one of his many dog beds! I do not have a fenced in yard, so I will take any dogs in my care on walks around the neighborhood. There are plenty of other dogs in the neighborhood, but I always avoid on-leash greetings with dogs I'm watching. I'm well-versed in making sure that dogs in my care are comfortable on leash and aren't put in any situations that they dislike, either inside or outside of the home. My home has been dog-proofed very well over the past several years. I am able to pick up toys and Nylabones before your pet comes over, if that may cause any resources guarding issues. I feed my own dog and any dogs in my care completely separately to avoid any issues. I prefer crate-trained dogs, for their safety and for Grizzy's safety as well, if I need to leave the home. If your dog is okay being left out in another room uncrated, then that works well too! I am canine first-aid certified if any emergencies arise. I always keep a stocked dog first aid kit in my home. If your dog takes any medications or needs injections of any kind, I am very comfortable with administering those.
Heistand pet parents share their Rover experiences
We were gone for 10 days and Claire took amazing care of our cats and gave us great updates. Our human shy cat was playing with her and coming up to her by the end! We also have a cat with dietary restrictions and she took care of him without any problems at all. Thanks for taking care of our boys!

As my first experience using Rover, I am very thankful to have found Cassandra!! We hired her for drop in visits, and she left us with daily reports and many happy kitty pictures. :)) I could tell our cat was enjoying her company very much. Weâre so grateful to her for watching him on short notice over the holiday, and for her professionalism. She is a great communicator, and very responsive in her messages. I couldnât have asked for a better person to look after our little guy. :)) Thank you!!!

Since recently moving to Madison, I have been overjoyed to discover Alisha. She has become a lovely caregiver for my anxious rescue dog. Our partnership kicked off with a thorough meet-and-greet that instantly built trust, evolving into drop-in visits and dog-walking sessions, with overnight house-sitting on the horizon for future needs. Alisha's calm, nurturing demeanor is exactly what my dog needs, who has a challenging history of anxiety and trust issues. Alisha consistently shares reassuring photos alongside detailed updates, giving me peace of mind no matter how long I'm away. I would highly recommend Alisha to fellow dog owners, especially those with loving yet challenging pets that require extra patience and understanding. Hazel is forming a genuine bond with her, displaying real joy and relaxation in her presenceâprecisely what I hoped forâand I eagerly look forward to booking her services again.

Lynelle did such a wonderful job with our dog, Remi! Our pup was a bit nervous at first but Lynelle was so patient with her. She is so easy to communicate with and sent cute photos of Remi after the visit! Thank you so much for taking such a great care of Remi!

Heather is our first rover sitter and we couldnât have picked better. She is amazing with Winnie and so caring. She even gives some love and attention to our cat when she visits. I highly recommend Heather if youâre thinking about booking for the first time. đ¤đž

Kiefen was great! He came to and let my dog out during the day. He was very flexible as this was kind of a last-minute thing. He provided pictures and lots of updates. He took great care of my dog and everything was locked and secured when I got home. I would definitely trust him with Thor again!
