About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life (plus horses, goats, cows, chickens, guinea pigs and hamsters). The last 20 years I have had Frenchies and English bulldogs. Along the way I have also had chihuahua's, Rottweilers, pits, cattle dogs, American bulldogs as well as a number of rescue cats. I've adopted many from shelters, however, several showed up on my porch and adopted me. I am currently available 24/7. I can watch dogs in your home or mine. I am available to walk them on a set schedule, which I do with my dog regularly. I currently have a French bulldog, our day consists of reward based training/walks, endless love, healthy treats, enrichment toys, and hikes. I would like to offer this to other pets as well. I am understanding of any dogs special needs or diets. We run a routine program as far as food, feeding time and exercise. I will only board your dog(s)/cat(s) along with mine. I do not double book as I want to keep everyone safe and comfortable.

“Libby had the best time with Neia! She had so much fun with plenty of attention, playtime, outside time, and window gazing - all of her favorite things. She can't wait to come back!”

About: I’ve been training my dog since I adopted her a month ago and we are doing very well! Working on recall and finishing up crate training, soon we will be taking a class at the spca. I also care for my housemate’s cat when he is away. I go on a lot of walks with my dog and would love to help walking yours! I really enjoy walking and spending time with pets and I am usually pretty open every day. I work remote and have a pretty flexible schedule so I’m able to accommodate whatever works best for you. I am happy to follow any and all guidelines you have for your pets at home and during walks. Just let me know and I will comply!

“Erika was amazing with my new pup Goldie. I was super nervous about sending her to day care having spent every waking hour with her since I brought her home almost a month ago. Erika was communicative, understanding, and compassionate about my fears. She was willing to do a meet and greet prior to and I was able to see how Goldie immediately became comfortable with Erika and Magda her friendly pup. Getting updates throughout the day made me happy to know things were going well. When I brought Goldie home she was worn out and ready for a good nights sleep having burned off her daytime energy. Let’s just say we’ll most definitely be going back to Auntie Erika’s as I’ve affectionately named her!”

“My skittish large breed puppy was very happy in Toon's care. He really is excellent with dogs and dogs love him as well. He took him out on plenty of walks and time at the dog parks. Will certainly recommend him and we will be going to him a lot more in the future. We are so lucky he is in our area.”

Hawthorne dog parents share their Rover experiences
Lee is the absolute *best*! When I had to leave my puppy for the first time ever (for a weeklong trip to the east coast), she was super great about reassuring my nerves and keeping me updated on his daily shenanigans—her love for and delight in caring for pups was tangible from our first Rover exchange. Lee's also very knowledgeable; I hadn't realized there was something I could do for my pug's reverse sneezing, but she showed me how to help him out and was great about managing his medications. And when, on a recent frantic morning, I discovered I'd somehow lost my car's key fob in between dropping off my puppy at her (extremely dreamy) doggie daycare and my workplace, she went the extra mile to help me in my desperate efforts to track it down, even checking with her neighbors and going on Nextdoor. TL;DR, I can't say enough great things about Lee and her backyard doggie oasis! And I know my puppy Raisin feels the same!

Lilly provided great care and comfort to my pet during his stay with her. She asked for all the details about my pet and his preferences, she also made every accomodation to ensure he had a safe and comfortable stay. She sent us photo updates and communicated often with great and detailed updates. Thank you Lilly, I felt very comfortable leaving my fur baby with you

Chad took excellent care of my young and energetic greyhound with a lot of separation anxiety. When I picked her up she was happy and excited, but she didn’t show any signs of distress. Prior to my dog’s stay at his home Chad had invited us over for a meet&greet and he took a lot of time to inquire about my dog’s character and behaviors, which made me very confident that things would be alright. Chad was also willing to accommodated my travel schedule. I am happy with the experience and hope he will be available next time I have to go out of town.

Kenneth cared for our Rottweiler mix, Tahoe, on a last minute request! He was very knowledge and we instantly knew we could trust him with our rescue. He clearly understands dogs and loves them. He sent us updates and Tahoe enjoyed his time out in the patio & getting to know Maze. Reliable and truly caring!

Baxter had a great day with Kim and her human and dog crew. :) She sent pics with fun commentary several times (much appreciated -- especially on the first day!. Baxter was wiped out in the evening after a day of play. Kim is clearly a pro at dog care. She was very engaged in our meet and greet and asked lots of good questions. She's very pleasant to chat with and communicates proactively. Looking forward to Baxter's next stay!

This was my 1.5 year old pup's first time being watched by someone other than family, and Sally was the perfect first getaway! She is calm, responsive, flexible, and communicated throughout Piper's first day. Piper was happy and relaxed when I picked her up. I'll ask Sally to watch her again!

Kaitlyn was great- responsive, flexible in scheduling a meet and greet and our dog seemed to take to her right away. She walked our dog several time throughout the day and gave several updates, including pictures. I would definitely recommend Kaitlyn and hope to book her for doggy day care again.

Sophia is a gem of a human as well as being amazing with my older puppy. I almost don't want to give away the secret. She is a professional, warm caring person who clearly loves dogs! She made my little gal comfortable immediately (which is almost unheard of!) and I felt completely confident in her ability to take excellent care of my dog, who is a very nervous, not well trained rescue. Sophia is so experienced, has all the gear your pup might need (beds! treats! pee pads and poop bags!) and a beautiful, clean home with incredible bonus features (an indoor/outdoor dog area for potty breaks, OMG). She even did a meet and greet and a trial run day with our pup to make sure it would be a good fit for everyone. Sophia is just incredible and will be our go-to person anytime we need doggie daycare or trip coverage and I am so, so happy we found her!

Teetouch took such good care of our four month old puppy, Carby! It was our first time leaving him in someone else’s care since we adopted him so we were nervous pet parents, but he was in the best possible care with Teetouch. We received lots of pictures, video, and updates. It was clear that Carby got lots of love and care while we were away.
