“Ok, wow. I moved to town a year ago with my 12-year dog, Malachi. He has never boarded a lot, but since we moved here and don’t know many people, he has had to go “kennel jail”. He liked it there, ok, but he was never excited to go. This time, I took a chance and searched Rover and landed on Sara’s page. From the beginning she made me feel comfortable. She’s super communicative and seemed excited about staying with my boy. During the stay, I got frequent pictures and updates, which was great for my anxiety, this being the first time I’ve left him at home without family watching him. But, that wasn’t the best part. I got to watch my boy be completely head over heels for Sara! He seemed so happy to have her here and was so happy when I got home. It was as if he had the best weekend ever! 20/10 stars, would absolutely recommend and will absolutely book again.”

I have around +2 years of pet-sitting/care experience with diverse dog breeds (chihuahua, pitbulls, schnauzer, mixed) and cats from family members and friends, as well as my own. About: I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, including feeding, providing fresh water, giving medications when needed, cleaning up after pets, playing with them, and making sure they receive plenty of attention and affection. About: Hey there! I have taken care of my families and neighbors pets for years, and with help of a friend I realized I could save for graduate school by doing so. I have had puppies and worked with multiple at the same time, and in general I feel fit for whatever you’ll need me to do. I’m excited to start this journey! I’m currently working part-time over summer, and I would love to use my extra time during the weekdays or weekends to help take care of pets. I am generally free after 1:00 or 4:00 pm. I take my labradoodle on walks daily and make sure her food and water tray is full most of the time. She has an online training I have used a lot of the resources from to teach her new things, like patience! We also make sure to clean the backyard every few days.

I make it a point to step away from my screen for several breaks throughout the day, which provides the perfect opportunity for us to head outside for fresh air and supervised playtime in the yard. Once I log off for the evening, we head out for a long walk to wind down and get some exercise. My weekends are dedicated to trail walking, and I love having a furry friend join me for these longer outdoor adventures. Since I don't have other pets or children, your dog will truly be the centerpiece of my day and will fit right into my active lifestyle. Since I work from home and live alone, I provide a quiet, low-stress environment where your dog is the sole focus of my attention. My day is built around companionship—your dog can lounge in my office while I work, and we take frequent breaks to play in my large, fully fenced-in backyard. I strictly follow your existing feeding and medication schedule to keep their routine as normal as possible. Because I am active, they will enjoy a long evening walk every day and the option for trail adventures on the weekends.

About: I’ve had pets all my life and feel confident in my ability be to caring, responsible, and genuine when dealing with any pup. I will treat any dog like my own—with attention, safety, and affection. I am currently working part time from 5-12pm m,w,th,f but I’m usually available in the afternoon on those days from 3-5 and between classes during the week, but any time could work just let me know and I will try to make it work! Weekends I’m free and available. I’m available to either come to my clients home to watch their pet or stop by for walks or feeding. Really any help the client is looking for I will happily do.

Kendra met us the night before to make sure Lily was good. Lily warmed up to her immediatly. We spent the day up in Mackinac Island and I literally didn't worry about my dogs once. Kendra sent updates with video and pics. We came home to two happy and tired dogs. They went on walks. Kendra even found a great beach to take them out for a little swim. If there was a way I could give her six stars...I would. If you are bringing up dogs to this area and want to hike Chapel Loop or anywhere the dogs aren't able to go...reach out to Kendra. About: When I was young, I had always grown up around dogs & had familiarized myself with their behaviors and antics! As for hands-on experience, I have 2+ years of experience from working at two Animal Shelter’s! For a time, I was an “Animal Caregiver” which was essentially walking dogs, facilitating play groups, administering medications or vaccinations when needed, feeding them, enriching them & learning their behaviors! With the years of experience that i’ve accumulated over time, I have grown very comfortable around most dogs regardless of breed, size, age or needs! I am ready to take on any task thrown at me, and would love to work with you and your furbaby! I am currently working full-time at UPAWS (Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter) and would love to add in some extra time walking dogs, hanging out with cats, or just being able to help out my local community! This will especially help me gain more experience & confident in my caretaking abilites. Of course it depends on the pet and their needs, but I am open to accommodating for any behavioral and/or medical issues if necessary. I will spend plenty of time enriching them (Playing, walking, etc.) as well as encouraging their use of mental stimulation or training. Regardless, I will be sure to keep them on a consistent schedule and give them plenty of love!
